"If we did it, every one can do it" We couldn't agree more! Living off grid is not easy but it's so freeing in the end!!! We did start 7 years ago and we are so happy that we walked through our fear! In this journey, you will learn so much about yourselves and this is the most valuable gift of this whole experience :) Wish you the best!
Absolutely talented on so many levels ......and Paige will compliment his content exponentially!!! His Film making and photography is exceptional....and he certainly can look to your journey as a huge mentorship!!! Cant wait for Colin and Paiges journey....its BEGUN and the VanWives played a big part in his quest!!! Kudos!!!
Watching this in May 2023, they now have running water, indoor plumbing, and a fully functioning solar system. They also have a beautiful kitchen. So proud of them.
I have been watching Vanwives for a looong time . I just turned 53 . Husband passed away in 2014 . Kids now grown . In 2019 I myself purchased 69 acres with a little beat up cabin . They helped me take the leap with their content . And now I am about to drive across the country to spend the winter pulling my teardrop camper to Az ! I’m scared but excited ! Can’t wait ,pushing past the fear, live my most free life !
Thank-you Craig. I hope to find our voice in this space and I feel like this is closer to the things we want to share and discuss.. thanks for being here 💛
Truer words have never been spoken. As a middle-aged man stuck in the rut that is living an unfulfilled, routine life but is too paralyzed by fear to step out of his comfort zone, I find this inspirational.
It is inspirational. I, too, am middle-aged (well, if I live to over 100!), and I just wanted to say that fear can be conquered one tiny step at a time. Change doesn't have to big or all at once. It can start with a trip to a local park or conservation area, or with trying out meditation or "mindfulness " guided videos. It can start with a free class at a local library or a sketch book into which you draw plans. Record what you try; there will be some failures and some successes. Look back after a month. Add new things further from home...day trips, overnight stays...I am certain you will see progress. Allow yourself some grace. It takes time.
Wow Jona you nailed it. Robb, thank-you for watching and I hope you find a little something in this message. You deserve a meaningful life, whatever that means to you 💛
You see, it was never about Vanlife, it was living while being on a Van. "Home is where the heart is" by driving chasing your dream... You'll always be at the right place. Both of you are very talented. You are on the right path... And young!!! ¡¡PURA VIDA!!
"paralyzed by comfort", really sums up why so many of us don't follow our dreams and take a chance on a new life in unfamiliar territory. You captured the essence of the Vanwives - well done!
I totally respect Crystal and Jaz for building their dream from scratch. I would love to volunteer to help them with a project on my next trip to Newfoundland. They are two incredible gals!
That was beautiful Colin and Paige. It seems that Jazmyn and Crystal, without intent{well, maybe a little}, have given you some life lessons that will forever benefit you and make you go, "Hmmm". I've watched them since they first moved there and their ambition and drive are intoxicating. And there seems to be nothing that they won't overcome. We all need influential people in our lives and you are blessed to have them as friends. Don't forget that they, also, are blessed to have you. I'm 71 years old and you and Paige, Jazmyn and Crystal, and a few others, are kinda like my You Tube children. My daughter is my best friend and influences me daily, and that warms my heart. And people such as you, Paige, Jazmyn and Crystal also warm my heart. It's a blessing to know that there are still people of heart in this world and that they influence us so beautifully. No need to reply. Just know that what you say and do doesn't always fall on deaf ears or closed hearts.
This is such a thoughtful comment Mark. I can't thank-you enough for sharing these words with me today, I really feel them. You're exactly right, and we are so lucky to call them friends. They inspire me every day. I grateful for their relentless support in lifting me up as a creator and to share my voice. We are all better when supporting each other 💛
Our UA-cam children... I am 63 and my daughter is 25 finishing her masters from home. I follow a handful of young people on their journey and find a curious connection with their lives. Just now finding Colin and Paige through Jaz and Crystal who I have followed for a long time. Your comments meshed with my own thoughts!
I've been watching Van wives for a while and in one video you've shown me more about them than the whole time I've watched them and brought me to tears. Do not stop what you're doing. You have a talent, a perspective and a voice that will find a following. Great video.
Wow what a comment. I feel this deeply. Thank-you. They inspire me every day. Not only am I grateful for their friendship, but their relentless support in lifting me up as a creator and to share my voice. Thanks for spending your Sunday with us 💛
This was such a great look at the emotional side of Crystal and Jazmyn that's been long overdue. They're usually so pumped in their videos that this was a refreshing change bringing the hype down so we really get to know them on a much more personal basis. Would love to see more videos like this. Can't wait for more of your videos! You two are a great team!
Thank-you so much for being here with us! It was definitely important for us to show another side of them, a side we have gotten to know over these past few years as we've grown closer. I'm glad it resonates
Well told story. Of course I'm in tears, knowing I'm not living my life with intention, but out of fear of the unknown. I sit on UA-cam and watch others live the life I wish I was living. I honestly don't know where to begin. My circumstances are different - I'm older, I'm single and again, I'm scared. Thank you for the sharp slap - it was needed.
All our circumstances are different and don't think you need to overhaul your life. Is there something small you can start with? It's overwhelming when you look at a big mountain to climb, just focus on the first little step 💛
@@colinandpaige Seriously? I feel like it would be more do-able with a partner. Moral support with the same life goals = perfection! Everything feels more challenging alone. This is something I have to put out there into the world, tho.
No body wants to give you a slap, you can start at any time living with intention, Surrounded by nature, and Love, even if you are Single, even in the City, it doesn't have to look like someone elses life
I’m loving this different perspective on Jaz and Crystal! A) I never see them wear lipstick!! And B) I never see them cry. They work soooooo hard and are so badass - we never get to see them being vulnerable. Makes me love them even more to show that beyond their badassery, they are human, they are vulnerable, they are affected by the struggles, BUT Jaz and Chrystal … you are both such amazingly inspiring role models! Love you both and thank you Colin for showing us this side of The Vanwives! ps - this is my first time watching your channel. Great episode, great capture of their fullest authenticity!
Same here, visit this channel from theirs video. Great video Colin!!! You all are amazing human beings. I am catching life inspiration from all of You.
"20 years from now, you'll be more disappointed by the things you didn't do by the things you did. So, what are you waiting for?" This quote from Colin MacRae of Sailing Parlay Revival fits right into your story. It's that first step that hold people back. Congrats to you both on taking the first step and now you are gaining momentum for the future.
I’m a 73 year old man who is now retired. Y’all have come a long way as I started watching over a year ago. So many along with me enjoy watching your videos. Please continue.
