Rowena is really pretty
I'm so happy about your new host!!! You guys have great chemistry and it feels like it goes far smoother. Great job you two!
I liked her :) She had a great energy!
rowena's great!! she has so much energy
Okay, is it just me, or does it seem like there's a number of things that start out in America, but then go overseas to Asia, and just get exponentially better? 😀
Alex Blair Yep. What's really funny with 7/11 is that the American 7/11 licensed out the brand name to Asian franchisees and then the Asian division got so successful that they bought out the American 7/11 company when they were facing financial troubles (in the late 90s, I think?)
ROWENA IS THE BEST! #1 MIKE CHEN SIDECHICK! MORE LIFE MORE TO THE CONVERSATION THAN THE OTHERS! CHOICES MUST BE MADE!!!!!
I love this new duo! She is very energetic and I can't wait to see more videos with you two 😚
I'm Sooooo happy! For you on your building and humanitarian work on the side she's seems genuine
Originally as the name indicates, in the US they were open from 7 AM to 11 PM, 7 days a week. Back in the day, that was really cool as most small towns had Sunday closing laws and if you were travelling and needed food or a cold drink, it was almost impossible to find anything open except restaurants.
After the tsunami 7-11 did a lot to get urgent supplies to people. That was when I learned how cool they are in Japan.
You two would make a CUTE COUPLE!!! 😉😉😉
XPJPJT yeah, a cute couple of friends jkjk. They do huh
XPJPJT u cnt ship real people
2cool2bhot yes you can you idiot
Zhu Randy it's really creepy though
Love your shows! Always lifts my spirits! lol :)
Actually Thai 7-11 is owned by CP. They are a poultry, meat company too. So the meat and dishes you mentioned are legit. Not unknown meat. Delish. Tender and real. Yummmm
love ALL your channels!!!🙌
The video is 7 minutes and 11 seconds long for 7 Eleven!! 😂
One of the other reasons I liked so much about any of the convenience stores in Japan is the sheer variety of choices of food you can get there, compared to what we have here in Canada and is way way superior. Whenever I was there, not only did I stop by 711's but also Lawsons and Family Marts as well....constantly busy in many locations,it totally puts the ones we have here to shame and its not even close. There's other ones too but those three are what I often went a lot to get stuff. Looking forward to them again sometime next year for my 3rd time to Japan!
Rowena is a great addition! I am from the slurpee capital of the world, Winnipeg!
I agree, i thought at first she was just a pretty face, but she's really fun!
Great hire !
Rowena is my new favorite Chinese woman. Step aside Lucy Lu .
Rowena is cool, but I miss Dan.
Roku The Ruthless Toothless Polydactyl Barn Cat me too!
Roku The Ruthless Toothless Polydactyl Barn Cat yes,yes you're right
When I was in Thailand the 7-11 was amazing! I loved going there all the time. The 7-11 here isn't the same :(
I went to Japan for two weeks back in October and the 7-Elevens were phenomenal there was like one every half a mile distance from each other and the selection was amazing it's one of the many things that I missed once I came back to the States.
Bento, niku-mann, fried food...?
in Singapore, you also can get waffles, prepacked rice and noodles too! and ramen egg!
good chemistry, good addition
Idk whether 7-11s in the US sell tickets, but when I was an HK, a quick web search told me I could buy tickets for ocean park at 7-11, saving me probably over half an hour bc I didnt have to wait in ticketing line
Mike and Rowena, you guys make a great team! Hope to see more of you two.
The sticky rice sandwiches from Thailand are really good. Minced meat is my favorite when i go on road trips.
Since watching Texan in Tokyo's video of her and her husband eating oden from a 7/11 it's been like my life mission to go to Japan in the winter and have some. It looks so freaking good!
I love your videos!!!
I really liked those sticky rice burgers at Thai 7-11, they warm them up for you and everything
Your new host is great. Awesome vid!
Mike, the Northern Spicy Pork Sticky Rice Burger is so good at 7-11, Bangkok, Thailand. :)
where I'm at, there's not only 7-eleven, there's also hi-life, ok mart and family mart. family mart originated from Japan.
I used to live in socal and I've never even seen a 7-eleven much less step into one. people in Asia are really lucky to have convenience stores around every corner. truly convenient.
I used to go to 7-Eleven for ice cream and Steamed Buns omfg. I can't wait to go back to Asia again this summer!!!
Hey Mike! Great video, glad I found this channel. I had a suggestion?
Make a video for how to move to an Asian country(Like Japan)? I am very interested in moving to Japan or South Korea or even Thailand or Myanmar.
