I kind of want to swap a 7.3 into an 80's body. Paint was definitely a big job and needs a lot of work space, but nothing about it was really that hard. Definitely go for it if you can.
@@TheBadTimingClub I’m doing a 1986 ford on a 2005 superduty with a 6.0 on my channel. You should definitely do a diesel one too. Btw, what are the wheel size and width on this truck in the video. And tire size. Thanks.
I enjoyed your truck series. My elderly father is giving me his 90 f150 with 150K miles. It stayed outside uncovered all it’s life in Florida. Good news is no rust, bad news paint, dash and weather striping in very bad shape. I plan to restore over the winter.
Thats cool though that it has some family history. As long as it isn't rusty its not too bad. Come up north and the junkyards will be full of good condition interiors in rusted out trucks.
Y’all this video series is so awesome. I’ve got an 84 F250 that I’ve been mustering up the courage to work on (I’m a woodworker and I’ve done restaurant equipment repair work on stuff like espresso machines) but I have no experience. Thank you for posting informative stuff!
I have a 1985 f250 and I followed your whole build on this truck. So glad to see another video of yall and the truck. These ford bullnose trucks are hard to come by so I'm really loving the content. Please make more videos on this truck. 🙂
@@TheBadTimingClub I have a 86 f150 4x4 with a 302 I’m restoring. It’s taking awhile but your truck videos have inspired me to carry on with it,so thanks for that👍
It has been ~25 minutes since this truck video, when is the next one coming? Just kidding. Glad to see the truck getting used as a truck. Kitchen videos would be great. COVID time is great for home projects.
@@TheBadTimingClub Sadly no bullnoses right now. I had an 84 f150 4wd, and also a 80 f250 4x4. Always got an eye out for another but not many left around Illinois. The 80 I had shipped in from Washington state, so it was super clean.
Yeah seems like most of them got scrapped and there are just not a lot around. Seems like everyone is restoring 70's and 90s trucks now but the 80s are just gone.
Gosh I had forgotten about this! I remember when you guys started on the truck I think almost two years ago now. You've done a fantastic job on the restoration, and the exhaust sounds awesome! Really makes me want to get my own bull nose Ford again.
Yeah, I think its been 2 years. It has been a lot of fun and the old v8 sounds are awesome. Just seems a little loud for our quiet neighborhood sometimes.
Just curious if you ever put a timing light on it or messed with the mixture screws on the carb? It sounds ok, but maybe pull a plug and see if she’s rich or lean. Great bullnose resto though!!
Thanks for watching! Do you have many old Fords in germany? If not we could do a trade deal. You send us a cool euro car we can't get here (I like fast station wagons) and we can send you a truck.
Re: tinkering forever - That's what my 88 Bronco II is like. Constantly doing things like a custom wood dash panel, putting in seats from newer cars, adding little things here and there but never actually finishing the big, necessary stuff.
Would love to but unfortunately youtube isn't the fulltime job and we just don't have time to start another full restoration. We will try to do some more work on our truck though.
I've got an 89 with the 7.5l. Can't run it because my dad cracked the intake manifold where the coolant enters the engine. Apparently that part is very hard to find
The full intake manifold or the little elbow that bolts to the manifold and the radiator hose clamps onto? Either of those should be pretty easy to come by. You may have to go for a performance manifold if you want a new one though.
@@TheBadTimingClub I tired an edelbrock manifold and they arent making them anymore . When they were it was 700 bucks . It was the actual manifold . Not the elbow . But it's right where the elbow attaches . I have a guy going to repair it today . Says he can weld it up.
been following since the beginning I love this truck. I need to restore mine.
Thanks! What do you have and what does it need?
I have a 92 f350 7.3 dually. It just needs paint and loved and a 95 f150 which is my problem child.

You guys should be proud that truck looks killer
Thanks, we have a lot of fond memories of our time with it. Hoping it lasts another 35 years now.
Loving this new John Wick look
Haha I was going for a Keanu Reeves but slightly less good looking and far less successful look
Also love the truck

Thanks for following! We will be doing some videos on restoring the tailgate soon which should be pretty in depth.
Nice wholesome content.
Haha thanks
Even when things don’t pan out, you still got to drive a sweet old Ford. I wish mine had good oil pressure 😆
Yeah thats true. Any day cruising around in the truck ends up being a fun day.
Re: oil pressure, see our older videos 😅
If your ever in nc I got a tailgate that will fit that truck in decent condition, same color pattern too.
Sweet old Ford. I followed the rebuild sweet to see it on the road🤘
Thanks for following along! We have a lot of fun driving it now. Do you have one?

Haha yes. Maybe we will post some updates on the kitchen then. Its been a pretty extensive project.
Good job guys. Every time I see a new video makes me want to get another one of these trucks
Thanks. Glad we can inspire some love for the often forgotten bullnose. What do you have?

Nice vid guys, I’ve been following since the beginning of the truck build, you may remember me I changed my picture tho
Yes, glad to see you are still around! Thanks for following!
Sweet ford bud I am trying to save up for a 79 with the 460 2wd
The 460 is a beast. Have you found a specific one you want? There were so many cool color combos too.
Yep
@@TheBadTimingClub it has been sitting about seven years in A field near where I live it’s a 79 460 automatic 2wd I am kinda sad it is not 4x4 though
Yes do the 24 hour camera
Haha alright. I'll see what I can get set up.
Could you please do another rebuild video on a old Ford like a 78 or 79 or a 90s body style please

great job on everything. Homer? Courtland?

Why does he sit so close to the steering wheel? Looks like a little old lady driving.
Maybe if I get some cowboy boots with tall heels I can reach the pedals from farther back.
We had a bunch of tools behind the seat though.