This was beautiful! ❤ I’ve followed Crystal and Jazymn since before they found the land and cabin, but this glimpse into their daily life is a new one. They work so hard every day. Thank you for getting them to sit down ☺️ and share inner thoughts that they generally don’t have time for. I applaud you and Paige for embarking on your own journey both in your van and in your inner growth. Time goes by so, so quickly. As I am in my sunset years, I am glad I took ‘the road less traveled.’ Money comes and goes, but the quality of the life lived, and the memories created along that path, are the things one remembers and treasures. Good luck with your journey and have an amazing time along the way! 💗
Your filming, editing, and storytelling was superb! And of course, Vanwives , Jazmyn & Crystal are everyday super women with an abundance of fortitude in making their dreams a reality
Thank-you for the kind words! I hope one day to use these skills to make a difference.. Jaz and Crys, they inspire me every day. Not only am I grateful for their friendship, but their relentless support in lifting me up as a creator and to share my voice. Thanks for spending your Sunday with us 💛
Beautifully stated and thank you all for the inspiration. I’m almost 53 and finally getting ready to embark on the life I want this summer. Can’t wait to live intentionally, followed my dreams and passions. It’s never too late! 💚
It has taken me becoming disabled to finally start living my life fully with intention. I'm slowing down because I have to but now I'm taking the time to see the beauty in every day living by actually living it and not just simply existing. Thank you so much for making such a profound and thought provoking vlog. Like many others I found you through Vanwives but I'm so glad I did. Be present, challenge your comfort and live intentionally. Perfect.
What an inspiring and such a truthful, personal and soulful searching episode. I just loved your interviews with Crystal & Jazmyn. Well done...........
This couldn't have been said any better!! Its amazing how you guys realize the pressure society has put on everyone. Jaz and Crystal have, and continue to build, a self sustaining life, I applaud you both. For some, the leap of faith is just a dream and not a reality. Hats off to everyone who is able to live this way!
Awesome job doing this Jaz and crystal are amazing people I love their videos the way they work together and their determination their relationship is the truest. Awesome job capturing it
Thank-you so much Charles! We love them so much, they inspire us everyday to embrace an unconventional life and explore what it's means to be a video creator 💛
Having the perfect partner, who shares your vision, will embrace challenge and love you through all of it seems like key💕(but as a single person with dreams of an off grid life, I’m also grateful it’s not necessary !💛) these badass women inspire me to no end!! Thanks
Colin, this was so beautifully done! I love Jazmyn & Crystal so much and their beautiful fur babies. The conversation that you started resonates deeply with me. Thank you for sharing this incredible reminder to examine ourselves & the lives we are living….or the lives that are living us!
All I want to say is I'm 65 years old I live in Texas I have no regrets about my life the story you just told about these two ladies was unreal the way you told it the way you tied it in with your life and their life I love these two ladies because what they're trying to do with their lives they're not living in mom's or Dad's basement they are getting out and doing what we've all done and my generation I love the fact the way you tied it in you're beginning of Life trying to figure out what is to be in your life this is what we call life my life started at 16 years old I had a masters in my plumbing degree I worked all my life at that job but all the other jobs I did in the process of it what's important I love the most you have a good mind for telling a story and how to put that story together excellent editing job you done tying it all together I think you too had just begun a life they will bring you in a full circle and make you happy in the process thank you for doing such a great job and yes trying to do something new is the most curious thing in the world but the rewards is worth it you will fail you will get back up on your feet and you will feel again but remember the failing part is what makes you better in life so congratulations on doing a such a good job with the girls I love the way you told their story and such and a sharp amount of time I wish I had all the technology you kids today have remember this when I was 18 and 17 there was no such thing as a cell phone there's no such thing as a computer I watch this world do things not impossible but impossibility is only limited by the mind as Elon musk he's a crazy octapur he's not so much worried about the money is he is doing something crazy and I think that's what you two are headed best of luck thank you for my old man who went from LPS the floppy disk to the phone if it's in the palm of my hand to watching you guys keep up the good work God bless
Just saw this and wow how different it looks now at their cabin. They have water, electricity, indoor shower, every comfort. Very proud of vanwives. Im a devoted subscriber ❤❤❤
You did a great job with this video, Colin. You have already taken your first step. Never doubt your path. I never knew I would become disabled later in life. If I had followed my heart it would have been different. Societal norms serve the power elite who set them. Follow your heart. Go for it!❤❤❤❤❤
this is so awesome Colin, your calling is documentary making for sure. get out and enjoy the journey. Keep nurturing this channel and fingers crossed it helps you make the leap until the unknown
What a beautiful tribute to these amazing humans. I forget how absolutely HARD it is for them to do the simple things most take for granted. Go Jaz and Crystal. Good job Colin. Will be subscribing to you channel.
This was one of the most honest and heart felt videos I have ever watched. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You touched my soul. Keep doing what you do. Dave Evans 72 years old and still learning about people and life.
@@colinandpaige keep up the great work. Your tone as well as your honest incite did the van wives story an unbiased respect and tribute to what they go through. It’s my first story with you too. Looking forward to more.
Welcome back. I have missed you. Love the name change, it makes a lot more sense and the concept of this video was brilliant. You raised a question more people should be asking themselves. Congratulations on another great update. Looking forward to what’s to come.
Luv luv luv the girls, they remind me of my Aunties and their relationship (closet lesbians from the 1940’s) and how they built a business in the woods “Big Pines Resort” near Aitken, Minnesota. I was raised on a lake with 6 cabins, campground, a small general store n gas station, boats n canoes, large gardens full of berry eating black bears, skunks, raccoons, owls and foxes! I’m so impressed with your show and life! I’m inspired !
I have been watching Crystal and Jaz for a while now. I can't wait for their video's each week. But this video was amazing. To have your talent to capture your story and their story as well. You are such a good speaker of inspirational words. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing. Your comments hit home. Stagnation is not good and your last comments about where we actively create our lives. Thank you for this inspiration.
Thank-you. They inspire me every day. Not only am I grateful for their friendship, but their relentless support in lifting me up as a creator and to share my voice. Thanks for spending your Sunday with us 💛
I love the ladies of Vanwives sooooo much. Absolutely beautiful souls. Not gonna lie, this video got me a bit emotional. I've been following their journey every Sunday and to hear them talk about it makes me feel exponentially more proud of them and happy for them, and I didn't think that was possible because they already bring so much joy to my heart watching them thrive. Thank you 😊
They are really special humans. I'm so inspired by them. I'm grateful for their friendship, and their relentless encouragement in my journey and to share my voice. I'm so happy to show another angle of their story in the process. I'm also grateful for your kind words and spending the time with us today, I really mean it 💛
Colin your story telling, videography and editing is fantastic. I think you will make a lot of people really think with this video. Well done. Looking forward to where the future will take you and Paige😊
Love Crystal and Jaz, have been watching them and this project from the day the first bought the property. They have done amazing things out there and are just great people. The relationships they have created with everyone who comes out to the property like Porter, even down to the delivery guy who warned them about bears just goes to show how sincere they are. You can not be around them and not be happy, their journey has been a very rewarding thing to watch and provides hope to anyone who needs it...as the saying goes "If they can do it, anyone can!"
