Sean, have to say you finally meet your match Ryan! He is such a sweetheart… easy on the eyes and possess that unique Singaporean sunshine smile! And his knowledge of his plants are impressive! Pls do more episodes with him!!! XOXO from another Singapore boy here 😀
The way Ryan was looking at him during the intro to the video. I know those kind of eyes! Ha! It’s like a mixture of admiration, respect & kindness; but that smile hides something else perhaps 😈😉 jk
One thing made me an instant fan of Ryan: not buying into the variegated craze. I don't particularly find them more attractive than the regular versions of the same plants, and the variegation also makes growing the plant in a bright environment annoying
Omg ❤this is the cutest video 📹 yall are inlove! Go on a date! Favorite episode ever! Omg next episode is at his house that is the date woot woot 🙌 he is so smooth, fast worker.
Your content is always so intesting and light hearted. Its my therapy. Love the way your guest is so organised! GIves me inspiration! Thank you guys! would LOVE to see his Begonia's!
Shout out from your follower from SG, someone new to the fascinating world of planting. Just because a Feng Shui master said I have too much earth, so much that I should avoid planting or touching the soil, I never touched planting all my life until recent years (thanks to Covid). I plant Caladiums, Syngoniums, ever dried up an Alocasia Amazonica...am learning to plant as many varieties as I could to keep my plants happy...now waiting for my first Monstera from a good friend. Thanks for the content and building a community around the world, around planting.
One of my favorite videos ! I watched it like 3 times lol. I love the little plant garages or like a little private garden space that you can rent out …. So cool ! I wish we had something like that here in the states …. Hmmmm maybe that’s a good idea to start one 😉
Very nice video. The gardener is so, so easy to listen to: so pleasant, so calm, so informal and so knowledgeable at the same time. The exchange between Sean and the garden was so conversational yet full of information for the viewer.
That Jet Lee smile is quite charming .😀😀😅💚💕.Enjoying but going to watch many more times to absorb it all. Thanks Shawn !🥰💚 🤎Love n blessings from Botswana!
Awesome video Sean. Your work is worth so much. It’s a pity you can’t be a freelance plant reporter: your vast travels, interest & knowledge of plants, friendly personality & multilingual make you the ideal candidate to sell your videos to the plant industry worldwide. I love all your videos.
Wonderful plants! Enjoyed the tour! Thanks so much Shaun for sharing these great places and people with us! I'm a big fan of your videos! They are very entertaining and informative! Thanks for sharing and happy growing 😊
Wow our garden in bali is beginning to look like that allthough ea havent quite got the variety as you you guys i wish well were working on it love your passion i want to learn heaps about asian plants thankyou so much for this program i”ll look at it as often as i can wow i love it especially you guys being young and knowledgeable l havent lost interest even though im 81 but my daughter is in her early fifties and shes got the tropical back yard its a joke in australia 😂no shes really into the tropical plants and i”m learning but were both very enthusiastic thankyou again darlings ❤
That intro was pro!! Made me soooo look forward to the video!!! Love Ryan! What a charismatic guy! Your subtitle tips are awesome and hilarious.. “Groot?” Lol
How incredible and beautiful plants have Ryan in his garden..so exotic and diferent as the varieties we know..a very interesting and exciting tour.. thanks a lot dear Sean
Wow! There are a lot of plants in this video that are new to me. I find these videos very relaxing. Weren’t you going to have a video with Kunzo Nishihata?
For the lupinum, I noticed that they prefer a solid sturdy pole compared to a mosspole. They didn't really want to cling and roots to a mosepole hence the leaves is not getting bigger.
Shefflera albidobracteata, now Heptapleurum albidobracteatum, is actually from the Philippines, being a Mindanao endemic. Many of the so-called labisias coming in from Indonesia appear to be Ardisia or Discocalyx, and I have seen some that were in reality from the genus Strobilanthes, from an entirely different family. Labisia as a name has become the dumping ground of sellers who can't identify the plants they are getting from the forests.
I almost forgot, the Piper at 0:51 is very likely the unpatterned form of Piper artanthe. And, he is correct: it is a water guzzler. I have been following him in IG for quite some time and haven't seen many of the plants here in his posts. I would have loved to see more of his orchids in the video, though. Also, I neglected to give this episode a thumbs-up so I'm dropping one now!
One of my favorite tours. Ryan is so charming! And, of course, knowledgable. Thank you for taking us along!
Thanks for coming with!

Haha yes, a lovely host he is!
You and Summer Reyne Oaks are the only 2 people I consistently go to watch about plant content!

Ryan is charming and a hottie... I melt whenever he smiles. Oh and I love his passion for plants. 😜
🥰🥰
I feel like I’m intruding something private! 😂
lol we are good friends 😅
He is into him. 😂
The way Ryan was looking at him during the intro to the video. I know those kind of eyes! Ha! It’s like a mixture of admiration, respect & kindness; but that smile hides something else perhaps 😈😉 jk
OH MY GOD THANK GOD I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Same observations here! I can feel there’s connection and tension at the same time! Hahaha
One thing made me an instant fan of Ryan: not buying into the variegated craze. I don't particularly find them more attractive than the regular versions of the same plants, and the variegation also makes growing the plant in a bright environment annoying
I tend to prefer the green forms too. Though the more challenging care for variegated plants tempt me 😀
same. i think most of variegated plants look cluttered and dont look fresh
This chemistry is to die for! Great tour Sean with a beautiful friend!! 💚
Haha Im a jokester and prankster when Im around my friends 😅
Omg ❤this is the cutest video 📹 yall are inlove! Go on a date! Favorite episode ever! Omg next episode is at his house that is the date woot woot 🙌 he is so smooth, fast worker.

Wow! There are a lot of plants in this video that are new to me. I find these videos very relaxing. Weren’t you going to have a video with Kunzo Nishihata?
Yep Mr Kunzo’s video has been filmed but will release around August.
For the lupinum, I noticed that they prefer a solid sturdy pole compared to a mosspole. They didn't really want to cling and roots to a mosepole hence the leaves is not getting bigger.
Oooh interesting… solid surfaces it is then!
i don't know where to focus my gaze at, the plants or Ryan 🤣😂😅

Starting at 21:51, is that a Cyrtosperma coming into frame as the camera pans?
Not entirely sure but looks like a philodendron to me. Not seen a cyrtosperma like that before
Yes Ryan… 😂 “easy on the eyes”
😝😝
Hi what is the material called that has been used for the benches to place the plants on.
Wooh Im not sure… but you can try to direct the question on Ryans instagram @gardenoftaygalaxy
