Will This FORGOTTEN Big Block Ford F250 Run and Drive After 11 Years? - Vice Grip Garage EP77
Вставка
- Опубліковано 3 чер 2020
- This Big Block Ford F-250 Pickup truck has been sitting in the trees for 11 years now. She's got a 460, and 4 wheel drive. Once a beloved truck, after some rust issues surfaced, it was parked for something more reliable. I fight mice eating wires, a stuck engine, locked wheels, no brake lines, and a host more on this one! Think this sleeping giant will start and run once again? **All debris and garbage were picked up before departing. Ruts caused by the tires were backfilled and tamped**.

Yes ! Got peeper's on this one and my cold snack in my hand!
This guy might be the only UA-cam channel that actually makes me laugh out loud almost every episode. Pure gold.
Since finding this channel, I've actually taken to saying "I don't know" in Dereks distinct way all the time.

what a great episode. I love coming back to rewatch these old gems while waiting on new content. the commentary absolutely makes it. I already knew that but i realized the same video feed without the hilarious commentary just would be no comparison. thats what makes this channel unique.
The egg sandwich and cardinal moment was hilarious. Derek your deadpan delivery is absolutely perfect and very funny man. Thanks for keeping a guy entertained. This cold snack is for you.

Classic Derek from 2 years ago (when I am watching this for the first time)...and he was already pretty d___n good, and funny, at doing these resuscitation, resurrection, make 'em semi-road-trip-ready videos. And now he's coming up on 1.4 million Subscribers and he and Jessica just starred in the debut on their new Motor Trend show on the Motor Trend Channel on YT, "Roadworthy Rescues". From 80 to 96 ford decided to make all of their truck bodies out of paper Mâché. When the truck gets wet it falls apart
As an old Ford guy from the early 70's, and wrenched on most of them from late 60's up to early 2000's Watching you delve into the mysteries of Ford Vacuum driven accessories, and air pumps for emissions standards at the time was hilarious and also I felt a pang of pity for you. Best thing to do, is rip it all off, plug the holes, hook up a pump down vacuum gauge, and plug whatever leaks are left. It will run much better after that. But your AC or vent controls won't work, nor defrost settings etc. The only cars worse than mid to late 70 Fords were Dastun B-210's!!! with the vacuum nonsense. Really enjoyed this, and yes, everything has to be different with Ford.
Do not give up. I have a 1985 that I bought a few weeks ago, and I was hopping I would learn what to do thru your ...... experience. Thank you for sharing.

Dunno I call mine Chimera - Google it. Good nice way of saying it's a bitzer kept running from organ donors. (Old Fords never die, they become organ donors) along with ashes to ashes, dust to dust if it wasn't for GMH my tools would surely rust
It still has good ball joints unlike mine.
The thing about Ferds, is that you wanna overfill the fluids so that when you get a few miles down the road, they’ll level out on account of the massive leaks they all have
These VGG episodes are like wine they get even better with age.
Just love how humble this guy is :)))
Vice grip made my day with the 2 stones one bird line

boy Ford went crazy on the emissions devices back then lol . that thing should produce breathable air out the tailpipe with all that!
My 92 had a blown head gasket and i put gt40p heads on it and deleted all the emissions. No smog hollowed cats breathes a lot better and has like 80hp increase
Yeah, changed out the headers on mine to get rid of the octopus/rat's nest/metal-facehugger emissions crap coming off of the exhaust (that you can see in the video)! Ugh!
Smog pump California truck restriction looks like
Years ago a friend of mine had an 85 crown Victoria. Omfg you couldn't see the motor for all the vacuum lines and emissions crap. Another reason Ford makes me nauseous. Chevrolet did the same thing but to a MUCH lesser degree

It dirtier than a Miley Cyrus video
A mechanic once found a golf tee whilst servicing a customers Rolls Royce, not knowing what it was he kept it until the customer came to collect his car. The mechanic gave the customer the tee, explaining he had found it and ask what it was, the customer replied, oh there used to rest your balls on before driving off, the mechanic was stunned, he said “amazing, those men at Rolls Royce just think of everything don’t they.”

A guy can't get enough of Derek, watch a video every night, gives me motivation for the day ahead. Love me some vice grip garage!
One can only imagine how rusty it would have been without the "super seal" on it. lol
If it's that rubberized stuff, it makes rust worse. Usually gets sprayed on and traps moisture between itself and the vehicle, making it turn even faster. Most mechanics recommend fluid film, but thankfully I drive a Chevy, and it just automagically dumps all kinds of lubricant on the chassis by design.
Reminds me of an IH Scout I saw one time that had a Ziebart sticker in the window, with the back of the body falling off of it.
