Browning citori 725 is my gun over 8000 rounds since last Aug 2022. No failures and averaging 75% at sporting with it and improving. Love it will be legacy gun for grandsons.
I bought my all around hunting over under from Browning. I chose the 725 Feather 12 gauge over under with 26 inch barrels. Weighs about 6 pounds and 8 ounces and I use Trulock blackened stainless steel extended ported improved cylinder and improved modified chokes. Can carry all day in the upland fields and is short overall to shoot waterfowl from a blind or layout blind. Mine was $2580 two years ago. Now over $3000 if you can find one.
Have you ever considered doing some higher grade manufacturers like Krieghoff, Blaser, Kolar and higher grade Beretta like DT11 in sporting configurations? Or an informational comparison from budget to mid level and premium sporting guns?
I went with the CZ USA Sharptail in 20ga. I really enjoy shooting this shotgun in the hunting fields and the skeet fields. The Weatherby Orion SxS is on my list as well. I've really gotten into side-by-sides.
I want a CZ Sharptail also. I’ve never had a SxS. Never even shot one. But when I shoulder one it points so good. I’d actually like an Upland Gun Company Venus model SxS. Gorgeous. Customizable. The company is located in Minnesota and contracts with a Spanish firm. But I can’t justify the cost. Minimum $4,500 and can go all the way to $10,000. The “base” $4,500 is all I want. It’s sweet. And light.
Nice I think im going same boat. ever wish you went 30in barrel? i cant decide. Want it to hunt with also but more for clays. Between that or a franchi
@shervinghannadian9651 I bought my 686 last summer and it's now going back to dealer. Big problems with ejektors. They send it back to Italy for repair, but it came back with same faults. I got another beretta for a loan while mine was in repair. It had the same issue. Also two of my buddies are having this problem with they Berettas. First and last Beretta for me.
Might want to add Side by Side category in 2024 seem to be more in the market & making a comeback. Last night I saw the new Weatherby SXS side by side in 20ga & 12ga. It has a dip down center rib, then rises back up at the front bead, different. Everything except the wood finish was beautiful, hopefully they will get the finish ironed out & up to their quality standards very soon.
Im a collector of shotguns and have accumulated about 16k worth. My favorite over under so far is the Browning cynergy composite. Shoots smooth with 32 inch barrels and i dont care if it gets scratched or dirty. And my favorite semi auto is beretta a400 sporting with 30 inch barrel. So smooth I don’t even feel it shoot.
I have a cynergy composite too. Also a a400xcel. Both good. The back half of the plastic stock on the cynergy is separating from the metal housing. Any tips how to tighten?
I hunt waterfowl with the Cynergy Wicked Wing. I love it. The adjustable comb is huge for me. Will shoot it as much as possible, but O/U can be awkward to reload at times in certain blinds. I've been pestering Browning on Insta to come out with this gun in a 20 gauge bec the newer non-toxic loads can be so lethal in sub-gauges.
I have been looking at the Savage double barrel. It comes in side by side. Over and under. Two sets of barrels. Ejectors or extractors. And, I think the barrels are tooled for chokes. Around $900 dollars..
I bought myself a browning cynergy wicked wing for an all around over under. Had it out waterfowl hunting and I may have to retire my beretta a400. It shoots so well and has a great feel.
Just starting watching your channel, Great videos and information, you have great energy. Just getting into clay shooting your information has helped a great deal.
Steve, Love all the great videos over the past couple of years. Great, honest info mixed with a little humor. I would sure love to see the CZ Redhead Premier-ALL TERRAIN- this next next year. Maybe not quite a Cynergy WkdWing, but at the price point. WINNER !!
I’m a big fan of the CZ line as Huglu in Turkey makes most of their stuff and I have an over under from them that is fantastic and like you said craftsmanship at a real bargain. They’ve been making them for a long time and they make some very fancy stuff.
Thinking of going back to an over and under from my Benelli semi auto . I have had several semi autos but none have I shot as well as my grandpas 1960s imported over under
With so few local options it may take me a while to find the couple on this list I really want to get ahold of. My all around o/u is my Browning Citori Lighting. I picked it up as a waterfowling gun and I find myself using it for everything.
Need to review Perazzi high tech. Need to review fabarm elos N2 Allsport. Need to review Webley & Scott pro comp. I don't agree with the Browning pick. It's very pedestrian and swings like a brick as do most Browning shotguns.
