Props to you for coming up with a suspension system that's not too complicated, and doesn't have the wheels on subgrids controlled by scripts. That's actually genius. Rather than making the Rover wider and thus having to make buildings wider to fit it in should you want a garage or something, you came up with a smart solution to a very common problem, and I love that.
@@bolland83 True, but I was referring to typical suspension that has the wheels on a subgrid with pistons and/or hinges allowing that grid to move. In this, the wheels themselves aren't on a subgrid. I should reword my original comment I suppose.
The gyro tilt compensation is such a fascinating solution to a common problem! Amazing. And the adaptive weight distribution is excellent too. I look forward to dissecting its inner workings. Bravo.
Luca's reviews of any space engineer videos are cringy and insulting to the design and aesthetic these creators pour their detailed effort into. You are in the right for this and your content is stellar imo!
As someone who has spent exactly zero amount of time on a public server, I could not give the same amount of shits about PCU. So her reviews are absolutely worthless to me. I build just to build and maybe play on a private server with a few friends. But even that is a rarety these days for me.
I would LOVE a guide on better wheel settings for rovers. They’re my favorite thing to build, but I swear I can’t figure out some of the rhyme or reason to some of the sliders. Your guide for subgrids helped clear up a LOT for me.
This is so dang cool, the gyro compensation, the drill to refill, and tilt alarm. Best rover functionality I’ve seen, and it looks great doing it. Will deff be adding this to the collection!
Well well well... I might dare to drive rovers again after all, with these new systems to keep it from getting flipped over. ;) Very nice build, I'm glad to have helped with it. And of course, a very happy New Year 2024.
I love your work and use many of your blueprints in game, I did put on the workshop a version of your mark 1 Atlas modified for cargo, and I always credit the original creator of any modified build I post. I don't usually credit the inspiration for a creators builds unless its one of my own creations.
For me that kind of sounds the way that is ok to me and most other creators. Some noticeable own changes and credit given is the way to go if you want a modified for personal needs reupload of a blueprint. If you are not sure if it is ok just put it to private or ask the original creator.
Pro tip: If are serious about running rovers, the 'Smooth Voxels' mod will make your life 420% easier. (Internally, all this mod is doing is removing the "SurfaceDetail" feature from all the planets at startup.)
Mate the gyro anti tip assist thingy is very clever. If its not too long, could you reply with a short explanation of how ti works? Or if you've made a video about it, could you point me to it? I'd like to learn more but need to be shown more than you were able to in this video. This is a slick rover! I love building small grid deep derrick drilling rovers with extending/collapsing piston arms. These rovers fill up real quick, and I'm often filling three large small grid cargo containers on a frame 7 small blocks wide using 3x3 wheels to keep the load closer to the ground. Incorporating something like what you've built into this rover could be a game changer for me.
When I modify something I like, I take a new blueprint and add things like a repair projector and upload it. Not sure if its published. Certainly not bothering to write a description and whatnot. This looks cool but doesn't seem all that practical. Good rp kind of vehicle :)
What is the Automated Doors script called? I can't seem to find it on the Steam workshop. Amazing design, I'm finding myself liking designs and making them, (printing them), in the MP server I'm on, then to discover that most of them are all your designs. :)
Is it possible if you could add a hitch on the back and different types of trailers to attach to it how long hauls, relocations, or science expeditions?
how easy would it be to upgrade the storage to the q-tech utilities version for more capacity? also how well would this take to using Isy's inventory management script?
Do you have any way to teach how to better make rovers? I feel like I always end up making something super wide, just to make sure I don't tip (and yet I still tip over)!
Really awesome design, i found his artwork too and inspired a large grid mobile base rover from his arlas artwork aswell 😂 I think you should add a trailer with the same stability system 👌 Luca is cringe with voiceover imo i cant stand the furry catweeb voice immediately big turnoff
If it is a 1:1 reupload clearly no! What should be the reason for this? But if significant changes and own effort are made, me and most other creators do tolerate it.
Relevant own effort and changes + credit, that is the requirement i and most other original creators set to tolerate reuploads. And thats just fine to us since sometimes others even do nice improvements we can learn from too. But a 1:1 reupload even with credit is just pointless.
@@kkguitar94 Well, first of all: How about upload date of mine vs the reuploads? And also who exactly said you as the one who downloads a bp needs to know?
Omg I want one! It's gorgeous! Can't wait to see what you create in 2024 ❤🫡 p.s. how I would love to see an adaptive off-road function like your design integrated with the air subscription for my Jeep..

It does use subgrids though, the pendulum.

The design is practical and gorgeous... but that adaptive suspension system is brilliant. Very nicely done!

Pretty cool how the armour is wrapped around giving the windows the angled look 👌
the s e comunity never ceases to amaze me some one is all ways making somthing epic
This thing is awesome, I never Drive sutch a smoot Rover in space engineers!
Thats quiet a detailed vehicle you built which is pretty cool. I dont tend to use many land vehicles as I tend to PVP mostly in space.
That gyro tilt contraption is exactly what i was looking for! brilliant

That is a dope & detailed rover i used that this yr.
That is a beautiful model with amazing features!
It looks so good I didn’t believe it was space engineers at first
The gyro solution in the back of the Atlas mk2 is actually interestingly enough really similar to the brennan monorail design
Oh. my. God... This is truly overkill. I absolutely love it!
holy shit that gyro system reminds me of a similar system for an older gyro train design, thats really advanced yet simple at the same time, awesome!
Damn what an ingenius design of those custom systems. I love it!
Great engineering job!

Would love a bp of just the adaptive suspension controller setup and weight shifting controller since im still learning the game.
Oh yeah, if it was my BP I'd definitely care too. I'm sure Luca had no idea it wasn't yours but you're definitely in the right to be annoyed.

Hmmm while looking at this I see the problem with re-uploads of creations but would it still be a problem if they give credit to the original creator?
If it is a 1:1 reupload clearly no! What should be the reason for this?

why no more SE videos now ?
People who re-upload or modify with credit are fine, but those who present it as their own work as really awful and dishonest people.

Hey. I made large grid verion block for block for the outter shell, but i didnt upload it. I would love to show it to you if you have interest.
There is a showcase channel on my discord that linked under my videos.
Since you rebuilt it in lg there is no reason to not upload it. ;)
I mean thats luca for you, not only do they insult other peoples builds and praise their own they can't be bothered to check their sources.
Wanting credit for your work is not a bad thing. Re-uploading without crediting the original is plagiarism.