Rowenas amazing! you two are a great Duo! Love her positive energy💕
The name _7-11_ originally referred to their hours operation. 7 a.m. to 11 p.m, 7 days/week. In the early 1960s these broad hours were almost unheard of in the USA. I first learned about how nice Asian 7-11s are from the TabiEats UA-cam channel, where they have done several videos on eating stuff from 7-11s in Tokyo.
Thailand 7-11 rice dishes are good. have tried a variety of them and they taste good. No mystery meat, but real meat used and done well, only small portion size. Just ask them to microwave it for you and eat.
Osaka 7-Eleven (and FamilyMart too I think): you can buy to-be-warmed-up trays of meals, and... no, you don't need to go home and use your microwave, they have one, will heat it up and you can eat it right there in the corner of the 7-Eleven.
Totally agree, the 7 Eleven’s in Tokyo were amazing. I must of spent an hour in the first one I went in, just amazed at everything that they had and I only went in to get a bottle of water. LoL
7/11 here in China have fresh lunch with multiple choises from twice cook pork, egg and tomato to kung pao chicken and spicy eggplant. just 10 to 15 yuan and you can choose rice and 3 side dishes.
I didn't check out the 7-11s downtown but close to Vancouver they carry a bunch of asian treats / snacks , a small section but still different from a lot of Canadian 7-11s that I have been to.
Really like your VDO's 👍
you guys are great
7-11 in Singapore does not offer dry cleaning services although we do have the microwave and sims card etc
I LOVE 711 in Japan. They're everywhere and have anything you might need. Coming from America, I can say with all certainty that they're WAAAAY better in Japan.
great video!
Here in the Philippines our 7/11 have all types of noodles (shin ramyun, chinese, malaysian, japanese, asian noodles), matcha flavored kitkats, asian drinks (fr korea, japan, etc) , you can also pay your bills and pay plane ticket via PayPal. Oh and you can also charge your phone
7 min 11 sec long video. I see you Mike.
I like the absailing peado bear , LOL
Sarah Pao with salty egg :3 and candy. Dont forget the milk, yoghurt, Jelly, Dorayaki and bred! Yummy! ^-^
I like the chemistry between Rowena and Mike... very natural
Man, seems like the filipino 7/11 got left behind.
There's a 7-Eleven in the Philippines?
Mike Leslie agreee! i love the place but ours is left behind
Mike Leslie i saw mash potato machine in 1 and we have chargers on our local 7/11
the picture of 7/11 they are using is 7/11 in Escario Street Cebu City, Philippines. 😊
Pinish ur Rice 7-11 is everywhere. Of course there's 7-11 in the Philippines. It's the top convenience store there. Almost every corner there's one.
wow...I wish we had that kind of 711 in the states...lucky lucky lucky hahaha talk about a one stop convenience shop hahaha
7 Eleven shops in Asia usually don't have gas filling facilities or Slurpee machines. They are mostly busy and their customers are rarely for dry cleaning, taxis, etc. You order concert tickets online anyway. You mostly go there for snacks, alcohol, or cigarettes. And a lot of male customers reading creepy comic books for free.
just found this channel as well MIIIKE!! subbed. now i subbed to all your channels, unless you're hiding other ones :I
WHAO XD I JUST WATCHED ROWENA'S video about her joining a channel & this gets uploaded!!!
Nice to see that you have a sidekick again
I love 7 11 in Thailand. I always go there when we first get into the country for my sim card and a thai tea. :-)
The most recent 7/11 I was in was in Manila. It didn't have some of the things you guys mentioned, but I must admit, it had a lot of different stuff. I think we went there every day, a couple of times a day the whole time I was in Manila.
When I was in Japan I was amazed I could get hot coffee and tea in a can! not only in 7-elevens, but also from vending machines on the streets! Also a huge variety of drinks and snacks...why don't they have it here? :(
Taiwan has Green Tea Soft Serve !!!! Yummmm
I think 7-eleven in Taiwan and Japan are huge are there are a lot of food options. But those in HK are tiny, mostly only selling snacks and some magazines.
spicy pork with sticky rice is my fav
More Rowena! Seems very chill and enthusiastic.
7-11 mash potato and gravy. Win, win.
for the record, I'm Texan and I 😍♥💖💞 my 7-11. I buy fresh flowers there for my boss, gifts for my team... of course my daily Dr. Pepper fix... they've got a great selection of fresh salad and fruits. Back in yhe 90s there were 711 with independently operated washterias connected, but i haven't seen one of those in a while.
7-11 is not so ubiquitous in my part of Florida. the closest one is 6 miles. far closer are circle k, citgo and sunoco.
I usually go to the circle k at present. it's the closest. the prices are reasonable. I have to cross the highway to get there, but there's a traffic light and crosswalk.