Just started my shotgun collection have semi auto pump and single shot but my favorite has to be my first over under it’s just a Stoeger condor but I fell in love with it and know I’m after over under shotguns
Favorite video of the year! Thanks for the awesome content. Bummed I never saw a review of that Cynergy composite trap gun that you had at the beginning of the year!
I read this comment and thought, what are you talking about, we reviewed the Cynergy Unsingle Combo, but then I went and looked and you are correct. The video was filmed but hasn’t been released yet 😬
Another vote for the Browning 725. I have a 20g Field 28” & a 12g Sporting 30” & they’ve both been spectacular. Shoulders like a dream and spectacular triggers.
your videos are amazing! would you review a TriStar TT-15? I've been looking at them and would like to find a reliable review before committing to one.
Huglu TRP and Huglu HT 14 are very interesting over under trap shotguns for me. All CZ shotguns are made in Huglu, so don't underestimate it because it's Turkish shotgun
Beretta used to make a 686 with a 3.5 inch chamber. I own it and have used it for trap, clays and water fowl. Great gun. If they still make it, you should review it.
THANK YOU for including the Sharptail. Love my side by sides and love my sharptail. Classic looks and feel. Averaging low 80’s as my sporting clays gun. It is my go to.
I bought a cz redhead all terrain this year as my all around shotgun. So far I have taken a turkey with it, and I plan on taking it dove and duck hunting. I have shot some skeet with it and even though I am years out of practice I shot some really good rounds with it. I am really impressed with it so far
I recently got into clay shooting-skeet trap and sporting clays. I do it with a Mossberg 500 pump shotgun! Gotta be fast on those true pairs. I have been eyeing a Browning 725 down at BassPro for an upgrade, but it doesn't have the adjustable comb, and the guys I shoot with say I should get one with this option. So what are your thoughts on this. Should I hold out for one with the adjustable comb?
Just added the 725 sporting to my collection this fall. Reason I bought it is I wanted an O/U and when I shouldered it it fit perfectly. Getting used to it after only using a semi auto has been challenging.
The Cynergy Wicked Wing is awesome! It’s heavy that’s true, but the durability and accuracy plus adjustability make it awesome. I’ve quail hunted shot clays and ducks and geese. It’s great! Plus it always is the talk of the hunt it’s so unique.
At what pricepoint can one be reasonably assured the barrels are well regulated? I've shot some cheaper OUs that were off from top to bottom to cause concern.
i shoot a cz all american trap combo, im sctp so i shoot skeet, trap, sporting, extended, doubles, everything i can. the only problem i’ve had was the stock has cracked a few times by the trigger. But i mean i shot 5,000 rounds in 2 months. so yea. but other than that. zero complaints. highly recommend
I have a spandau target. With an adjustable cheek piece. I love it. After balancing, it's 9.4 lbs. Shoots like a dream. They have a color cased version.its the Supreme target. I'd like to see you review. I did ad an adjustable but piece on mine because the way my shoulder is shaped I kept wanting to cant the gun. And I think it was throwing off my poi. Now, I score 25 to 30 more clays per round than before.
I love your videos and I learn a lot from them. I wonder if you would ever consider doing a series of videos or an occasional video on old shotguns you picked up on the used gun rack at your local stores? I love old guns - my favorite pheasant hunting gun is an Ithaca 37 Featherweight 16 gauge made in 1954 that I bought 25 years ago for the princely sum of $150. I would love to see what someone of your knowledge and expertise makes of an old Remington 1100 or 11-48, a Winchester Model 12, a Browning Auto 5, Ithaca 37, etc.
Personally my favorite for waterfowl is the stoeger condor in 20 gauge. I’m sure these other guns are great but o would never take one that pricey out in the marshes or on the open water. Fields for geese is another thing however. I have good guns like custom built ones but when it comes to hunting most of my guns are under $700. A video on the best at certain price points would be nice.
Really appreciate your channel since I found it. I think I’m going to buy a CZ Sharptail SxS next year due to your reviews. Always wanted to give a SxS a go. Shoutout to my Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon I bought years ago. Glad I picked a good one. Did little research back then but it just appealed to me at a big gun store compared to the competition and price point. Re: Auto safety. No problem for me as this is the only double I’ve ever used. But I totally get it if it’s not an instinctual move for a guy like you who shoots so many shotguns.
