Uim Tau I don't think so because in the rules it says "can" use coin drops to buy one special item ("can" keep) That would be funny though if he had to switch an Abby whip for an addy short sword.
Man, I understand you were just throwing out a example but lvl 60 sounds better. It's at that lvl where you could get horse shit but could probably get rune rarely
Video idea... You both kill monsters to get a full gear set up, at the end once you’re both geared you keep it in your inventory so the other person can’t see.... you each choose 3 items from the other persons set up! Do you choose good gear to set yourself up or bad gear to make your opponent weak? 😊
I though the same, and also why worry bout that what you give as a weapon cuz you basicly know they are gonna buy weapon aste "+1" item that they got to choose for them self.
Koirasd Illuminati oy because a lot of drops are better than an addy sword and battle staff? And because once they get a new piece of gear they can’t kill that monster anymore.
@@rhuarkk2138 You're always buying a weapon with the left over money to do damage because you assume your opponent is going to give you shit. So if you give your opponent a mithril skim it doesn't matter because they probably bought rune or Addy.
That makes it significantly less strategic. That forces you to just kill only things with bad drops to not get unlucky. The way they did it made planning and strategies actually matter by killing the monsters in an appropriate order.
@@pinki375 there only strategy in their current way was to get 4 shit drops with no coin value drops then go to a decent monster for coins. They played checkers not chess. You'd have to be far more strategic on drop tables vs coin value vs rng with BIS replacements and to secure a decent weapon for yourself through coin drops all the while risking gearing up your opponent
@@ryanpalmer6919 They didn't even both do that. Rargh specifically got item slots filled up so that he could do a monster that only dropped a bad item in the last slot but also dropped coins. Link went for coins FIRST and then filled in slots at the end. They both went to mostly different monsters and had wildly different strategies. If you changed to your suggestion, they would just find the things that dropped medium coins and low tier equipment. There would be less risk involved, less strategy involved, and they'd likely be killing mostly the same things.
@@pinki375 I don't think you understand strategy my friend. Killing 4 garbage monsters then going for coins with 4/5 slots being irrelevant drops after is the only proper way to play the rule set they had. Literally no strategy required. The only reason they did different things is because Link played it awful mostly for audience appeal I think. Any sensible player would've went the rargh route and ended up with WIS and addy scims/swords 99/100 times. Therefore no strategic value in the rule set. With the rules I suggested you'd have to investigate which slot has the lowest drop rate over in slot value for each slot and get the items accordingly even though RNG could still screw you. Killing wizards, goblins, etc. isn't exactly strategic gameplay is just sensible
what about instead of swapping all of the items minus the one keep, they flip a coin on each slot, or instead of a coin a spinner with a 3rd option of neither item but instead an item bought with the coins, then once landed on the 3rd option is stripped from the wheel and hell for the luls they even spin to decide if they keep or swap the item bought with coins... so random it becomes it's own series.... they could do a dozen episodes and have it be different each time.
Strategy I would have used: First attempt to get a weak 2H weapon. Then when going to the shield slot (which they won't be able to use anyway) go for a high GP monster. Or, you know, a bow.
Fun idea for the next episode. Try to obtain the best gear possible in 1 or 2 hrs, then at the end get the wheel out, put all armour slot names on there, spin it 4 time and swap the item it lands on.
Here is an idea for a challenge. You both do hunting to get gear for a fight. Say you have 2 hours to get gear. You can do implings, but they cannot be in puro puro.
Challenge, you have 1 hour to fill all item slots via monster drops (no map limits). Once an item is picked up it is locked in and must be worn while getting the other items. At the end of the time you trade your items straight across and any unfilled slots are open to be filled by any item 2m or less.
this was a really cool idea. i was thinking maybe you could take an amount like 100k to the ge to buy a full inventory of gear and then the other person picks 1 item from each row and thats your final gear
I remember link said on his live stream that they were doing their duo ironman on this account too so they dont actually have fuming good items on this account right now. Then I forgot what else he said, sorry
Should have made the rule. Get the gear for the other person (like your doing here) BUT you must use the gear obtained to get the rest of the pieces until the slots are filled. ex: you go for an iron scimmy for him and you must use it until the final battle.
With only the leg slot left, an idea would have been to go to something like bronze dragons and commit to giving the other guy dragon legs, but if you got the legs on droprate then you would've wound up with ~91k gp, almost enough to buy a d scim
I know this is an old video... But you know... A Mithril Spear (KP) as the special item would have been straight up cruel, and it's under 1k. Even factoring in this would have been before Spears were rebalanced, and would have been quite slow, the poison would've more than made up for it most likely.
Combine this with spinning the wheel for the monster to kill. You could also be allowed to sell/alch all the other drops received before getting the gear piece
I liked when you guys focused more on gear and the challenge instead of going for food and stuff, maybe try a PVP challenge where both members can ONLY use Kebabs since they heal a random amount and might make a fight super interesting :p
I think it would have been interesting if the item in each slot was not locked in, but could only be upgraded. You'd have to carefully consider what to kill so you don't get upgrades.
Why didn't you just get flowers? 100% 0s and not very difficult. The mith seeds are where i'm unsure tho, because i think they might be exclusive to waterfall.
Make one where if you get a better item, you have to use that one instead of the worst one. Basically you will give him a upgrade even tho you already have an item.
Do this again but you’re unable to kill the monsters from this episode in the next episode. So each episode you’ll progressively be killing stronger monsters and giving better gear to your opponent
tbh I think the cheese strat that Rargh was doing shouldn't have been allowed. like make it so that if you get a better drop later on it would replace the poor one as now this became more about routing the minimal risk for the most coins instead of avoiding good drops
umm why do you fight with only a d scim and no armour or food? like you only slow down the process of getting the items you would eventually fight with anyways lul
anyone else notice rargh speaks with an english accent when he asks questions? like his pitch in his voice goes down instead of up like an english person would ask
@@Rargh no im saying people with american accents go up in pitch when they ask questions but you go down just like people do with the british accent. probably because you play with your english friend so much
IMO for gear like this you should use shittier food. Longer fights give more chance of the better gear winning out. Less food is faster fights and more room for lucky hits to make a huge difference.
should of had rule if you find upgrade you give them upgrade, cause was kinda bs that you could just farm all bad drops then farm something for gold with a low chance of acquiring last item just so you could improve. would make the planing better, as it would be farm gold for better speical item but risk giving them a good item? or farm all bad items but risk having nothing yourself.
Someone tell me why they didn't just get a bunch of items (pretty much what Rargh did) and then go kill something like Kurasks and wait for a Mith Kite? You would make enough in 30 minutes for a Dragon Scim...
GARGOYLES - 1/512 for a completely useless top, thousands of coins, game broken. Elder Choas Druids, Zamorak Wizards, and Basilisks, also all great choices.
Rule: You give your drops to your opponent.
Rargh: Let's go for the worst drops!
Link: Let's go for the best items in the game!
With Link's luck I was expecting the first abby demon to drop an abby whip.
Its not bad luck when you have bad things happen to you over and over, he might be a little slow.
But wouldn't he still have had to use his item he bought? to overrule the whip?
I was hoping he'd get it lol

1 hour of slayer monsters, 1 hour of barrows. Throw all the loot from both players into a pool and take turns picking equipment one by one
