Hi Maddie!! soo iconic right!? No stretch so hoping they can fit me for a while. Right!? Was not expecting to meet an idol of mine on that day. Life is crazy!
Hi Heidi, love your style choices, you have a wonderful eye. My favorite outfit was the purple cord bell bottoms, those are keepers. I hope that you continue to share your great finds. Awesome encounter with Anna what a great validation. Mary
Hi Angela you angel!! I miss you so much! Thank you I wanted to go with something simple but still a pop of color! Thank you ❤️ you are beautiful inside and out
Meeting Anna Sui - Wow! Lucky you! Love, love, love the purple bell bottoms! Cute red blouse with the white collar. Looks like it was inspired by Yves St. Laurent's iconic safari style. Your white shoes? I had really similar ones that I wore with my prom dress in 1978 - And I hated them back then, because I really wanted to wear 1950's stilettos, which were hopelessly out of style 😂
Hi Blanca!! Omg yes meeting Anna Sui was soo cool! Same here those purple bell bottoms are just to fabulous!! Regarding the 70s red blouse - exactly it’s definitely giving that iconic safari look! No way!! I knew those shoes have more 70s vibe. Right!? You always want what you don’t have! I get it! Blanca you just understand and I love it!
Have you looked for "mood rings"? Popular in 60's and 70's. Also, I grew up in the 60's and 70's and there was a top that was popular called a "Poor Boy top.' It had a pull ring on the front middle of the top that you could pull down a little bit. The top was also ribbed with vertical lines ribbing. Have you ever seen this top? It was super popular when I was in Jr. High. Yes, we called the schools Jr. Highs in those days (not middle school). I had a emerald green poor boy top.and wore it a lot! Oh, the pull ring was made of metal, not plastic. P.S. I don't remember if Poor Boy tops was actually one word "Poorboy" tops or spelled out as two words. 😊 I had this top in the late 1960''s.
Hi! I need to find myself a mood ring! I also need to do more research on these poor boy tops I’m very interested now. Haha yes terms have changed a lot through the years that’s for sure!! I love how back then the trims were metal and good quality rather than today! Thank you for sharing your experience!!
Fun and fresh, thanks for sharing
Those purple Wrangler pants are iconic! And that was a great story about meeting Anna Sui, too.