I have my grandads browning superposed u/o from 1974 that ive restored and currently attempting to restore his 2 original Auto 5s and hopefully theyll be my first semi autos since im 15 and saving up on allowance to buy a new shotgun
Hey man I’m that waterfowler that uses an over and under. In fact I have the wicked wing with a 28” barrel. I must say there’s a few cons when using it vs an autoloader but I still prefer it. It’s a great gun but I’m not a fan of its ergonomics either. I much prefer my citori but that’s my deer hunting gun. Unfortunately Browning discontinued the citori’s in camo or I would have purchased that instead. I also switch up to my CZ Redhead Premier Target 20ga with a 30” barrel which is my go to wing shooting gun. Thanks for the vid.
I hunt waterfowl with my Fausti BC100 which I got from BP a while ago. I do pretty well! Really was looking at that Synergy in camp but I already had a terrible experience with the browning DuraTouch coating so I passed on that!
For waterfowl shotguns I’d love to see a review of the CZ Swamp Magnum. Also Tristar has the Hunter Mag and the Cypher that both I think would be great all purpose or hunting guns, if the quality is there. All 3 are also fairly inexpensive by O/U standards.
Putting this out there for waterfowl since you only knew of the wicked wing CZ swamp magnum camp is another over under that shoots 3.5” shells and is meant for ducks, haven’t shot one so can’t vouch for it but I do live my ultra light by them
How’s the recoil being the gun is so light? What shells are you shooting with it for pheasant? I usually shoot 1 1/2 ounce bismuth for ducks . Was wanting to get a gun like yours, but thought because of the gun being so light the recoil will be a lot heavier and not able to tolerate it.
It’s big money but you should look at the browning citori trap max gold. About $6,500 but I know the other citoris are great guns. I’d like to see a review on their top model with full adjustability rib comb and recoil pad
Please please please review the Orion sxs. It’s right in my price range and I know they’re different but I’m either going to buy that or the beretta ultima a300. Please review!!
I have a cynergy wicked wing and so far I’ve killed cranes, ducks, dove, turkey, quail and a ton of clays with it and it’s awesome.the gun is 3 years old, gets shot extensively year round and I have zero problems with it. I live on the Texas coast and hunt ducks in the bay. Zero corrosion issues.
The Wingmaster is a GREAT pump. You can’t go wrong with it. Waterfowl, pheasants, doves, clay birds... It points great. Also fail proof. Super easy to strip and clean. Don’t feel bad you can’t afford an O/U. I was in your same boat. But after I got the kids through school, paid off the ex-wife I finally bought an O/U. The Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon he chose here. Great gun. Pretty gun. I was thrilled. The Wingmaster gathered dust. I was hunting pheasant, grouse, dove 95 % of the time. But after a few years I missed the pump. I loved that pump. I got the Wingmaster out and shouldered. Damn it points good I said. Now I mostly hunt with it again lol. I just love it. And having a 3rd shell comes in handy sometimes. Initially because I used the O/U 5 days a week in fall for years I lost the damn instinct to rack back the Wingmaster after my first shot to load the next round. It was maddening lol. I’d be pulling the trigger, followed by “damn”. Once I got that back I was good to go. Ha.
Check out the CZ teal models. Can be had for under $700 on sale. Great all around O/U that is at home in the field or sporting clays range. I’ve got a few thousand rounds through mine, trouble free!
They can be had but do some research. My Wingmaster is a 12, wanted a 20 O/U. I’m very pleased with the TR Imports Light Super. Not pleased at all with my Yildiz Legacy HP-POI is WAY off.
Hello Steve, I watch your videos from France, I'm french and I have a question : When people hunts ducks, pheasants and other birds in the USA do they cook and eat them or is it only for fun? I'm asking you this question because in France they cook them so I was wondering if they would do the same in the US since both cultures are different.
The auto safety on the Beretta 686 is highly annoying. It's also easily disabled. Pull the trigger assembly and remove the rod link that operates it. The only hard part is defeating Beretta's method of getting the trigger plate screw mega tight at the factory.
On the competition side you should look at Ceasar Guerini's offerings as well as Zoli. In my opinion some of the best shooting guns out there. I shoot a Zoli Z sport and couldnt be happier. They are a little bit pricey, but would love to see you make a video about them!
Thank you for the suggestions. Just filmed a review last week for the Caesar Guerini Summit and spoiler alert, I really like it! The challenge with the more expensive shotguns is that we need the manufacture to send them to us to test out and for some strange reason, getting some companies to do that is a real challenge. 👊 Stay Target 🎯Focused (Hebrews 12:1-3)
@@TargetFocusedLife exactly. Some of these brands I cannot find a dealer to even handle or demo to check out fit. A lot of $$$ for something you may not shoot well. That being said, I’m pretty sure I’d make a CG Invictus fit!!!