At home I miss the cream soda from Schweppes, which I enjoyed in south china.
I looove Rowena! ❤
I LOVE duck tongue!
Saw you randomly recording in Flushing! Looks like you got to avoid the random downpour. Sorry for the random double take in the background around Macy's. Lol.
the 7/11s in Singapore works just like a hop in convenience store. No chairs and tables or wifi there (in my knowledge). But Taiwan's 7/11s have those
Ivan Lim there are actually chairs and tables in many of the 7/11s in sg
Damn it! I've been wanting the sweet potato cake from 7/11. (Here in Japan)
All things are so easy at 7/11 and there's like 5+ with in a 2mile radius of my house. Literally everywhere!!!! 😊
You can't get clothes drycleaned at 7-11 in Japan, and there are virtually no pay-as-you-go cellphone plans here either. The rest are mostly true, though. The food selection is obviously different based on which asian country, I wish we had the mashed potato vending machine! In Japan you can get copies of certain official documents issued at 7-11 (think birth certificate, land deed, car title, etc, although the actual documents available are different depending on the laws of the city you live in).
1:58 Thanks to Amazon's lockers in the US, you can now at least receive Amazon packages to 7-11. While that's not an all purpose mail delivery location, it's at least better than nothing. Though, Amazon is also putting its lockers into 24/7 grocery stores like Safeway. So, receiving packages from Amazon is not exclusive to 7-11. This means that receiving packages at 7-11 in these stores in Asia is not really that unique anymore.
I miss the Onigiris in Chinese 7-Elevens everyday here in New Zealand. There's no 7-Eleven in New Zealand. Every time I go back to China during study break, I'll just go straight into a 7-Eleven the first day I arrive and buy like 5 Onigiris.
Also the Oden(it's called Hao Dun 好炖 in Chinese 7-Elevens), can't get enough of that!
I'm super hungry now.. I would eat anything!
am i the only one who hasn't gone to a 7-11 store? i've always wanted to go to one because i heard a lot of things about it... especially the asian 7-11's are the ones i really want to go to
That "Press Esc to exit full screen mode" overlay on Steve from Blues Clues ... >
I go to 7-11 in Japan like... Daily hahahah even if it's to grab a drink or to grab some groceries or a snack or smth (or to cool down in summer cuz it's hot af)
Love Rowena!!!!! She's at least a dozen times more fun than the two girls you had in your California videos.
Asian 7/11 completely blows the U.S versions out of the water XD.
I love those mashed potatoes on vending machine. They no longer have it in Singapore, how sad 😢.
Thailand’s 7-11 try to imitate street food varieties and make it clean. The sticky rice with pork actually taste good
Hey guys I like it videos.. can I pls do about Australian 7 Eleven
Now I can hear repeatedly the 7:11's door sound!
I love you guys and a nice video. Just plz next time do it siting down coz standing swaying left and right looks weird on the screen
Far more superior than described in video.
I love her and she is Vegetarian even better keep her on !
The video is 7:11 mins lol
U FORGOT THEIR GIANT YAKULTS IN TAIWAN
Cedric Chan yesh!
Especially the aloe ones
we have it in S.Korea too
And their salads too. They are amazing. Not the typical american kind. The ones in Asian 711s are actually good.
I have it in my stomach too
Growing up in Japan I loved 711 and was very disappointed in the American 7-Eleven's! But nothing beats a quarter pound hot dog with nacho cheese.
you'll also smell like a hot pot soup in 7-11 in taiwan. not that it's a bad thing.
saw the mashed potato dispenser in singapore and i'd like my mashed potato scooped or something. reminds me of robocop. hahaha
I just read the word "robocop" as "robopoop". Sorry:)
SusantheRestorer 🤣🤣
Japanese 7-Eleven wow food was amazing good, here in OZ hmmm petrol station....
pork burger from 7-11 in Thailand is amazing. only 30 baht.
Just like Pizza Hut in Hk that like a fancy sit down restaurant
I've also heard, at least if you're from the US, that 7-Eleven is a good place to go to get money with your debit card, that they're one of the few places that are on the same network as US cards. (true?)
I love Rowena she is so fun!!!!
When I went to the 7 eleven in Thailand it looked like a supermarket
thank the gods for 7eleven!!!
good show
HK 7 Eleven has all the Chinese food they cook at all the Asian resturants. The 7 Elena in HK can put all the Chinese and Asian resturants out of business. No waiting instant made in 3 minutes microwaved delicious.
Don't know if you were aware of it but there was a slightly greenish tint to one side of your face and hand. Green screen malfunction? 😮