You're exactly right Jeff. They even encourage us with that message as video creators, to find our voice and share it with the world. Thanks for watching!
As a new subscriber to your channel ... and an old one with the Vanwives ... I really enjoyed this vlog, and specifically your approach to life. Success and happiness are choices, for most of us. You have a very charismatic approach to how you address all the problems we face in life. Well done and keep going! We need your voice!
Colin you are amazing storyteller. Please continue on your path. As a 71 year old women we finally embraced a life on the road and love it. Is it challenging yep but that’s the fun.
This is your time on the planet, make the most of it now, while you still can, from someone who's been around for 50+ years. Great storytelling, thanks for this behind-the-scenes glimpse of what life off-grid is really like... :)
I love the way that disembodied friendship circles can expand via UA-cam. I first came on Tyler and Todd over a year ago, was immediately captivated and then watched all their videos from the very first. Through them, I discovered Jazmyn and Crystal and did the same. They then introduced me to Max and Occy, then you and Paige, ditto. They and you two are now all part of my weekly viewing and I love sharing in your life journeys. The girls are amazing: who better to be inspired by? ❤
Beautiful video with stunning cinematography! Colin, you are a master storyteller. Very thought-provoking and emotional video. I've been a follower of the Vanwives for years and you captured their story beautifully! I look forward to watching you for years to come as you tell your own story and the stories of others that you meet in your travels. Peace and love as you carve out your niche through your videos. 💛
Takes me back to my childhood. My parents forced us to live off grid in Mexico with family once a year cuz they wanted us to appreciate which eventually progressed us to throughly living and enjoying off grid living. It hard but soo rewarding cuz the pace is different. Cultivates a different frame of mind. You guys have reached a different level of friendship. Cheers!
Great video Colin & Paige! Jaz & Crystal have become 2 of my favorite people on the planet and I'm a little jealous that y'all get to spend "real" physical time with them. Everything y'all said about how we've grown as a society to do "what we're supposed to do, instead of doing what truly makes us happy... even if we have to step out of our comfort zone to do it, is spot on! Thanks for sharing another little slice of your lives with us! Be well! 💛🕊
Really enjoyed this video. we love watching Jas & Crystal as their energy reminds us of our past & what we aim for again in future. We lived what we realise now to be an unconventional lifestyle in hindsight because we needed to keep ourselves alive & suicidal ideation was always around the corner. we were never fully able to go it alone though & navigate away from a societal style job due lack of confidence & self esteem all related to physical & mental health issues which we didn't know what they were until a few years ago when it all left us. part of us wishes we had had knowldege of youtube & utilising it over 2 decades ago but being realistic we didn't have confidence in self and didn't realise how capable and amazing we were until we watch people now on youtube doing what we had done but currently can't but also watch to catalyse our deep passions again giving us an aim to know that we can in future & won't b too old & can work around what we have woken up to with our physical and mental health as where there is a will there is a way. we've been making use of these last few years learning youtube how to do videos kinda and upload and edit so that moving forward we have stuff to work with. watching this video helps us with understanding ourselves and ways as we were never taught, don't even know words, express, word, understand ourselves etc. what you are doing saying in this video. we also navigate CPTSD & many personalities in one body daily & more & like we have been an inspiration to many just by being us this has inspired us to continue to realise how much we have to offer & continue to strengthen our self esteem & confidence as when the time comes, or has already been happening about to embark on a break for integration & reflection to come at it a new, we will embark on our new journey with in what ever way it takes form with youtube & hopeful fingers crossed find our way to financial self sufficiency and security doing what is aligned with our heart and can continue to inspire many others out there with physical & mental health issues that they too can do and it will heal them & for those suffering with symptons from early childhood truama there is a way to freedom! SO MUCH APPRECIATION & GRATITUDE! XXXX
Wow this is so thoughtful. Thank-you for sharing this. We wish you nothing but success on your journey, and more than anything, I hope you are proud of your growth over these years to get to this point. No doubt you will inspire others 💛
Wow what a powerful message! I am a faith Vanwives watcher and I love how vulnerable Crystal and Jasmine got. Very refreshing to see that side of these inspirational, incredible women!
This is great and meaningful. I think I will be back to watch again when I need a little fuel to keep going on my path. Thank you. It's also amazing to see Jaz and Crystal in this way. Best of luck to you guys x
Beautifully well done. I’m so thankful to know you and Paige and the VWs. I loved hearing all of your hearts about intentional living. So proud of you and the journey you’re on! And congrats on 10k 😍
That was a beautiful interview!!! I was inspired to just change my life a little by Tyler and Todd jazz and Crystal's friends to just plant a garden! And I did that just a small one for basically an experiment to see how much I could get out of it and some vegetables did better than others obviously but what I got out of it was beautiful in itself made me realize it was much more capable than when I thought. So next year I'm going to take it a step further and do intentional planting, the intentional designing of a garden. And I'm going to learn how to do canning so I have food to help my grocery bill throughout the winter. I have a suggestion for your next interview so to speak maybe this spring summer fall you could do interviews with people for urban gardening to show people what they can do within their city limits to intentionally live just a little bit more of a simpler life that way too I don't know it's just an idea but again beautiful interview!
Wow love that idea. Thanks for sharing your story. This small act is exactly what we are talking about, you're living proof of making small intentional changes 💛
@@colinandpaige thank you I have an autistic 5-year-old so I'm trying to live simpler for him trying to show him that he can do anything he wants to do as long as he has to drive to do it and I want to get him involved with the gardening next year too and hopes of helping his food problems he has food sensory disorders and I'm hoping that if he can help grow his own food and see where it comes from then maybe he would be more likely to eat better food than what he is now does that make sense?
