I was honestly surprised. The first time I heard about the giveaway, I immediately had to look at their sub count. I would have thought they were well past 1m by now.
Thank you for keeping side jacks. Not everyone is building pedal boards. I just jangle around and make riffs in my home so side jacks are just more comfortable. Also, this show is one of the greatest shows in entertainment. It’s more fun than anything Hollywood is putting out.
Animals is an incredible company! They make affordable clones/tweaked circuits that are quality and have cute graphics. It's a shame you couldn't show the Tioga Cycling Distortion, that one's a sweeeet Rat clone. I'm assuming it was sold out because it's so good.
FYI about the Tioga Road Cycling Club (awesome rat) -- Tioga Road is a high-altitude road in Yosemite National Park, California, USA I've been there and it's gorgeous. LOVE this pedal, as well as the Infinity Bender
38:20 Lovely envelope filter - sounds similar to one of my personal favourites - the beloved and discontinued DOD reissue! Wonderful with compression and overdrive, too.
Lee, a polarbear's fur is indeed transparent, but their skin is actually black...the hairs are hollow which makes them scatter light and appear white-ish.
Hello. Bought this I was a wolf in the forest pedal few weeks ago and I love it. It’s really a wolf on a good way. Very punchy, clear and defined with strong but not flabby bass, very nice (beautiful) and strong midrange and, sweet top end not harsh. The tone is usable all the way thru the sweep of the pot. Works equally well on my clean and dirty amps. It does something great to dirty amps and to other od and distortion pedals. All about the mids which are voiced on a very pleasant spot to my ears. Love it.
I've been really curious about Animals pedals for a couple years now, but never came across proper demos for them. Every single one of them sounds amazing, and the controls seem super useful, they're affordable, the artwork is so cool, and they match the color scheme of my board! All of a sudden I need like 3 of these pedals
@Andertons Music Co Oh finally you have a demo of these! I already have 3 of them, the Car Crush in its Vibe mode is great. Addictive pedals not just for the good sounds, but as you pointed out several times, their art work is unique. Cheers!
The 1927 Home Run King Comp is a tribute to a famous baseball picture of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig two baseball hall of famers. I use it as a piece of art work in my office.
Funny - When I heard about your "when we reach 1M subs" giveaway, my first thought was "They DON'T have 1M subscribers?!?" Love your content, even though we've inconveniently got an ocean between us.
It would be interesting to compare the Jhs Morning Glory to the Animals Vintage Van Overdrive pedal. The blues breaker circuit used inside the Animals Pedals seems to have more available gain
I had; I was a Wolf in the Forrest. As a typical guitarist, it was just taking a quick ride in my overdrive spot on my pedalboard, onto the next thing lol.
5:10 the only polar bear "fun" fact I know is their livers have a TON of vitamin A, so much so that if you ate even part of one, you could get vitamin A poisoning and die... Is this the fun fact you were thinking of? Lol
These sound pretty damn good! Super nice for the price! Cool! Skreddy Pedals is a small boutique pedal maker, best known for their Big Muff variants. A couple of their older discontinued pedals go for pretty high prices. Pink Flesh and also the Mayo. Both sort of collectable and were discontinued because the chips were no longer available and the builder couldn't get the exact sound without them.
Bill Murry's favorite pedals, I shit you not ! (Except for his all time favorite Skreddy's Screwdriver Mini Deluxe. ) Rumor has it he meet Tomokazu Kawamura while making Lost in Translation.
This was like watching a Strymon video: every single pedal sounds fantastic. These guys have found some magic with these. Although always temper your expectations unless you can play like Pete (you can't). :)
I used some of these. The compressor is first on my board. I have a TS808, but sometimes it feels too distorted so I'll reach for my Surfing Bear and run it to me Surfy Bear.
I really liked the surfing bear sound but installed in my pedal chain it gave a signal buzz even if it was off. No other pedal has been like that ive owned. Maybe it was made on a friday.
there were some Laney flavours in there. I bet, you get couple p90ties and whip early Sabbath from that. Anyway, there is not really that much between Marshall SLP and Laney Supergroup.
Great content as always. Have you considered using an A/B switch when swapping guitars so much? Just thinking you’ll wear out the guitar jacks in no time like this!
Love the Pedals, I love your videos, You guys both play great! Pete's a wizard of course! What is the Purple Tele type guitar Pete's playing I didn't catch the name? It sounded like he said he put his pickups in it? Also are they available and the price of the guitar! Thanks again guys. Peace!
Not 100% but I think they are made in China. Seems they are sold in Japan by Lep International, which has a factory in China. They are not super open about it on their own site, but for some collab pedals the place of origin is listed as China on other sites, and in the manuals that come with the pedals Lep International is described as the official importer. Interesting brand though
What a great sounding bunch of pedals! And they look so cool, with that artwork.
Seriously how are these guys not at 1m yet? The best gear content!
I was honestly surprised. The first time I heard about the giveaway, I immediately had to look at their sub count. I would have thought they were well past 1m by now.
Because obviously there are a lot of folks who just haven't clued in yet sadly .
Pete's scream at 19:09 had me in tears of laughter 😂😂😂😂
I've got the vintage van overdrive. I love it. So glad to see Animals getting some love.
Thank you for keeping side jacks. Not everyone is building pedal boards. I just jangle around and make riffs in my home so side jacks are just more comfortable. Also, this show is one of the greatest shows in entertainment. It’s more fun than anything Hollywood is putting out.

