When you have a about 10 million in a high yield account you are making about 500k on interest annually, which is really kind of easy to live on. that is the world of the super rich. People will also buy these for tissue culture, the issue there is the same with P. spiritus sancti, you want to limit the production to keep the supply low and demand high, but when mass marketers get their hands on it then seedlings are down to about 40.

What is this world like? LMAO
Also, that’s the thing with rare and expensive plants. It always seems like they come down in price a few months later. Should I just wait?!?

In fact, these are all baby's prices compared to how much a bonsai can cost in Japan 😁

I've never heard of the monstera devil monster, what a cool looking plant! I'm not into most monsteras, but I do like the white monster and mint (go figure I like the expensive ones 🙄).
I have a question unrelated to this video. You know a thing or two about scindapsus and yours seem to thrive under your care. I'm hoping to buy a variegated jade scindapsus cutting I found for a good price, but I'm not sure if I should treat it differently than my scindapsus argyraeus. Do you have any tips for a variegated or regular jade scindapsus? My scindapsus is happy and growing quickly, but it's the only one I have so I don't have much experience with them. Thank you in advance!

You got expensive taste LMAO 🤣
As for your question, I LOVE SCINDAPSUS. To be honest, I don’t think you’d need to treat it too differently. For growing medium: I’d use an extra chunky soil mix (succulent soil with additional orchid bark and perlite). I’ve also experimented with doing half leca on bottom and half soil on top. My silver hero loves this, but it’s not necessary.
For humidity: I have mine all in a humidity cabinet. I will say for variegated ones, they will THRIVE with humidity in the 70+ range. What’s also interesting about Scindapsus is how adaptable they are to different growing conditions. No leaf is the same. I’d also make sure it climbs on a moss pole. You’ll get larger leaves and I’ve had better success with maintaining variegation that way.
When buying a variegated cutting, make sure you see a picture of the stem / node. You’ll want to make sure you can see a stripe of variegation or else it may revert on you.
LMK if you have more questions!