I have so much respect for Vanwives. I love watching their videos. I love to see their progress and how they build everything, They are both an inspiration, and if I were 30 years younger, I might do what they're doing. They work so well together. And they smile a lot. Beautiful people
Colin, I believe you have found a gift and a need. You have a great voice, good presentation skills, and an amazing ability to edit and make videos. This is a good path for you to inspire all of us to live intentionally. These VANWIVES have been a great inspiration to me, even at 50 to build out my own van, and while I am unable to travel full time and work remote, it has given me the ability to reconnect with very important people in my life. This is absolutely invaluable. I was spending all of my money on a house that was too large for me and bills I didn’t need. I rarely left the house after work. The maintenance and upkeep were a lot for a single empty nester. I have almost completed my van and am very proud of my new found time, finances, and connections. Hope to see you down south in my neck of the woods at some point!
I'm so glad that we all had the chance to see and feel a little more of what it's like to have the will to be different and to face all what comes in ur way that really empowering and made us think about what we really want in life or whether it's the one we want or it's just because it's the safest way to live thank for this amazing video all love❤❤
And sometimes, what others are doing for adventure; for change; for something only they can know, others have it trust upon them in horrible fashion. When my mother passed away in 17', my wife and I, who had been taking care of her, suddenly found ourselves homeless. The house went into probate, to be sold to settle mom's medical debts and we were caught flat footed. And yes, that is my fault. We were lucky enough to have a 30 year old RV. So, I had a job, my wife lost hers do to her epilepsy progressing to the point she was considered a liability. It took a bit to transition her to disability, which she utterly hates after working for 20 years. It took nearly two years to fix our credit; to save money for that 10% down payment for a house, etc. Two years of parking wherever we could that was safe, several knocks on the door in the middle of the night telling us to leave, and a winter and a half, with weeks of sub zero cold. The RV's heater didn't work, nor did it's water heater. The plumbing froze up no matter how much chemical I put down it. That first winter we got by with a kerosine heater (which I do not recommend), and the next with a big Buddy. So, my wife Bren, my mom's old cat Squeaky, and a weird house plant that survives to this day did what we could; what we had too, to move forward. She has healthcare, I still do not. With rent nearly doubling in those years, buying a house was the cheaper path, so that is the one I set out on. Our old car did not have working windshield wipers and brakes that failed several times. The RV got like 5 mph, on good days, so I tried hard not to stray too far from work. My boss was gracious, allowing us to park and plug in at work, though I tried hard not to do this any more than I had too. On my days off, we'd find a campground (if any spots were open), the odd parking lot or 'end of the road spot' when not. The AC worked as long as we had 30amp, or the generator running. Spent $800 to have that over hauled and it lasted until we sold the RV. I will admit that I made many very poor choices over the years, and that we were not in as 'good shape' as most people seem to be by the time they hit 50. I woke up in many ways, became terrified in others. With mom gone, there was no safety net anymore. Success or failure was up to me to figure out. So, when I hear some talk about how 'RVing' and 'Van Life' is free, and wonderful, and inexpensive I bite my lip. That, of course, is always dependent on one's perspective. We all don't have awesome jobs; or jobs that allow us the luxury to work remotely, and not everyone can obtain such jobs. It's just how things work in America, not really. No drugs, no alcohol, nothing like that, just poor choices and a bit of apathy allowed to go too long. Sometimes the only exclamation is the very excuses one tells ones self. So, we paid for a storage locker to keep our stuff, what we couldn't stuff in the RV and car. $140/mo. Averaged about $300/mo for gas, plus insurance, etc. I paid my boss $100/mo on the side, because I didn't want to fee like a freeloader. Plus another $100-200/mo for campground sites when we could find them. We took showers at a local truck stop three times a week. $36/wk (they allowed us to share the shower). Figure $150/wk for food and sundries, so no, this is not a cheap life, not for everyone. And I was always worried; worried about the RV breaking down; worried about leaving the wife alone so much in that RV; worried about the odd places we over nighted at to save money. Worried that I'd never qualify for a house, let along get one. Once more, I struggled with getting out of my own way. But, one day, things changed. To my shock, we were approved for a home loan; and then we lucked into a house a few blocks away from where I work and very close to a convivence store (Brenda doesn't drive due to her epilepsy). A house that had advantages (and some disadvantages). No basement, no upstairs (both lessons learned from watching my parents age limit their access to most of their 4 bedroom farmhouse). A strip club for a neighbor, a union hall as well as a half dozen collapsing houses in the neighborhood. They call it unincorporated Des Moines, FYI. I learned lessons selling mom's house. Frist one not settling on the first Realtor that you find (my sisters choice). I found one who actually was showing dozens of houses, not just one. This guy told me, "10k or 10mil' we'll find you a house that works, just be patient). On his advice we passed on several houses that would have been grossly over priced or had 'hidden issues' that we hadn't noticed at first. (Like one being surrounded by a 4 mile flood plane - I wondered why it was the only house out there). He also directed me towards Collin's Credit Union, which gave us a 100% financing. I didn't know that was even possible. We'd struggled to get 10% saved, and is why it took us so long to do so. I kid you not. On the day we signed, they gave me a check for the money we'd used as a down payment, to pay for the inspector, etc. I was shocked. And my mortgage is about $650/mo. A house two doors down rents at 1k/mo. And it's smaller. This was late 18' and the housing market was beginning to become tight. We looked at four houses but they were sold before we could see them. This house, the one I sit in now, writing this, was...meant to be. That old Lumina, one Friday, as we were on our way to the bank to cash my check and get groceries, had a minor issue in front of the house. My wife says, "Do you see the for sale sign?" I didn't, because an old fridge blocked my view of it. So we walked around the house. Two bedrooms, small attached garage, a wooded lot on one side (between us and the strip club) and one behind us, and a half acre. It looked clean and it had character. I called the number on the sign. The realtor said that he'd just put the sign out that morning and that it wasn't listed yet. So I called our realtor, who called the seller. He called me back, wanted to know if we wanted to schedule a walk through. I told him, we already did one. Looked in through the windows. I want to try for it. I don't know about you, but my realtor stays in touch. Comes by every spring to check on us and to bring us a bottle of vanilla extract (a promotional thing of his). He jokes that he never closed on a house so fast. Within two hours we had put $300 dollars down on it. Earnest money he'd said. I was dubious and had intended to drop everything I had on it but he'd said just $300 would do. Then he sent me a list of inspectors, saying that I could choose one or find one of my own. I choose the first one on the list. That fella did the inspection for another $300 or so. Aside from a few concerns, he thought the place was solid. So, my realtor, he goes to the seller and requests firmly that these 'minor issues' should be addressed and by the Goddess the seller agreed. She spent nearly 8k, I was told later. Updated the wiring, did some pluming upgrades, and had the septic system brought up to code. We bought the place for 82k, and moved in the second to the last day of 18'. Married since 92' and this was our first house; a true home. I damn well intend to die here, too. Oh, I still worry... a lot, but about different things. We haven't missed a payment, and while there are some leans months, the bills get paid on time. The RV was sold during the pandemic, aside from starting it every month, and moving it back and forth in the yard, I had no intentions of ever staying in it again. I bought a newer van and sold the Lumina (after the brakes went out for the 4th time). We adopted two more cats; seem to have had two more of one neighbor's move in on their own. A year and a half ago the old lady across the street passed away and the colony of strays she'd been feeding have moved into the woods next to us, so we're feeding and looking after them. It seems the right thing to do, even though It's bloody expensive (at least to me). Not that you care, but we've managed to get 10 out of 13 of them to the ARL for their Trap-Neuter-Release program which is free, and last winter I turned three old trunks into heated cat houses for them. I also cut a deal with the owner of the strip club (which seems to have 2-3 shootings each spring - just the spring, mind) in which he pays Bren and I $100 to mow the properties he owns next door, including the club. The wife also manages to collect enough empty cans and bottles from several neighbors, a co-worker, and that union hall parking lot each month to add up to $50-75. Pays for part of her med prescriptions. So, no, I do not begrudge your lifestyles and applaud them. I just wanted go grouse, and to share I guess.
