I don't understand why rockstar didn't contact the modders and say: hey you made these games look way better than we could so here's your budget, remake the games and you get a cut of the profits.
If cyberpunk 2077 taught me anything it was never to pre-order a game regardless of how good the game could be or how much you love the series...
You can always get it on sale. I'm excited for Elden Ring but I sure as shit won't pre-order it.

Agree Rockstar didn’t even bother trying modernise this game. Same bugs from 2004 and a low budget texture pack. All of this to just milk money
I thought DE was great and all,then i saw TheProfessional's walkthrough of GTA SA with the glitching textures CJ and then this video and both opened my eyes.Perhaps i thought wrong.The fact that it STILL has that 10th Anniversary vehicle bug leads me to believe they just took the 10th Anniversary edition of each game and bumped up the textures.
They legit just slapped the mobile ports on Unreal and called it a day, all the graphical improvements are part and parcel of moving to a much newer game engine that prides itself on its “quality” graphics.
That's literally what they did, all the bugs and glitches from the mobile port are still in the DE. Cut content and hardware limitations too, all they did was run the mobile part through an upscaler AI and added the weapon wheel and GPS then called it a day.
You can tell an AI did the graphics because a lot of the signs in the games have typos now where the AI couldn't understand what a word was, do it guessed. One store selling AIR GUITARS now reads selling AR guitars.
I laughed. Well done Istura. Basically a modded mobile port with glitches.

My biggest complaint is that they straight up lied about this "gta5 gunplay". Right after the way same VC and SA characters look incl. Tommy and CJ. What a mess..
I agree and also I really thought they would update the rag dolls. They haven't touched it it's exactly the same. This is pretty much just a texture and lighting update. Where some of the character models looks awful. Like I had no complaints with PS2 version they had detail and character. These characters look like bad sims characters

Modding the original game still gives so much better results, with none of the new bugs.
Yess, and also running it with GTA RE3 (reverse engineering project) will fix most of those 60fps bugs from the original.

SA for me won't work with mods enabled, even with it rolled back to earlier updates. Hopefully someone can port or make new mods for the remaster

The story is good but after u complete the story it feels like an empty map and game with nothing to do!! I really can't put my finger on it but something about the games now just aren't as fun as they used to be back in the day it could be that I'm just getting older and bored of it but I actually play my 360 all the time and I have way more fun with it than I do on the ps4 or xbox one gta 4 bully rdr 1 the old ncaa games and also not to mention the 360 is literally just easier u put the disc in and ur playing in minutes where as on the other systems u have to download updates and install the games it's constant bullshit. But to get back on the topic here I think if Rockstar actually gave a shit about the fans we would be playing gta 6 right now the problem is they don't care anymore they can make more money by milking games for over a decade instead of making new stuff and giving the fans what they want. But let's be really honest, GTA V and rdr2 base game single players are a pair of the best games ever made, GTA still holds up better than many up to date releases. What Im saying is, I don't think it's fair to say theyre not a good developer or care about the consumer when they have consistently put so much effort into giving us great, all time games

I think if it weren't for Red Dead 2, Rockstar's reputation would be down in the dirt with EA or something, i'm hopeful that GTA Online gave them temporary insanity and they can still produce a GTA game with the quality levels we experienced in Red Dead 2.
If GTA 6 has a smaller story mode with more and more assets shifted into the online component, i think i'll write them off completely.
Fingers crossed that they haven't completely lost their minds, them thinking that their efforts on the so called "expanded and enhanced" version of GTA would go over well doesn't bode well though.

back in 2014 i thought bethesda and rockstar were the shimmer of light at the end of the tunnel, a last hope for gamers. Now were lost in the darkness grabbing for anything that feels remotely close to a game. every reputable gaming company has only dropped trash lately.
We still have studios like larian, obsidian, inexile and owl cat but they all focus in rpg games.
What about companies like Insomniac and Sucker Punch?

Don't forget that doing the blood bawl stadium in san fierro on xbox one/series corrupt your save meaning you can't save, doing mission that imply a auto save or load a game. you also can't complete the game at 100%.

GTA SA means a lot to me as a game and in my opinion it's the greatest game of all time. The original will always be the best. 💯
I wish more care was taken in this new release, from the character models to the overall feel of the game. I really wish they kept the characters on point with the originals and not taken a cartoony approach.
Let's say San Andreas plays exactly like the original except with the gameplay upgrades, are you really going to be that disappointed because the graphics aren't amazing?

I'm more than happy with a fresh coat of paint, cartoony or otherwise but what were you expecting? I think you, like a lot of people including me, would look over these minor issues within about 5 minutes because we're so engrossed in the game

I've not played it, I may wait a little while for the price to come down. What's annoying me is people are making it out like rockstar is this useless franchise when they've actually given people like me and you childhood memories aswell as memories from 2018 in rdr2

The worst thing about the "definitive" edition of the trilogy is just that these are just mobile ports of the three games ported over to UE4 and slapped minimum effort into them

Rockstar really has fallen to shit in these last 8 years. RDR2 was honestly their last good game and even that has it's problems. Don't get me wrong, I loved RDR2, but I think it was kind of a step down from RDR1.

Their next project was red dead which is also one of the best games of all time, whether or not it's a step down from 1 is debatable but not a bad take at all. One of the the most disappointing thing for me was how they didn't change the vehicles to try to make them more realistic and hd, the vehicles are as low poly as they were before just some new textures added, there is actually a mod for gta3 that makes all the vehicles high quality models
I'm not gonna lie the character models in this "Remaster" look terrible especially in San Andreas. Hell some character models look more detailed in the orinal such as the first barber you see in SA. Suppose to be an old man but literally looks like random make character model.

I find it ironic how modder sites with less funding than a multi billion dollar company can make even better versions of the game than the multi billion dollar company themselves. My main problem is taking the old versions off the market. They were cheaper and better. It's like the iOS versions with added ray tracing dialed to 11 and as buggie as FO 76.
