In this video I remove a gauge cluster from a 2002 Ford F150 So we can get it repaired. The gauge cluster had the classic odometer display problem. We also removed the overhead compass and temperature display as it also was blank and needed to be repaired along with the instrument cluster. Unfortunately we do not show you how to repair these in this video, but if you have some soldering skills you can find several videos on youtube showing exactly how to repair them. Mine was doing same . I sent it out to get fixed now only left side working . no blinkers either. Light still off. Do you know what could be wrong? How can make Shure plug in back is getting power ? Tab is broken off . That might be my trouble .

How do you put the shift indicator back onto the proper placement I just bought my 1999 Ford f150 a couple weeks ago and it's not in the proper place nor is my speedometer working and the odometer comes and goes as well

Got the same thing in my 99 f150 ive had a few months ago now i think it could just extra play/slop from it loosening so could be as easy as tightening some bolt in there with the gearshift lever but I have no clue🤷🏾‍♂️

@@draco5160 I found out that there are two cables one is about a foot long coming from the instrument cluster then it attaches to a second cable which runs to the transmission from what I've been told

I had the same problem on my 2001 SVT lighting where it will go on and off including the dash lights.

if i am replacing it completely with another cluster how do i make it run with a new one

You would need to call a lock smith to get the key programmed to the cluster because the PATS system is in the cluster. And if you want your mileage to match you can send the cluster to us for odometer correction. It would be a lot cheaper to just get the original cluster rebuilt.