Just found your video through Van Wives! Thank You Van Wives!! You're right in examination your everyday life. For me it was like going in a repetitive circle, same thing 5 days a week, too tired & bored on weekends to get out, then it starts all over Monday Morning. This becomes a vicious cycle, a rut you dig deeper & deeper, until eventually it becomes your grave. Life is gone before you get anywhere & have accomplished nothing. Get out of the Rat Race & Live you Life while you are still Young! Go for it full throttle!
Thoughtful and inspiring. Jazz and Crystal are strong women. Some people pick comfort over challenge because that is all they want. I admire these ladies because they are making a life for themselves and a vacation spot for their families.
"We tend to stay where we are because it is safer to stay than it is to change. It is safer where it is familiar and known. Even if that familiar is not what we want." ~ Colin! This is so deep and powerful.
Awesome video, like a mini-documentary! :) I've loved watching Jazmyn and Crystal pull together this off-grid property. They've done so much in such a relatively short time. And it looks great! I'm partial, I suppose. We're not off-grid, but we do live out in the middle of the woods on a fledgling homestead in a cold climate very similar to theirs. We do have to use a lot of the same backups for power and heat, and the seasons are short. It's wonderful to watch them grow and learn!
This is a profound film. We need to be reminded that stepping out of our comfort zone will catapult us into a new reality. Personal growth is why we are here. We expand and transform, it’s what I teach to my clients. Beautiful, magical, meaningful and purposeful film. You rock!!!’I cried throughout your film listening to you speak, your purpose flows out of you, keep speaking the truth so that it resonates in people’s hearts ♥️
I didn’t think the Vanwives were living an uncomfortable life, as they are simply working hard to build a home where they can be safe in future from the kind of epidemic the world has just experienced. It’s scared loads of young people. They are inspirational. Last winter they took off to the Caribbean for a long holiday, but couldn’t wait to get back to their cabin in the woods, to work on the inside, and to finish off making themselves self-sufficient. Well done so far! Once it’s done, they’ll be able to take off anytime for more adventures as they please.
Your storytelling about Jazmin & Crystal journey of living totally off grid is fantastic, it's amazing what we take for granted, popping down to to supermarket to get weeks supply of food, waking up in warm house, hot showers, washing and drying your laundry, the list is endless. Been following these 2 amazing ladies for past 6mths and seeing what they have accomplished in ½Yr is phenomenal. Form where they started to now. Now that concrete is poured, one step closer to solar power once casing and panels up. Hi from uk
A lot of us in Denmark are not taking anything gor granted. We turn on the washing machine and dishwasher at 3 am because electricity is cheapest. Heat is only for a couple of hours at a time and public transport is cramped because cars are standing still. Water is not cheap either.
Colin and Paige- Your words throughout this video are so spot on. Being on "autopilot" and "checking all the boxes" truly isn't any way to live; take it from someone in her 60s who finally gave in. You, Paige, Crystal, and Jazmine are on the right path. Listen to your soul and do only what you love because life is way too short to keep being on "autopilot".
Damn, Colin, you can film. Holy moly, that was great. I mean, yes, you do that for a living, but for example the two-camera setup for the interview portions, the editing with parts of the interviews spoken over some b-roll, that was just beautifully done. An absolute pleasure to watch.
Thank-you so much theo, it's so appreciated you sharing these kind words.. I hope to use these skills to tell stories that matter, I'm not sure how we will get there yet, but I hope this is a step in the right direction 💛
Living off grid - wow -if someone had told me 10 years ago that I’d be living in the forest growing my own food -well some of it ;) cutting splitting my own wood -no running water, no electricity, no hot water -I would have said you were nuts - yet here I am -loving it ! It is challenging but totally worth it ! Wishing you well on your journey!
Beautiful video guys. Colin I watch Van Wives all the time and I was struck in the video quite a while ago, where you travelled in the Van with the ladies but took those amazingly fantastic beautiful photos of them. It stayed with me. You are so talented. You captured the beautiful essence of those two amazing ladies Crystal and Jazz. Thank you for not only sharing your thoughts but sharing your wonderful talent with us all. Good Luck to you both on your adventures, we'll be watching.
Thank-you so much for your kindness. I appreciate deeply you spending the time to write and encourage us on our path. Paige and I are excited to share more stories with you soon.
And still no flushing toilet 🚽 at the vanwives ! But indoor 🚿! Missing their videos and yours so I had to watch this one once again! Take care love you so much ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Came over to your channel from Vanwives. Loved your video and so glad you mentioned about the food you're putting in your body. For me, eating plant based means causing the least amount of harm, caring about our planet, and ALL creatures in it. As well as not contributing and eating violence is a huge one. Living with intention is the best way I'm trying to live as well. Great video! You earned a subscriber.
