I love these challenges when Rargh just falls into a giant pit of terrible decisions and awful rng it's so entertaining

I skipped to the end after learning that it was going to be iron scimmy v bronze pick. It was too obvious from there and no longer worth watching.

I would like to see this challenge again but increase the monster level cap. Maybe next time you have to kill level 200 or higher monsters

Before the reveals in these challenges they should check the max hits at PoH just out of interest. They almost always ask during every fight. They should just check. :)

I’ve got a crazy pvp challenge idea. Auction style pvp challenge with a twist. You want to be the first one to die. Gear is auctioned off and you bid on each piece to give to the opposite player. Whatever gear they end up with they have to wear.
I vote for these style challenges, if a better item is dropped in pursuit of another item, it should be swapped. would spice things up other than locking in a bronze pick straight away

What I think would be interesting would be to do a fight with quest rewards. Except maybe some catch like - you only get 150k coins to spend to buyback/obtain reward items, and every 5k not spent is a food upgrade; so like, as a base do 20 lobsters, but let's say you saved 20k of the 150k, that'd be four upgrades to ... Shoot, sharks or manta rays or something.
"So let's pray for bronze med helm here". This is probably the only place you can hear them pray and fume over the weirdest drops. Must be good friends with torturing each other lmao
i really like the challenges where there's so much diversity that you guys end up going on complete different tracks. imo better than the ones where u end up with close to the exact same gear at the end. we can really see who strategized well and planned best for these. keep this up boys

I’m a hard core team rargh fan and that was an awesome move on the shade top but link really clutched this episode with the satchel and pickaxe
I thought it was a bit lame. Rargh tries his best to be so fair and genuine lmao.
Does link get an extra hour of planning or something? I feel like he always comes into these so prepared and rargh on the other hand is always seeing if he can stack the deck against himself and still win.

I feel like you should modify these challenges so that while you can never get something worse for subsequent slots, getting an upgrade for your opponent should be allowed. Keeps the risk going instead of the challenge terminating on a boss with a drop table that will give guaranteed trash in the last slop you need.
You should do this again but you have to fill every slot and repeats count while doing it. In the end your opponent gets the best gear dropped overall. It would add more variety in gear and has a good opportunity for someone to get something funny like a rune full helm.
Rargh prayer flicking with 1 hp lmfao
2 hours of only picking up items that spawn on ground (or on tables, etc). Materials can be used, but tools have to be picked up aswel. Lobsters for base food.
Rargh does these challenges for the fun of it and fan support. Link does these challenges because he needs to destroy his opponents to assert dominance to the internets

Challenge idea: Chunk draft- there’s a total of 15-20 possible chunks, take turns picking your chunks 7 rounds(yes there will be more chunks) then go get your gear. The catch: only 1 item per chunk and items are locked when you get it. (If you get a item for a slot that’s already locked you stay in that chunk) Maybe allow one swap but you have to claim before starting the chunk.
And food is an item. First food you get from drop/make is your full inventory.

I'd love to see a challenge where you guys try to get the best gear for yourself possible, however you want to do it, but whatever food upgrades you get you have to give to the other person.
Only Link would go to some Rock Golems at some bumfuck valley lmfao.

Spent some time looking through the items on OSRS to see if I could think of a better plan. Technically I did...but only if Giant Skeletons in Tarns Lair would have been allowed. They have level 100 combat, so...
Anyways, I wrote a long comment explaining it, but it wasn't until the end that I realized I essentially only combined Rargh and Links plans lol.
Frogeel -> Ghast (or Rock Golems) -> Ork -> Giant Skeleton (or Ancient Barbarian) -> Shade
Ghast can give iron dagger/mace, which makes it a safer alternative than Rock Golems (since adamant is the same rarity as bronze). Giant Skeleton can give bronze full helm or bronze plateskirt, but probably not allowed.
If this had been a team challenge though, Rargh and Link would have killed it.
I would love to see you guys have a sort of dice or wheel or something that you spin 1 time per video and if it lands on a certain part, you swap the weapon. Or something along those times. Something that can change the entire match at the beginning of each reveal.
Love all of these, and I'm really surprised how original it continues to be! What if you did a giveaway of the items you get from collecting before the fight? Not for the money, but I'm sure the fans would love a souvenir!
New challenge idea. Same idea kill higher level mobs for low level gear. But if you get an upgrade for the slot when fighting another mob you have to replace it.
Would be fun to do this challenge was that you should get the worst possible gear from monsters over 100 combat level with the twist that you keep this shitty equipment and the winner is the one who loses the battle

Potential idea: Gear for yourselves. U can only kill monsters in increasing combat order, up to maximum of 100 (or something else reasonable, like maybe 120) [no bosses]. U can only fill each slot once (have to take the first dropped, non duplicate slot, item).

