In this video I am out in the field with a farm as they are loading and spreading chicken litter (manure) on a harvested field. This chicken litter is spread on the field and will be used as an organic fertilizer for the next season and maybe other seasons nutrient needs. Chicken litter is a good source of Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium.
The are loading the litter spreaders with a Deere 644K wheel loader and pulling the spreaders with John Deere 8310R tractors.
I can remember cleaning chicken houses out when I was a kid
I’ve never recognized chicken litter before. It’s more different than manure and that’s what my fields need for their fertilization.
Cool, i love seeing diferrent equipment and jobs being done, cheers!
Mike that makes my eyes water just thinking about getting a face full of chicken litter .
Another great video Mike .
The sound of the loader is really nice 🤤
Great flying work, Mike!
I imagine the aroma was "breath taking!" Good video Mike!
That farmer must have a huge chicken operation to generate that much poo. Always great content Mike.
Great video as usual👍
Really enjoy your videos and livestreams
Great vídeo Mike.
🤙 thank you. Great footage
G’day from Australia. Love the videos
Mike that was so close and real when you got blasted with chicken pooo that I could smell it while I watched. LOL. Made my beard grow just watching it. As always, very interesting. Thanks
When we were teenagers, my brother and I had an old car we resurrected from the junk yard. We laughed and laughed as we burned out on top of the chicken litter pile. What a combination of odors. 😂😂
Great awesome video mike
Hello from Wabash, Indiana
Hate to tell you but the loader operator got you 👍✌️
Definitely a distinct smell, sure did make the burley green though.
The green home built is doing a better job. I’ve spread thousands of tons of litter. Efficiency is dependent on loading time. They need to park spreader closer to the pile
I told the guys here I guarantee someone will make a comment about that time you parked far away from the pile.
@@farmhandmike Couldn’t help it😁
Can smell from here lol nice one mike
im the first like! great vid!
Parabéns belo trabalho . Brasil 🇧🇷
Always look for the good of things when you get a face full lol.
So happy that we still don't have smell'ovission yet when it comes to chicken litter. Imagine not being able to "mute" if ever invented 🤣
Try working as an electrician under one of those high rise chicken houses. Yip, did that for 21 years.
@@johnirwin1837 Funny you should mention that, I have been working as an Electrician both in the meat chicken industry stables and at the butchery as well for year. So I think I have smelled the worst of it both when they where alive and dead.
That stuff doesn't smell great😉
Nice video😁👍
only farmhand mike gets you right in the s***. i could smell it lol
Hi Mike, any details on how they built the green spreader? It looks a good size!
Thanks
No I don't other than them telling me they built it themselves. Maybe one of the guys from this farm will read this and comment.
What a chickensh**! 😉
Thanks a lot for the video! 😊👍🏻
👍
Friend of mine who raised chickens, said the manure smelled like money to him
Was that a black terra gator at about 15.20 mark? Good video Mike!
Yeah
✌️✌️✌️
Same marks!✌️✌️✌️
Hahaha! Yeah, that's smelly. I "enjoy" that odour every six weeks when emptying out my broilet houses.
I like Mike less videos on UA-cam, from the imperial co California.
at 4:23 did the manure hit your face?
You sould do a famring video of the amish be so cool
I was always told they don't like to be on camera but some horse drawn farming videos would be pretty neat. I have connections and could probably make it happen in the future.
Yeah be really cool i milk cows and run big tractor
Lol how did it smell 🤣
"City people manure 🤮🤮🤮🤮""farmers manure yummm"
What is potash
potassium
Should park closer to the pile imo
Just remember everyone has a reason for doing things a certain way.
Do you have Facebook fanpage?
farmhand mike on instagram and Facebook
Man if anybody started spreading that junk close to my house, I'd punch em in the nose! hahaha Not only does that stink spread far and wide, it lasts at least a couple of weeks! It qualifies for biological warfare!! lol
Be careful what you say on here. I think your probably kidding but. . .
hahahaha I'm kidding most of the time. Character flaw. It's alright though, they've had my addy for a long time, gave it to them. Even the size of my undies. lol