*Newly Updated Safety Suggestions; I just happened to see your channel, and others similar channels recently, and I think that you, and others sharing their actual reality, and some have expressed some of the up, and down sides to van, RV, or vehicle living. Although, I just noticed your UA-cam channel, and other similar channels, displaying van living. I just wanted to remind everyone to Aware Be of your surroundings and Alert, I just posted this anyway to help anyone who may benefit from these suggestions I believe that it is very helpful, and beneficial to others who may be thinking about this type of living without actually thinking through, about the some of the realistic problems that could occur with vehicle or van living etc... People need to know what up sides there are, as well as some of the down sides of vehicle living. I believe this channel, and other channels have been informative to others, including myself. Although, I am NOT living in a vehicle or anything like this. I feel that you , and others UA-camrs sharing this with your viewers will be very helpful. I wish you ALL the Best with your traveling endeavors. I shared this with several other travelers, as I watched their UA-cam channel for the first time, as yours, and I shared with them this information that may be helpful to you as well to others. Therefore, I would also like to suggest a few Safety tips, and items that may help you, or others in your viewing audience. Although, you may have knowledge of this already, I am not sure, so I hope this will be helpful to you, others or someone. *Keep a Extra working cellphone with you or in your vehicle. You can purchase inexpensive phone with a very low monthly price between 25, 35, 45, dollars a month with unlimited data and text, and some have Nationwide coverage Do your research for the best fit for you Carry Several Extra portable phone chargers, and cables. Consider theses items: *Mini portable power charging station. I have also seen outdoor portable solar powered power stations, that can be recharged from sunlight this may be very useful to have, to power your devices. *Invest in a Cellular signal booster for outdoor use, and camping situations to boost or amplify your cell signal and reception. Consider also the purchase of a WiFi signal booster to also boost your WiFi signal. Research to see what you prefer. *Very Inportant: Invest in a SOS distress electronic signal device, this a kind of device can send out a distress signal with your exact location. There are various types of these devices, and including devices that can be used when boating, or camping situations. *Some have emergency Strobe lights SOS signaling with location alerts, and location updates that can be sent to your family, and emergency first responders. Some can be synchronized with your smart watch or phone. There are some satellite SOS texting messaging, locator devices that will send messages with your phone even if there isn’t any cellular signal, or WiFi. With this device your can still text, and communicate with others in a emergency satellite transmission. Check online, for various emergency SOS products, some are small to fit in the palm of your hand. You can check online, and on Amazon, research what SOS devices will be a good fit for you. *Mini portable vehicle battery jumper charger *vehicle battery jumper cables *Vehicle Jumper cables *Keep a Fire extinguisher handy Smoke detectors and Carbon monoxide detectors can be helpful *Mounted Dashboard camera front and rear possibly. Exterior vehicle cameras Interior vehicle cameras *Flashlights or pluggin spotlights *Portable spotlights, and lanterns Keep a few whistles around with you, and in your vehicle possibly in your vehicle’s center console *A set of long range 2 way radios, walkie talkies, to communicate with others during trips, some have 100 mile radius keep for emergencies. Use your own discretion regarding the use of any weapons. Don’t forget to bring Bear Spray Pepper spray Where is allowed If you own a drone you can use it to survey your area for animals etc. However, Please Be Safe and Beware of your Surroundings. Stay Alert, and Be Safe even when stopping at Rest stops, Truck Stops, and conducting your various tasks. Keep in often contact with your family, friends etc. Keep up with the latest Weather Updates, beware and prepare for unexpected Weather events and conditions. Keep your vehicle gas filled Don’t chance your Safety by running your vehicle fuel or gas too close to Empty. Fill it up anyway, it will save you alot of time, and headache later on. Remember to keep up on routine maintenance, check your tires for wear, keep up with your fluids for your vehicle, like oil levels, washer fluid, brake fluid, antifreeze. Remember Because you are on the road riding for sometimes very long distances, and long periods of time, I would suggest investing in 2 sets of tires, and a spare, the extra set to rotate. Check the mileage ratings on your tires they all very. Conduct visual inspections of your tires often, check for damage, wearing, air pressure, etc Keep a pressure gauge to check your tires pressure and a tire pump. Keep towing insurance to Be Safe if you ever need it. It Doesn’t cost much try to get National coverage if available, or where you will be traveling. Keep Extra financing, and savings for any unexpected issues, vehicle repairs, and overnight stays, in a emergency or if you need to rest indoors. Collin showed and brought to the front the true difficulties that the Vanwives faced every day as they showed us what it really takes to build a homestead in the wilderness. A very well done Vlog Collin.
This is really special. You are a really talented filmmaker and story teller and captured my favorite creators/spirit animals/life goals ladies in the amazing way💙 just beautiful.
It's wonderful to see young people questioning their lives and opening to as much freedom and self-expression as possible. Sustaining this over decades of time will be the most instructive, and challenging.
A great video. Thanks for sharing this. Jaz and Chrystal have been bringing joy to this old grandpa for many months now. You really have a talent for doing this type of interview and sharing the story. I believe you have found your niche. I look forward to seeing your next one.
Colin, you're asking all the right questions, for sure! So young, yet so wise already! Colin, Paige, Jasmine & Crystal, this video hit home, like a marker on the road. Thank you all for the encouraging words about LIVING ones life, on better terms. Really, Thank you all.💞💞💞💞
"If we did it, every one can do it" We couldn't agree more! Living off grid is not easy but it's so freeing in the end!!! We did start 7 years ago and we are so happy that we walked through our fear! Good video your editing skills are impressive :)
@@colinandpaige Thank you so much! For us the biggest challenge was to film it and put it on UA-cam! So you can also be very proud of yourselves, and you do it brilliantly!
I absolutely love this video! As an entrepreneur that lives off-grid I definitely resonate with so much of this video! Life begins at the end of your comfort zone. Always go after what's inspiring you the most!
Colin, Paige I will look for more of your shows in the van as those are the best and what I like and would love to do if younger , so I can live it with you and the Tals and Mads in their van once again. I will sill watch van wife’s but they are in a home and fun to see their progress…. Thanks Paige and Colin.
Nice work. Very well put together. And the message resonates. I came over to watch after watching Vanwives today. I've been following them since they were on the road when the lockdown started. Crystal and Jaz are great. Doing things on their terms and as a team. This was a nice behind the scenes update. Keep doing what you're doing.
My favorite video yet…. I love following Crystal n Jaz and their no holds bar approach to their lives!! AND on your journey to create meaningful content… you nailed! I also really enjoy watching how you are evolving! ❤😊
Wow thank-you Lynne! I've been emotional today because it feels like this is the closest I've been to creating something I always invisioned I'd create. I hope to learn into more conversations about things like this 💛
Amazing videos you two. I’ve been in the process for one year of making those changes to my life. It’s been difficult and slower than I expected but am so glad I’m doing it. Keep up the great work you are doing in changing yours.
Thank-you Troy. Ive been making shifts for like 7 years.. it took me this long to start a UA-cam channel, even though I know that's what I wanted the whole time. Give yourself grace and time, we will both get there 💛
We love you Colin & Paige 💛 more of this please! You’re more than a filmmaker. We admire your quest & your curiosities.
