Sewing an "Easy" 1940's DuBarry Pattern (and hating the result)

  • Sometimes, as a relative newbie, I'm mystified by what it could have been that I did wrong to end up with a botched project. It could simply be the sizing itself was the only thing off, or maybe I used the wrong sort of material for this dress. Maybe it needed shoulder pads, or maybe I'm not very good at sewing sleeves that aren't puffy. Or maybe this style of dress just isn't for me. Whatever I guess...

    You should do a VLOG along with your regular material, Mallory, just a suggestion. The way you describe your life, your feelings, your thoughts, etc...just my .02 cents.

    I think the main reason you don't like the dress is the same reason that's bothering me as well......THE FLORAL PATTERN! Lol!!
