Half of these 900 buses (the high numbered ones) were retired in 1996. The low numbered ones were retired 3-5 years later and went back to Canada. These had the Allison V730 or V731 Transmission.
This bus had it all...a beautiful paint job, a sexy female driver behind the wheel, and a slow, mellow takeoff mixed with that awesome New Look "grumble" that will always sing a tune. Thank you for posting this.
I used to live in the area where this bus ended its route. But these fishbowls weren't around when I lived in North Park, it was the 40 foot New Flyers and 1991 Gilligs.

What we don't know: is if any of the lower 900s kept their 6V92TAs before arriving in Quebec City.
OMG!!! That Detroit engine this bus got is the business!!! Nothing in these streets these days can compete with this.

The 400 series (ex-San Diego Transit) GM's at MTS were retired in December of 1995 or January of 1996.
I believe this is a 6v-92 powered bus. Late model GMC New Look had 6v-92s. Santa Monica Big Blue Bus, had a fleet of New Looks with 6v-92s.
Now don't that sound sexy?
The 900 series had a 6V92 Detroit diesel.
Damn this one had the best takeoff
SPEED! :)
It's actually Route 2, not 2A. The head destination sign should have interchanged between 2 "30TH & ADAMS" and 2 "NORTH PARK".
