Best version of this song I've ever seen. Perfect sounds so cliche, but I really don't see how it could get any better than this. Saw him with our St. Louis symphony at Powell Hall and they were outstanding, but this is better. The atmosphere... the intro... it all flowed together very well. Good on Ben and the Aussie symphony.
Not only do I love this version, but I love how Ben enters in: The nattily dressed members of orchestra play the introductory opener of their concert, that making it seem like a concert of a theater/early film movie soundtracks. But then enters Ben Folds, looking like as if he came out of the room from his sleep, after having some beers from night before after working on his arrangements, forgetting that he had to dress up for the occasion. But Ben Folds is a musical genius, he can get away from looking like a regular Joe in a concert.
I have just discovered Ben today. Im totally knocked out! What an immensely talent man. Sitting here in the South of France wondering if he’ll show up in Provence.