Challenge idea: with the shade in the video, you should do a challenge with the shades of Morton mini game. 3 hours or 10 of each shade or something like that

I think this challenge would be great but add in the rule where items are only locked in unless you get something better by accident. E.g. a steel scimitar can’t be downgraded to a iron but can be upgraded to a black or higher.
Those Shade used to appear as a dangerous random when burying bones. They had use since way back now they are just an Easter egg hence the no combat xp :)

A video idea - Try 3 hours of bossing in max gear, keep any item you want for final fight sell the rest of the drops and use that money to bid on items like you did in vids before. So you'll have to balance getting specific items and profit all without knowing what will be up for auction

I think it'd be cool if you guys did a pvp challenge where you went for high level gear over the course of a week.. daily uploads on your progress and no restrictions on what you can bring. Just a thought if you run out of ideas :D
Challenge idea: kill a boss (e.g. vork) for X hours in gear that you have to give to the other person at the end. The more boss kills you get in the time, the more money/food/your choice of thing you can take to the final fight. Could have milestones like 10/25/50 kills = a special reward or something. Some good give and take there I think.

You guys should do a two hours to get the best gear and food possible, then you switch gear and invents. The catch is the winner of the fight loses because that means they got the other person worse gear.
Make it so that you could still upgrade to a better item after a slot is filled. Not allowing upgrades was intended to make it harder when you are going for good items. As you're now going for bad items, you can make it harder by allowing upgrades.

I know you probably made a similar vid but Next challenge should be “start with 1 gp at the grand exchange then we fight” where you both start with 1 gp to flip on the ge and at the end use whatever gp youve got to buy gear and food to fight with
Have you guys done one where the mobs level has to increase with each kill? like you can kill 3 of a mob then move to a higher level mob.

VIDEO IDEA :) can you do this challenge again but slightly different, you both hunt for the worst gear possible for each other, BUT while you are hunting to fill out the slots if yoiu get a better upgrade you have to use that instead? for example: if you get a steel dagger drop as the weapon but while you are killing another monster for lets say a armour slot the monster drops an mithril scimitar you then have to give over the scimmy instead of the dagger? so the slots are not locked in untill all slots are filled if that makes sense ? love the videos btw :)

You should try another variant of this where you have to take the first of each slot, but you do it twice. Try for a good and bad item for each slot. Have them pre picked as 1 or 2 then you both say the number you want and that's what you get. So if you both pick the bad item you trade bad items and thats your slot. If one says bad's number one says good? You swap.
You guys should have shown a comparison side by side of your full gear so we could have seen the difference between the stats

I'm confused. Did you have to lock in the first item you get for a particular slot? Do you have to leave a mob once you fill a slot from it? Neither of you mentioned these rules, but i'm 10 minutes in and that appears to be the case... otherwise Rargh could have just kept killing orcs after the iron scim and Link wouldn't have made that comment about the steel mace.
Edit: The 2 hour time limit tells me that those two rules both weren't originally going to be included, because both of you were done by 30 minutes in. What happened?
How about a challenge where you have X amount of time to kill anything under a certain level, sell the drops on G.E and buy or craft the best setup you can, up to you if you want to allow buying stuff off the G.E to be allowed, or just keep to vendors ironman style?

Shouldn’t have gone for the weapon first. It’s such a big factor when it comes to the fight that I knew Link won by the time the video hit 6 minutes.
If you do a similar format in the future, you should include a spec weapon. If you don't manage to get one then the opponent gets a Dragon dagger or something.
What if you guys did the same idea but if you accidentally upgrade a piece of equipment you have to keep it instead of having it locked in after you get it
Increase the Level cap, but include if an upgrade drops, the upgrade swaps out the lower tier item.
