Great video man. As far as the flasher was it plug and play? Or did you have to rewire anything? Do you happen to have a link to the flaher or a part #? Thanks

Yes, as long as you ground that black wire, it's plug and play. It won't work at all if you don't ground it. It was the United Pacific Industries 90650 LED flasher

That is a cool Suburban, when I was growing up he had one like that. Are you in Corrales?

Why/how is it... that leds look dimmer then the old halogen lights... i tried the same for my 69 Buick i built. But, man, the old halogen lights up so much better then the leds..

There's actually a pretty simple answer to this. Modern vehicles opt for LEDs because they can be brighter and illuminate faster than halogen lights, but as mentioned in the video you can't just plug LEDs into an older system and have them operate correctly. LED boards usually have resistor chips in them, because they still need resistance to operate but the diodes don't naturally resist current. If you have other halogen lights in series with the LEDs, they should still operate... but if you don't, you have to add resistance in the circuit. Basically where you put the resistor can have an effect on brightness (along with angle of the lights themselves changing visibility which I think may be why it's hard to see these one from directly behind).
So putting LEDs on an older vehicle that wasn't set up and built around running them usually means you either have to have a really good in depth understanding of where to put resistors so you can actually get the brighter light, or just sacrifice the brightness and visibility to save the headache.