@dukebeach1 I got to demo a lot of guns at the National Sporting clays championship in San Antonio. A ton of dealers there that all have demos. As well as Briley has helped me out obtain demo guns and overall helped me find the correct gun for me. If you're ever in the Houston area, give Rhea a call at Briley, she is amazing!
I'm going to have to defer to your knowledge on this one, as I have not shot 3/4 of the guns listed! I have a 725 pro sporting and it is great. Two things that need done fur it to be great is. Always let all the way up the trigger for the second shot. Clean the firing pins every season.but I do shot between 10,000 and 15,000 shells a year. Also bought a "new" old stock Remington premier 28 gauge. I have to say it's one of my most favorite. Feels good to hit clays out farther than most with 3/4 oz. Took it pheasant hunting in south Dakota this year and it handled nicely. Keep up the great job!
I almost got one of the Fabarm br 110’s but i was having a hard time finding chokes to buy for it and i like to run 2 lm chokes for sporting clays. Has any aftermarket companies started making chokes for it? So i got the browning sporting instead. Also have you shot the mossberg 940 pro field yet? I got one with 28 inch barrel and it does pretty good. Its got all the cool stuff the 940 jm pro has but with a longer barrel for only $800
@targetfocusedlife The Cynergy Wicked Wing doesn't have an adjustable comb. However, the Cynergy Classic Trap does. Also, are you going to review the Beretta 694 at all?
Browning citori 725 is my gun over 8000 rounds since last Aug 2022. No failures and averaging 75% at sporting with it and improving. Love it will be legacy gun for grandsons.
They’ll be fighting over it 😂
I bought my all around hunting over under from Browning.
I have the exact same with 28-inch barrels. Nice upland weapon!
@@dennisvandergriff7757 I have the same bought it maybe 8 years ago around $ 2000 then.
Would love to see a cz o/u review.
I was getting worried you weren’t going to mention the Browning 725. Definitely the best all purpose over under shotgun in my opinion.
Love my 725 Field.
All US made shotguns are shit 👎
Have you ever considered doing some higher grade manufacturers like Krieghoff, Blaser, Kolar and higher grade Beretta like DT11 in sporting configurations? Or an informational comparison from budget to mid level and premium sporting guns?
I bet if you donate $30K to his Patreon, he’d love to test out one of those Krieghoff gold model K-20’s and get back to you on that.
I looked at those as well. Way outside of my budget for a field gun 🙂@@mrsmartypants_1
I'll have my custom Upland Gun Company SxS at some point next year and I can't wait to review it!
@@TargetFocusedLife Oh nice! I look forward to watching it next year.
I am new to clay shooting, starting little late. I am 68. Going to get the Weatherby sxs soon
I went with the beretta 686 28” hunter and removed the auto safety. I’m new to sports clays and so far it has been awesome. Love it.
Nice I think im going same boat. ever wish you went 30in barrel? i cant decide. Want it to hunt with also but more for clays. Between that or a franchi
@@shervinghannadian9651
go 30" if you can. I'd suggest the 686 over the franchi.
thx for getting back to me, I think may go that route I really cant decide. if 686 may go the sporting without the auto safety@@0toeknee0
@shervinghannadian9651 I bought my 686 last summer and it's now going back to dealer. Big problems with ejektors. They send it back to Italy for repair, but it came back with same faults. You know you have the field model of the 686 which has the auto safety
The sporting model has a manual safety
Please review the sporting model
Do you think the sporting model of the 686 could be used as all around field and sporting? Or a lot heavier than the field/feather with the odd safety
Might want to add Side by Side category in 2024 seem to be more in the market & making a comeback. Last night I saw the new Weatherby SXS side by side in 20ga & 12ga. I really think you should do a side by side comparison of the SKB 90 TSS and the Tristar TT-15 Trap.
Great suggestion!

I feel the Browning Citori CX 32" barrel adjustable comb shotgun should have been on this list, from the reviews I've watched.
that's the one I'm eyeing--good all around clays gun
Take a hard look at the Fabarm Elos N2 line if you can find them. The Sporting, the AllSport, the RS.
I have been looking at the Savage double barrel. It comes in side by side. Over and under. Two sets of barrels. Ejectors or extractors. And, I think the barrels are tooled for chokes. Around $900 dollars..
I love my franchi instinct sideplate! Beautiful gun!
Very informative without being too long. Great review as always Steve. Merry Christmas!

