I really enjoy the energy in this video, it's much better than the trend nowadays of videos to yell out facts at the viewer as if they are on three various energy drinks. On top of that this had really nice art and didn't format Miyamoto's life story into a "Top 10 Facts You Didn't Know About Shigeru Miyamoto's Past!" click-bait.
I believe the switch was designed in this fashion, to encourage children and adults alike to be able to game and explore their environment simultaneously.
Seriously, it's downright spooky how often these videos seem to perfectly coincide with struggles in my own life and things on my mind at the time they're released. I just got back from a few-day vacation in Florida, and there is one major lesson I felt like it taught me both as a creator and as a person: I SERIOUSLY need to get out more in my day-to-day life. Admittedly, that's kind of difficult, since it's usually on the colder side where I live and I can't stand being out in the cold, but this vacation made me realize how just simply getting out of the house and even doing something as simple as taking time to enjoy nature helps me feel like I'm getting more out of life as well as helps me find inspiration. For example, just yesterday I got some ideas I really like just while I was letting my mind wander a bit as I watched the manatees (which I am now convinced are the pugs of the ocean....i.e. adorable and awesome). I never even realized how much inspiration I think I might subconsciously draw from nature before the last few days. This episode confirmed everything I learned. Speaking of my vacation, sorry I didn't comment sooner. The wifi in our hotel room was really flaky and bordering on useless. I was able to watch the video on my phone yesterday, though, and it was amazing, as always. Keep up the awesome job, you guys :)
Nerd Chaos That is awesome! I too really have to, just, DO more with my life. Go out and just explore. Atm though, I'm kind of stuck in my everyday-routine.
This IS a legend in the gaming world...especially for fans of the series. But like with the others, it's the way you present it that I love so much. The drawings are adorable, full of personality with just the right level of detail, and the 'bedtime story' style feels so appropriate. I think I might be on a binge. :)
Love your stories and information...love the story boards and artwork just the way they are. You deserve way more subscribers. Have enjoyed them all. Thank You.
I like to watch with the subtitles on, and there are occasional deviations from the script in them. I know they're probably mistakes, but they feel more like hidden Easter Eggs! In this video, at 4:10, the narrator says "...and secrets," but the subtitles say, "...and secrets to everybody," a nod to a popular line from the game. There was at least one other Easter Egg-quality deviation in there, as well, but I can't remember it. Anyway, I really love these videos, and I appreciate how much heart goes into each one!
When I was a kid one of my cousins had Super Mario World on the SNES and could beat Bowser as small Luigi in less than a minute. Because of that she was my idol growing up, and I looked up to her and wanted to be like her. These days I inspire my younger cousins and the children of my older ones beating half of Super Mario Galaxy in an hour and such. So that kind of reminds me of what you said at the end..!
I get the feeling your channel is going to explode. I love the art style and the way you cover each story. I know you are just in the 6-7k Subscriber range when I post this, but I am excited to see you hit 1m! When that day comes along, I hope you will remember us. ~ Hunter
Fun fact: the second story of the leagend d of Zelda was created because when the game was completed they realized they only used half of the data that they could
Really liked this once since it's coinciding with the new Zelda release next week. (: The narrating and visuals are getting a lot better! Maybe add small animations next? For example with the visual of young Miyamoto finding mushrooms under the log you could do a simple 2 frame animation with the log down and then Miyamoto lifting it up(:
Your videos are really great, i hope you get more viewers and subscribers. Also, i think you can do Hidetaka Miyazaki's life, the creater of Souls series.
I think that line was meant to show the mindset of "young Miyamoto". as a kid anyone would be quick to think they were the only one who knew about it and find joy in it.
My guess is that they are trying to make it sound like they are tell a story (I don't know it's just a guess) because they are called Video Game *STORY TIME*
Can you do a video about the CD-i games and UA-cam Poop videos for us please? We UA-camrs and UA-cam Poopers want to see the ultimate hilariousity of CD-i Mario and Zelda for us please?
The narrator should do audiobooks. Her voice is so soothing.
She just need to cough more often
Sounds like a dark souls npc to me, which is nice.
Sometimes big true true same as small true true
It's dangerous to go alone...
_Never_ forget to take this with you~!
Miyamoto wanted to be a toy designer originally, until he played a little game called Space Invaders.
Explain please
Didn’t he want to be a artist or someone who does puppets?
Didn't he want to be a mangaka (an artist/drawer for manga)?

The chain Chomp from Super Mario is based on that dog.
Makes sense
Thepianist126 XD Maybe. The chain chomp wasn't made by that time.
Thepianist126 NO WONDER THE CHAIN CHOMP IS SO FREAKING SCARY
Oh hekk
@@diegoav974 dude. Its freaking inspired by that dog
I can't believe someone would downvote this, every video in this series is amazing.
It's a bot that dislike videos on youtube
Alan Stoddard i was tempted when she compared myths to videogames. Myths had a purpose beyond entertainment.
@@elvaginon4438 What kind of purpose?

HOW is this channel not more massive? I’ve just found it and I’m absolutely staggered.

That dog on a chain probably gave Miyamoto the idea of Chain Chomp in Mario.
Actually it did!
Feels like a fairy who reading a tale of a hero's journey

Top quality videos - simple, elegant, informative and inspiring. Great work! I'm sure that the channel will hit many a milestone soon enough!
Without miyamoto there would never be any masterpieces
So you’re saying, Shigeru Miyamoto is Bill Watterson.
I could listen to this channel all day

When Shigeru was a kid, he was running around, exploring caves.
When I was a kid, I was a spoiled fuckwit.
Great.
She sounds like the one chick that meets you by the campfire in Elden Ring 😂
Could you imagine if he went back to that cave and documented himself exploring it?
Subtitles at 4:08 "...and secrets to everybody" I see what you did there
The idea and excitement of exploring caves that go deep underground could be a potential main theme in BOTW2 😮
This aged like fine wine
I don't mean to offend u in any way(narrator lady)But your voice is so soothing
swagbro400 how is that offensive?

How could that ever be construed as offensive?
RhythmGrizz. There are feminists who had completely flipped on guys for saying "Hello"

Some people want their lives narrated by Morgan Freeman.
I’d rather you narrate my life.
An interesting subject turned into a slow fairy tale
These are great you deserve way more subs, it's really interesting
This channel is so under rated
I found your channel through Wikipedia of all places. You make very high quality content and deserve more views!
I love the effort in these videos! You give the storybook feel really well, this channel needs more attention.
Ah. So that explains chain chomps.
Simply splendid
I don't always like, comment or share youtube videos, but when I do, it's a video like this! Thanks for making this! Adventure is out there!!! :'D

Saving is truly one of the most important features in gaming. Anyway, it's time to explore my sizeable Steam game backlog!
This was amazing! Plus, I don't know if it was supposed to be like that or not, but the beginning sounded like a game or movie's beginning!
The dog in this story was actually inspiration for chain chomp. And yes a bunch of people already know this.

would be cool to see you do a persona related story!
Why do they always whisper
Because she doesn't want to get caught. She's clearly not supposed to be recording wherever she is.
My guess is that they are trying to make it sound like they are tell a story (I don't know it's just a guess) because they are called Video Game *STORY TIME*
I absolutely love this story so much
7:07 I think I just did.
the intro could have been naration for the final zelda game, just take out the information about shigeru miyamoto
So shigeru miyamoto is like a stan Lee of gamimg
0:12 diego and dora
Small correction: mankind did not share stories before the beginning time, I'm guessing you meant before history ;)