You guys are the best at reviewing gear. So fun to watch! I love that Pete still has to have a purple guitar. Epic.
FYI about the Tioga Road Cycling Club (awesome rat) -- Tioga Road is a high-altitude road in Yosemite National Park, California, USA I've been there and it's gorgeous. LOVE this pedal, as well as the Infinity Bender
I could listen to peter play all day.
Animals pedals kick ass!
I love the Rust Rod Fuzz!!
38:20 Lovely envelope filter - sounds similar to one of my personal favourites - the beloved and discontinued DOD reissue! Wonderful with compression and overdrive, too.
I love these pedals. I've got my Surfing Bear pedal with the original design from when they first came out. It might be worth money some day.
Lee, a polarbear's fur is indeed transparent, but their skin is actually black...the hairs are hollow which makes them scatter light and appear white-ish.
Bjorn Juhl operated as BJFE for boutique hand made pedals and was heavily involved with Mad Professor pedals. That's a quality pedigree!

When Pete screamed at 19:08 I literally spat my drink out 😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Cool pedals ! Pete & the Captain are the best reviewers on the planet !
So happy to see this today, been looking at animals pedals for awhile. So nice to see an excellent demo on them. Now my problem is I want them all
Same boat as you. All the demos I've seen are in Japanese. STOKED to see this video!
Nice. What the world needs now are pedals, sweet pedals.

I finally caved, I liked and subscribed.
Love the major overdrive….and if you do ever get t-shirts done count me in
@Andertons Music Co Oh finally you have a demo of these! I already have 3 of them, the Car Crush in its Vibe mode is great. Addictive pedals not just for the good sounds, but as you pointed out several times, their art work is unique. Cheers!
Dude I love Animals pedals!! My first one was the van one, SO nice!
Walrus Audio and Animal Pedals make the coolest looking pedals!
I’m not sure what Pete’s drinking, it looks like liquid mustard and he seems to have a love hate relationship with it. Pedals are killer!
You are correct about polar bears. Its why those in captivity look slightly yellow as the reflection off the fur is discoloured by the concrete
The 1927 Home Run King Comp is a tribute to a famous baseball picture of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig two baseball hall of famers. I use it as a piece of art work in my office.
Bathtime reverb sounds amazing
Funny - When I heard about your "when we reach 1M subs" giveaway, my first thought was "They DON'T have 1M subscribers?!?" Love your content, even though we've inconveniently got an ocean between us.
Oh my god! Bear is surfing! How can that BE?!
It would be interesting to compare the Jhs Morning Glory to the Animals Vintage Van Overdrive pedal. The blues breaker circuit used inside the Animals Pedals seems to have more available gain
a poster of all the artwork would be great.... i'd buy a couple.
Those look awesome! The Sunday fuzz and reverb sound LLcooltones. They all sound good, but those two were the bees knees.
I love how Pete was trying so hard to get in big muff and rusty rod jokes.
Been some time, when I liked whole lineup of (mostly) dirt pedals from company, where I was like "I need that in my life"
Those fuzzes sounds great!
Word of the day: Nyotaimori
I feel like Pete went off and bought a few of those pedals straight after the video.
I had; I was a Wolf in the Forrest. As a typical guitarist, it was just taking a quick ride in my overdrive spot on my pedalboard, onto the next thing lol.