Love you
Happy Birthday Jazmyn and Crystal great video's always 😉☕🎉🎂🌹 love you girls kiss and greetings from the Netherlands Chiel 💖😘😘😘

Kudos!!!
@@Whistler326 It's true. We couldnt have done this without the amazing support of Jaz and Crystal. Grateful for their friendship!
Wow, thank-you for sharing Lila. Wishing you all the best on your adventures - maybe we will cross paths on our travels.
You are so INSPIRING Lila
And just look where you are today, in just 1 year. What an Amazing Accomplishment in such a short time @Vanwives
Colin just demonstrated his mastery of storytelling. This video will have legs on the internet worldwide I'm sure. Congrats to all.

You deserve a meaningful life, whatever that means to you 💛
@@jonap5740 Thank you for this Jona.
u can do it! *less what ifs, more "oh wells"*
You see, it was never about Vanlife, it was living while being on a Van. "Home is where the heart is" by driving chasing your dream... You'll always be at the right place. Both of you are very talented. You are on the right path... And young!!! ¡¡PURA VIDA!!
You're right about that. Thank-you so much for being here 💛
"paralyzed by comfort", really sums up why so many of us don't follow our dreams and take a chance on a new life in unfamiliar territory. You captured the essence of the Vanwives - well done!
Thank-you Terry 💛 it's a line that punched me right in the gut
I totally respect Crystal and Jaz for building their dream from scratch. I would love to volunteer to help them with a project on my next trip to Newfoundland. They are two incredible gals!
They inspire us every day to live a life that is authentic to ourselves. Grateful for their friendship
I live in Washington State and I would come up to help with a project!
I believe they are in Nova-Scotia.
They are in Nova Scotia.
@@Rhaorth yes, I meant stopping in NS on my annual trip to Newfoundland. Sorry for the confusion
We are all better when supporting each other 💛
Exactly..perfectly said👍
Our UA-cam children... I am 63 and my daughter is 25 finishing her masters from home. I follow a handful of young people on their journey and find a curious connection with their lives. Just now finding Colin and Paige through Jaz and Crystal who I have followed for a long time. Your comments meshed with my own thoughts!

Bring the toilet seat in. Put faux fur liners on the seat and the lid.
@@colinandpaige yes...and I'm working on baby steps. 💚

Thank you.
Thank you so much Heather!
Thank you for sharing. Your comments hit home. Stagnation is not good and your last comments about where we actively create our lives. Thank you for this inspiration.
Thank-you for join us
Life may be hard at times but I think these girls are living their best lives I love them they are so happy ❤
Thank-you so much Sara. We appreciate you being here 💛☺️
Love Crystal and Jaz, have been watching them and this project from the day the first bought the property.
Wow thank-you James 💛 I appreciate your kind words, it means a lot. Especially when we are trying to find our voice!
Colin you are amazing storyteller. Please continue on your path. As a 71 year old women we finally embraced a life on the road and love it. Is it challenging yep but that’s the fun.
Thank-you so much for watching 💛
This is your time on the planet, make the most of it now, while you still can, from someone who's been around for 50+ years. Great storytelling, thanks for this behind-the-scenes glimpse of what life off-grid is really like... :)
Well said! Thanks for being here!
Thanks for being here! Who inspires me as a creator?!
@@colinandpaige All of the above + Stepsof2Foreigners, Matt and Blue, Josh Carr??
Beautiful video with stunning cinematography! Colin, you are a master storyteller. Very thought-provoking and emotional video. I've been a follower of the Vanwives for years and you captured their story beautifully! I look forward to watching you for years to come as you tell your own story and the stories of others that you meet in your travels. Peace and love as you carve out your niche through your videos. 💛
Thank-you for being here with us, your words are so kind and we appreciate you taking the time to share with us 💛
Takes me back to my childhood. Cheers!
Oh wow. It sounds like you gained some great perspective from those experiences. Wishing you the best 😌
Be well! 💛🕊
Thank-you so much. They are also my favorite 🙂
THANK YOU 4 ur words & taking time to read & reply!
TRULY APPRECIATED!
🙏💚🙏
Wow what a powerful message! I am a faith Vanwives watcher and I love how vulnerable Crystal and Jasmine got. Very refreshing to see that side of these inspirational, incredible women!
They are incredibly thoughtful and quality human beings. I wanted to show that side of them 💛
This is great and meaningful. I think I will be back to watch again when I need a little fuel to keep going on my path. Thank you. It's also amazing to see Jaz and Crystal in this way. Best of luck to you guys x
Thank-you so Lila 💛
Beautifully well done. I’m so thankful to know you and Paige and the VWs. I loved hearing all of your hearts about intentional living. So proud of you and the journey you’re on! And congrats on 10k 😍
Thank-you B 💛
@@craftmom5302 yes makes total sense. Connection where it all comes from 💛
@@colinandpaige I hope that one day you 2 can come to Iowa and interview me 🙃😃
Your video makes one reflective about their past, present and future. Great video sir, intention well done!
Colin got us all crying! #vanwifes are such an inspiration. 💕
They really are! Grateful for their friendship 😊
I have so much respect for Vanwives. I love watching their videos. I love to see their progress and how they build everything, They are both an inspiration, and if I were 30 years younger, I might do what they're doing. They work so well together. And they smile a lot. Beautiful people
It's never too late. I went from the big city to offgrid at 55. Life is not done until it's done. In the meantime, live it up!
Wow Shadie, that's amazing. I hope you are proud of yourself. Thank-you so much for your kind words 💛
The creative thought behind the storyline is thru the roof...and I'm only 1/4 way thru. Your drone footage is amazing.
Thanks Craig! Let me know your thoughts at the end! 💛
I'm so glad that we all had the chance to see and feel a little more of what it's like to have the will to be different and to face all what comes in ur way that really empowering and made us think about what we really want in life or whether it's the one we want or it's just because it's the safest way to live thank for this amazing video all love❤❤
Thank-you for watching. Wishing you the best
wow, what a beautiful glimpse in to their lives.. this is a masterpiece of storytelling with HEART well done
Awhhhh wow thank-you so much, that's so kind 💛 thanks for spending time with us!
Been watching Vanwives for quite some time now....and it's nice to see you honor their way of life...well done!
Thanks so much!
Love this. Thank-you for sharing and being here with us
A wonderfully reflective video - thank you. 🙏 I love watching Jazmyn & Crystal - totally inspiring, they make me want to do better. 🐾💙🐾
They inspire me every day 💛
Thoughtful and inspiring. Jazz and Crystal are strong women. Some people pick comfort over challenge because that is all they want. I admire these ladies because they are making a life for themselves and a vacation spot for their families.
Thanks for watching!
