I really want to know how exactly the satellite connectivity works, that seems like such a game changer for a lot of people that was just brushed over by everyone who covers it
I think cnet do video on that. Basically, you line up with satellite from near dynamic island graphic. If connected you can send anything to other imessage receiver or sms.
I like and watch every video Apple explained has made since 2 years ago, and I see how his videos are getting better and better!

As an iPhone SE 2nd gen user, this is probably going to be the last update I'm getting, so I'm glad it's a big one.

I went from a SE2 to a 15 Pro and I’m glad I’ll be getting all the new features, but I will say it’ll probably be until iOS 20 when the SE2 stops getting uodates

@@CalebChaffee yeah, all Apple devices come with 7 years worth of of software updates from launch, I have a 2018 iPad 6 running ipadOS 17.

Can you make a video explaining why Apple won't be launching Apple Intelligence on iPhone 15 and 15 Plus? I've read that it's because of RAM limitations, but it's super frustrating to have just purchased an iPhone 15 😅

I have also warned them of the passing of planet Saqar starting from the south pole, based on the knowledge Allaah embedded in the clear verses of the great Qur'an. To explain, I have been warning people around the world for 19 Hijri² years- starting from the month of Muharram 1426 AH corresponding to 2005 AD- to beware of the greatest torment of Allaah in consequence of the passing of planet Saqar, which will come from the two poles, and approach the closest point of the South pole. I warned the world 19 years ago that planet Saqar, which is coming from the Northern celestial sphere, will approach the closest point to the southern celestial pole of the celestial sphere. When it rises, it will block the horizon of the South of the Earth from the Far-South East passing through the terrestrial South. To illustrate, it will roundly encompass Antarctica, obstructing the celestial South pole and leading to a brobdingnagian heavenly eclipse from the far East to the far West. The eclipse will begin from the Southern horizon of the celestial sphere, and it will enshroud the sky away from the four directions of the Earth; the South, the East, and the West, then it will set from where it came out in the depth of the Northern Celestial Sphere. This is a decisive statement that is not to be taken for amusement. It will throw on the Earth rains of marked fiery stones, in the providence of Allaah, to be dedicated to wrongdoers. Then, the night will outrun the day and the sun will rise from the West and set in the East. I bet you must mark my words!

@@gianpierlucaargento4694 What exactly are you laughing at? I have a 15 pro, so this will affect me. Also considering this is a key feature they demonstrated, it’s unlikely to be removed by the time full launch arrives.

It could be useful for a lot of people but personally I know what notifications I want to view, and most of them are not from contacts/people which is what I’m assuming the AI will classify as “important”.

Yea it pre-fils a random password 20 letters long but only letters and numbers atm (u can edit it tho to add £&@#*+%

Apple not allowing older phones than the 15 to us the ChatGPT feature is ridiculous. It wouldn’t be a hardware issue but hey that’s so Apple
Think it’s cause of the way they utilise ChatGPT in Apple Intelligence. Since it’s used by the updated Siri as an external tool, and Apple Intelligence isn’t coming to anything older than the 15 pro (cause yes it’s a stupidly powerful piece of software) the framework around the system wouldn’t be there so there would be nothing for ChatGPT to be used for by iOS. So I don’t really see your problem outside of the fact that you have to pay to use the premium features like the majority of people. Not defending Apple but I do see their point here.
Does iOS 18 have some issues with battery,heating or some dumb but annoying issues like iOS 17 had and still has even in 17.5.1 ?
I was a big anti apple person for years but figured I’d try iPhone back in 2019. I got a 6s for like 200 brand new at Walmart and was surprised how much I liked it, I ended up moving up the iPhone line until I got the 14 pro right after it came out and over a year later it’s just as fast as the day I bought it. I now have everything apple from the iPad, AirPods Pro a couple MacBook pros and just upgraded my Apple Watch from the 8 to a 45mm series 9 and was able to give my mom my series 8. I keep the whole house in apple products lol I upgrade my device then my mom gets my old devices and then my sister gets her old ones. If you are anti apple trust me I get it but it’s so nice how everything works seamlessly between all apple products

Finally able to lock apps! This is great for security in case phone is stolen while unlocked. Great job Apple!
I’m more excited about Siri getting an update honestly. At times I feel she’s not helpful or doesn’t understand what I’m asking. Also I like being able to record a live call BUT don’t like it notifies the other person. Lots of cool new features coming up!

I have iOS 18 on my iPhone 15 and iPadOS 18 on my iPad 10 and watchOS 11 on my Apple Watch Ultra 2 and I love iOS 18! It’s my most favorite iOS version yet I love the customization of the Home Screen

I’m guessing the developer beta isn’t compatible with my iPhone 12 because every time I go to update my phone it says my iPhone is up to date and it doesn’t need updated

Have you registered your Apple Account to allow iOS 18 Betas? If not, I think the public beta is on Monday so more people should be able to try it then

Kind of. It’s in public beta testing, but I wouldn’t recommend installing it, since betas are unstable and have a lot of bugs. the final update will be out this fall for all users then

I’m pretty sure that only the 15 pros and the new 16s will get the AI features.
Probably there would be a bypass (ex. Editing the files to trick the os that your phone is a iPhone 15)
Or just wait til it leaves beta and hope they let other users have it for free

Someone mentioned it’s implemented as cloud-only on other models… dunno if true but if so, no doubt at least somewhat slower & less secure. AI very processor intensive.

Everytime someone makes a video like this, they forget to mention that those language based functions (summaries, rewriting, visual voicemail, smart reply, AI understanding of notifications, …) are almost exclusively for English so there are only a few countries that benefit from those features.

Agreed. There is nothing I need here. In fact the iPhone is a cluttered mess of features very few people ever use. Or want. Sad how far it’s fallen just to have shiny “new” stuff every version. The feature creep has ruined the simplicity that made it revolutionary.
@@bookpast Exactly this! All phones in the market have been doing this since we've plateaued on the development front. AI was never a technological advancement since so many people never really wanted these features in the first place.

What is shocking is that in 18th iteration of the best mobile operating system we still don’t have independent volume controls for notifications, incoming calls and media. Option for numbers row in keyboard automatic caller identification, dialer that actually can suggest contacts as you type, I would much rather have that than all this nonsense. You can see they are out of ideas when they have to copy others or depend on Open AI to bring feature to customers.

Yes it does, but DOWNLOAD AT YOUR OWN RISK, it is called “iOS 18 DEVOLPER beta” for a reason. It it not meant for people that are not creating an app or work for Apple
If you download it, nothing will happen, you’ll be able to use iOS 18 normally.
The Apple iOS 18 software will be for all devices across the board..the public software release next month.the biggest update release in fall.but the Apple intelligence will be only work for later devices 15 and up. The beta version is available now which I haven’t had any issues so far.