Im in the same boat, has come down to a franchi for me or 686 I think and might call it a day for years to come
Love to see you do a review on the browning ultra XS black laminate shotgun
Have you reviewed the tristar trinity? I’d be interested in your opinion on it
Have ever reviewed the churchill 312 over and under?
Would like to see the CZ All American Combo reviewed. They seem readily available.
we need an in depth review of the beretta 694. it’s the best sporter you can get before you get into the $10,000+ mark.
I’d like to see a review on the CSMC model 21 O/U.
I hunt waterfowl with my Fausti BC100 which I got from BP a while ago. I do pretty well! Really was looking at that Synergy in camp but I already had a terrible experience with the browning DuraTouch coating so I passed on that!
What semi auto shotgun do you think would be good to start off with as the first ?
For waterfowl shotguns I’d love to see a review of the CZ Swamp Magnum. Also Tristar has the Hunter Mag and the Cypher that both I think would be great all purpose or hunting guns, if the quality is there. All 3 are also fairly inexpensive by O/U standards.
Can you review the Cz upland ultralight?
Putting this out there for waterfowl since you only knew of the wicked wing CZ swamp magnum camp is another over under that shoots 3.5” shells and is meant for ducks, haven’t shot one so can’t vouch for it but I do live my ultra light by them
I purchased the BR110 IPS after your review and like it very much for trap.
I have the Browning Citori 725 Feather love it for upland pheasants.
How’s the recoil being the gun is so light? What shells are you shooting with it for pheasant? I usually shoot 1 1/2 ounce bismuth for ducks . Was wanting to get a gun like yours, but thought because of the gun being so light the recoil will be a lot heavier and not able to tolerate it.
can you give me your two cents on the CZ wingshooter elite for 1100, i mostly do white wing hunting.
It’s big money but you should look at the browning citori trap max gold. About $6,500 but I know the other citoris are great guns. I’d like to see a review on their top model with full adjustability rib comb and recoil pad
Really nice video and helps me out alot . Thanks 👍
You tested the CZ Sharptail which is made by Huglu. You should test the Weatherby Orion SXS which is made by ATA.
I really want to see if y'all can get y'all's hands on either a TriStar tt-15 or Beretta prevail 1
Can you do a review over the GForce one shotgun?
Can’t beat the shells ejecting out together. No matter how expensive your o/u is, alot of people just think it costs a pretty penny.
Thank you for the content Steve! Merry Christmas! I hope you get some more shotguns for Christmas and/or some ammo to keep you testing and shooting!
Another Great Video 💯 thank you 🙏💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
Can you do a Remington 1100? My grandfather owned one and got quite a few birds
I was curious if you have ever reviewed the TriStar TT15 trap gun. If not I was wondering if someday you might and give pricing on it.
Would your do an indepth review of the tristar tt15
Please please please review the Orion sxs. It’s right in my price range and I know they’re different but I’m either going to buy that or the beretta ultima a300. Please review!!
Id like a review on the Sauer SL5. Maybe I missed it?
I have a cynergy wicked wing and so far I’ve killed cranes, ducks, dove, turkey, quail and a ton of clays with it and it’s awesome.the gun is 3 years old, gets shot extensively year round and I have zero problems with it. I live on the Texas coast and hunt ducks in the bay. Zero corrosion issues.
Can you do a video on a tr imports silver eagle foris. I can’t find a review anywhere
Like to see some reviews on the cz u/o
Field Supreme, redhead premier, ultralight, drake
I was looking for a good over-under. But I guess I’ll just stay with my 870 Wingmaster. A grand for an over-under is out of my price range.
Love your videos and reviews. Browning Citori 725 looks great.
Hello and thanks for watching. We certainly eat what we shoot here in the USA! 👊 Stay Target 🎯Focused (Hebrews 12:1-3)
Ok, good!! Merry Christmas!!@@TargetFocusedLife
Review the Rizzini BR 110 field model please
An over under is on my wish list
The auto safety on the Beretta 686 is highly annoying. It's also easily disabled. Pull the trigger assembly and remove the rod link that operates it. The only hard part is defeating Beretta's method of getting the trigger plate screw mega tight at the factory.
Can u do a review on a RIA lion semi-auto 12 gauge
Personal experience is what camp fires are all about. I like your choices.
Tristar hunter mag II, all camo nice price point gun for waterfowl
is the franchi afenity 3 elite waterfall good❤❤
On the competition side you should look at Ceasar Guerini's offerings as well as Zoli.
Where are the Kreigoffs and zoli's? Lol can you check out the beretta a400 in 28ga? Interested in recoil for kids and weight.