You guys did a great job on this video!! Can't wait to see more! Been watching the Jazzy & Crystal since the beginning.
Thank-you so much!
"We tend to stay where we are because it is safer to stay than it is to change. It is safer where it is familiar and known. Even if that familiar is not what we want." ~ Colin! This is so deep and powerful.
Great job Colin. Your experience shows through. Nailed it. Congratulations!
Thank-you so much for your kind words 💛
Awesome video, like a mini-documentary! :) I've loved watching Jazmyn and Crystal pull together this off-grid property. They've done so much in such a relatively short time. And it looks great! I'm partial, I suppose. We're not off-grid, but we do live out in the middle of the woods on a fledgling homestead in a cold climate very similar to theirs. We do have to use a lot of the same backups for power and heat, and the seasons are short. It's wonderful to watch them grow and learn!
Thanks for being here!
Oh wow. This comment hit me hard. Thank-you so much for your kind words 💛
Thanks so much for watching 💛
great video and interviews, I have been following these young ladies for a couple years now I think. They are truly amazing.
They are amazing people and an inspiration to us all!
Hi from uk
Thanks so much for watching. I love them too, such an inspiration! Appreciate the kind words about the filmmaking 💛
A lot of us in Denmark are not taking anything gor granted. We turn on the washing machine and dishwasher at 3 am because electricity is cheapest. Heat is only for a couple of hours at a time and public transport is cramped because cars are standing still. Water is not cheap either.
Oh wow. I'd love to learn more about this
This was so beautiful. Thank you Colin and Paige for sharing this.
Thank-you for spending time with us 💛
Colin and Paige- Your words throughout this video are so spot on. Being on "autopilot" and "checking all the boxes" truly isn't any way to live; take it from someone in her 60s who finally gave in. You, Paige, Crystal, and Jazmine are on the right path. Listen to your soul and do only what you love because life is way too short to keep being on "autopilot".
Thank-you much 💛
the choreographed teeth brushing! 😂The message was pure and authentic, what a blessing you all are! Live and love! 😘
Thank-you so much brenda
Wow! What a beautiful gift to Jazmyn and Crystal, and all of us. Thanks. Cheers!
Justin, this is exactly what I was hoping for.. I'm so glad it was received that way 💛
Damn, Colin, you can film.
It's wild the way life works eh? Thanks for watching! Appreciate you!
Thanks Collin.
You made me cry but happy. You've made a great tribute to jaz and crystal, their amazing journey in the woods❤

Thank-you! I'll be back soon 🙂
Thank-you so much for being here and sharing what it all means to you 💛
Excellent video!! Vanwives rock and the perspective you've given us today showed them in a totally different light. Great storytelling Colin!!!💗

*Newly Updated Safety Suggestions;
I just happened to see your channel, and others similar channels recently, and I think that you, and others sharing their actual reality, and some have expressed some of the up, and down sides to van, RV, or vehicle living.
Although, I just noticed your UA-cam channel, and other similar channels, displaying van living.
I just wanted to remind everyone to Aware Be of your surroundings and Alert, I just posted this anyway to help anyone who may benefit from these suggestions
I believe that it is very helpful, and beneficial to others who may be thinking about this type of living without actually thinking through, about the some of the realistic problems that could occur with vehicle or van living etc...
Although, you may have knowledge of this already,
I am not sure, so I hope this will be helpful to you, others or someone.
*Keep a Extra working cellphone with you or in your vehicle.
You can purchase inexpensive phone with a very low monthly price between 25, 35, 45, dollars a month with unlimited data and text, and some have Nationwide coverage
Do your research for the best fit for you
Carry Several Extra portable phone chargers, and cables.
Consider theses items:
*Mini portable power charging station.
*Very Inportant:
Invest in a SOS distress electronic signal device, this a kind of device can send out a distress signal with your exact location.
*Mini portable vehicle battery jumper charger
*vehicle battery jumper cables
*Vehicle Jumper cables
*Keep a Fire extinguisher handy
Smoke detectors and Carbon monoxide detectors can be helpful
*Mounted Dashboard camera front and rear possibly.
Exterior vehicle cameras
Interior vehicle cameras
*Flashlights or pluggin spotlights

Thankyou for sharing!
Awesome story-telling Colin and Paige. We really enjoyed this video. We look forward to following your journey.
Collin showed and brought to the front the true difficulties that the Vanwives faced every day as they showed us what it really takes to build a homestead in the wilderness. A very well done Vlog Collin.
Thank-you so much for watching 😊
This is really special. You are a really talented filmmaker and story teller and captured my favorite creators/spirit animals/life goals ladies in the amazing way💙 just beautiful.
Thanks for spending time with us April ☺️
It's wonderful to see young people questioning their lives and opening to as much freedom and self-expression as possible. Sustaining this over decades of time will be the most instructive, and challenging.
Thank you, that's very kind. We appreciate you watching and sharing! 💛
A great video. Thanks for sharing this. Jaz and Chrystal have been bringing joy to this old grandpa for many months now. You really have a talent for doing this type of interview and sharing the story. I believe you have found your niche. I look forward to seeing your next one.
Thank-you Charlie, that really means a lot 😊💛
Colin, you're asking all the right questions, for sure! So young, yet so wise already! Colin, Paige, Jasmine & Crystal, this video hit home, like a marker on the road. Thank you all for the encouraging words about LIVING ones life, on better terms. Really, Thank you all.💞💞💞💞

"If we did it, every one can do it" We couldn't agree more! Living off grid is not easy but it's so freeing in the end!!!
We did start 7 years ago and we are so happy that we walked through our fear! Good video your editing skills are impressive :)
Wow that is amazing! Hope you are proud of yourselves!!
Yes exactly ☺️
Colin, Paige I will look for more of your shows in the van as those are the best and what I like and would love to do if younger , so I can live it with you and the Tals and Mads in their van once again.
I will sill watch van wife’s but they are in a home and fun to see their progress…. Thanks Paige and Colin.
Thank-you for watching 💛 we will be on the road with tal and mads one day soon!
"discomfort is the price of admission to a meaningful life" and the @Vanwives exude this! I love watching their weekly videos
Love that line so much. Thanks for watching! ☺
Nice work. Very well put together. And the message resonates. I came over to watch after watching Vanwives today. I've been following them since they were on the road when the lockdown started. Crystal and Jaz are great. Doing things on their terms and as a team. This was a nice behind the scenes update. Keep doing what you're doing.
Thank-you Carlos!!
Thoughtful, caring, and honest … revealing the best of yourselves and friends 🙏
Thank-you 💛
My favorite video yet….