Of course! Juhl like Yuletide/Christmas! I get it

The Rover and the Rust Rod are also in the Skreddy lineup. These seem like mass-produced versions, but sound fantastic.
Absolutely love Animal pedals!
These pedals look & sound lush. Might have to get a couple of those fuzz style pedals.
Gotta love the stank faces at 29:17
Very Cool Demo/Review Thankyou. Nice Sounds.
My nearby guitar shop has the fishing fuzz pedal. I want to try it!
another great review , not a bad pedal in the lot. PS Tioga Pass is the eastern entrance to Yosemite National Park.
Danish Pete became the greatest modern tele guy on earth after this video. For today at least.😊👍🏿
Something with muff is fun. 😄
Had the vibe from Japan ! Great pedal
Love this upload, anytime I can over indulge in some Pete Purple Tele playing, I’m all in. Lee looks tan as heck by the way.
Bill Murry's favorite pedals, I shit you not ! (Except for his all time favorite Skreddy's Screwdriver Mini Deluxe. ) Rumor has it he meet Tomokazu Kawamura while making Lost in Translation.
i saw a limited edition of the bath reverb with some anime on it. almost bought it a few months ago based on that lol
OK, but when will the One Control demos be posted? :D
First five pedals on the screen and the second one from the left had my OCD in overdrive!!
Put on headphones, crank up the volume, enjoy! 19:09
🤣
great review! still... missing : In oct, 3 foxes talking of dreamy fuzz!
This was like watching a Strymon video: every single pedal sounds fantastic. These guys have found some magic with these. Although always temper your expectations unless you can play like Pete (you can't). :)

I’m still confused how did you make the guitar sound like that in the first place without any petal
The Wolf sounds like a Marshall to me. Has a big low end thump, similar to a cranked Marshall. AFAIK, Hiwatt were better known for massive headroom.
there were some Laney flavours in there. I bet, you get couple p90ties and whip early Sabbath from that.
Anyway, there is not really that much between Marshall SLP and Laney Supergroup.
@@stanislavmigra Could well be the case.
The Andertons website says "Black and gold stacks" Surely that must be Marshall
Great content as always. Have you considered using an A/B switch when swapping guitars so much? Just thinking you’ll wear out the guitar jacks in no time like this!
Sunday afternoon is infinity? I haven’t gone on that kind of a bender for a long time.
The captain reappears! I thought i didn't need any more pedals....
I was a wolf in a forest sounds like my old HiWatt DR103 with a TS pedal in front back in 83-85. Ha ha
There is a pedal with Alfons Åberg on it?! I will get it I don't care what it does 😆👍
Haha. I love bossa nova. - Can you do a Blues Brothers "bringing the band together" episode?
I was so confused how this was related to Surfy Bear...
Sounds great!
I love this company
The surfbear is in the "Tube" with a "Screaming " overdrive holding his "670 frq" nose.
This might be the best sounding pedals I’ve ever heard… and I’m extremely picky… lol
Anyone knows what tele is that? Couldn't understand the name and i love how it sounds!
Peace!
Sorry I found it on your site: Seth Baccus Shoreline T, Right? Sounds awesome.
So cool Wes Anderson entered the guitar pedal market.. true genius
Do a review on the O.C.E wrench fuzz
I know about “easy” like Sunday morning :) maybe the solo id what they are referencing. Easy, but more like the afternoon
By the way, it goes like this:
Call: Mock-
Response: Yeah!
Call: Ing
Response: Yeah!
Call: Bird
Response: Yeah!
Call: Yeah
Response: Yeah!
Car crush chorus /vibe super pedal well worth having use through a Fender deluxe amp PRS S2 standard guitar Gibson LP standard very cool
Do I need more pedals? No. Am I buying more pedals? Yes.
Tender Bone was great for instead the Tone Bender.
pete sure had the sniffies....🏂
I think I want an all Animals pedalboard
They sound like lots of fun. You mentioned that the pedal company is Japanese, but are the pedals made in Japan or somewhere else?
Not 100% but I think they are made in China. Seems they are sold in Japan by Lep International, which has a factory in China. @@Vertigo504 thanks for that!
Did Pete just go... "en lille barnevogn"?
Where is the link to Bossanova City?
listen to that clean up! 17:54. sweet.
Everybody have you heard, he's gonna buy me a Mockingbird. I like the Aretha version but JT and Carly Simon did a good version too.
What purple tele is this?
Surprised that Surfybear (makes mechanical spring reverb units) hasn’t C/D’d animal effects over that surfing bear name
My thoughts exactly
It’s not close enough for them to do anything
Came to say this.
Pretty sure the ninevolt/animals pedals came first.
Air testicles is right for the fishing fuzz. How can something so clean sound so dirty?
1927 is when Babe Ruth became the homerun King. Oh, these pedals are Awesome.
“ I have hay fever” lol
Pete's sense of humour has drifted into creep territory...
I already don't want any of them because they put the power jack directly next to the audio input jack.
....I've never had a lentil on my face....still laughing..lol
Hey Lee, that “cat with a robbers mask” is called a raccoon… lmao also referred to as a trash panda/bandit.
Oh please, gentleman would you please stop feeding the pedal addiction? JK. Keep them coming!
