whats your view on conjugate system on muay thai/kickboxing? I've felt heavy weight days has left me slower/less explosive in training the next few days, espcially as you got to be explode alot when hitting pads
I think the Condensed Conjugate System can work really well for Muay Thai. The biggest thing to think about is to not go so hard on your accessories that it leaves you fatigued for muay thai training. Remember, the goal is to stimulate strength increases, but not annihilate yourself so that you cant train. Hope this answer is helpful for you!
You should wait after you lift heavy to move quickly so you can recover. For example, you would put dynamic effort squat at least 72 hours after max effort squat so you can recover and move fast. That's going to be tough to deal with since that means not trying to be explosive in training for three days.
@@cainmorano4956 In an ideal world, yes having a 72 hour gap between the two would be awesome! Not every athlete has that luxury based on their sport training, so adjustments can be made for different circumstances 👍🏽
I think most dudes going wrong training way too hard for their sport everyday when they could take a high-med-low or high-low approach and have the s&c match the skill work so like LiSS cardio+ shadow boxing/tech work …strength + hard/med sparring/power shot focus …but dudes will do strength work twice a week and go balls to the wall every day they train skills 5-6x a week and still not eat sleep or hydrate right lmao and then blame S&C work
I think most combat sports athletes just don’t understand programming period. A lot of people are living in an archaic world where running 10 miles a day at 5am is the only way
Hey, coach. I'm an mma athlete, sure conjugate is the way 100%, but I find with LB/UB twice each it's to fatiguing, especially if you add some reps work as well, so by my experience conjugate ×3 per week is best, what do you think? Thx a lot!
Yup! That works too! I suggest watching my most recent upload about the Conjugate Method. It breaks down everything you need to know much better than I did in this video.
Wow bro thank you I purchased the book and it’s like Chinese. All those pages for you to break down in 10 sec 4 days work outs
the books are pretty dense lol. Glad to hear this video helped!
