What's in My Collection? Episode4: Guns 'N' Roses

I take a look at two albums dear to my heart from the first band I every really loved and sought out material from, Guns 'N' Roses: Use Your Illusion I & II. This type of release strategy of a double album of music to the market place with few singles (three prior and many after release) was a gamble for Geffen to make. It paid off but did not keep GnR in the public eye because tastes had shifted to the 90's sound of Grunge, Rap, Electronic music, and Proto-Indie Rock. The themes discussed throughout both albums are still in the public consciousness today and are some of the bands best song writing of all time, but could not propel the band to longer term success.
