They need to have him be in Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. If they can do it well with Hasselhoff, they have do it with Willem, have him be the goblin on stage.
@@ultrabeastjigsaw5313 I don’t think it’s the voice itself that sounds great lol but the emotion in his voice. I liked it a lot. Something about it is really interesting. But yes not the best sounding voice lol
I’d give anything to see this now. The past few months this has been a gift and even though it’s long gone and never being shown live again I just wish there was a recording of the whole work
I saw this in Salford...amazing performance. I did kinda think though that maybe he should have played the joker in batman rather than the green goblin!
Even if I haven't been researching this insane woman for the last few days and accidently came upon this drivel mistakenly called 'art,' I still would have thought, "What the Hell is this and why is Willem Dafoe screeching like a cat?"
As I can see from the comments, some people just can't feel the state of mind, and for that reason can't call this art. It is your own problem if you don't feel, not the artist.
I went to this performance and it was genuinely incredible. I'm not really in to my surreal performance art, in fact this was the first I'd seen and it truly was amazing. If anyone can find a full length video of it then I would definitely recommend watching it from beginning to end and then say it hasn't changed their life.
i would have loved to see this live. marina and her art has opened me up to the gorgeous word of perfomance and expression art. she has helped in ways she will never know. thankyou marina
the music is by William Basinski and it is transcendent, as is Willem Dafoe's performance! He was brilliant and mesmerizing. The entire Robert Wilson opera was stunning and a triumph!
Beautiful, stunning set...content = self indulgent...performance = 7/10...the poor quality of the content and performances (mostly hers) cannot be hidden behind high production values (visuals and technology)...
Or the studios are stupid or what ??? They are letting go one of the best jokers performances. He’s is the joker , the most beautiful joker that the world wants to see
beautiful music-- I love the Disintegration Loops for its sound, not its politics of co-opting a tragedy but whatever-- but William Defoe sounds a little flat which is super disappointing, makes it kind of self-indulgent in a way. I wish Antony Hagerty had sung this part, in fact I hope he sings some of this show, or I hope Mr. Defoe improves! anyway this is pretty cool-- hope to see it.
how beautiful, very precise, very intricate, very whimsical, so magical! only Marina & Bob could portray a MASTERPIECE like this very performance! le ART magnifique!
This is so disturbing... Creepy af. I need to go pray now.
I love William Dafoe as an actor, but his singing is great too
Deaf?

We need him as Joker right now

Imagine those two people as your mom and dad.
Don't take drugs ! ;-)
I watched this whole ass video high as a kite
Y'all need Jesus

Man, Oingo Boingo don't make music like they used to...

Damn right!!
👍 yep
what the hell did I just watch? Bye bye!
Youre ignorant self, that is what you saw.
armand perrenet
You should look up spirit cooking. ..that's what these people are into. ..sick!
backing track is the disintegration loops by william basinski if anyone is wondering
Thanks.
I thought it sounded familiar! Was it made for this play or just picked up?
that's actually william dafoe singing - not robert wilson (the director) who is not on stage !
Bye by Marina!!! ^^^^
Where is John "Skippy" Podesta and the pizza party Marina?
This play reminded me of Mr. Burns: A Post Electric Play.
She's a man. Willem's a woman.
Background track from:
William Basinski - The Desintegration Loops
Bye bye marina.🙋🏼..bye bye satan.🙋🏼..bye bye evil🙋🏼
hello light and love and my lord jesus christ
shut the fuck up
*one eye 👁 covered in profile picture *
Bye bye prostitute 👋, hello my little pony 🐴
Hail Satan!
I saw this in Salford...amazing performance. I did kinda think though that maybe he should have played the joker in batman rather than the green goblin!
His performance is the reason why we still love green goblin. Forget joker, he is the only green goblin for me yet.
Is it too much to ask for both?
Wow… just absolutely beautiful
I guess he can just do anything
Even if I haven't been researching this insane woman for the last few days and accidently came upon this drivel mistakenly called 'art,' I still would have thought, "What the Hell is this and why is Willem Dafoe screeching like a cat?"
Amen
Who are you to define what Art is?
Satanism?
Do you even know what Satanism is?
Već viđeno na Bitefu 1983.
Mnogi su riknuli pa se ne sećaju.
Ali ih to čeka..i plaše se predstave.
Bob se *ponovio* a Marin ga poči..do kraja.
10 years ago, holy fuck
this is not real life, this is a space where art is performed. feel the difference.
william basinski yey
Robert Wilson works on pictures/ imagse-driven direction. He treats performance as series of continues moving images.
I wish they were my mom and dad
no.... you don't
Oh my.
The brainwashed ignorance really knows no bounds.
Jesus is Coming soon to defeat Evil!
i hope this shit is vile, the opposite of what art should be.
It’s been 2 years and he still hasn’t returned. I don’t think he’s coming pookie
What is this play about?
I love this song
As I can see from the comments, some people just can't feel the state of mind, and for that reason can't call this art. It is your own problem if you don't feel, not the artist.

Well look up spirit cooking. ..😱 with them in it
so good
Need this song tho.. anyone know if one can get it somehow?
Disintegration loops by William Basinski
@@marinablack181 Merci' 😘
Cette vidéo est tout simplement magnifique. Marina est quelqu'un d'extraordinaire. Bravo de France!
Her look feels highly evocative of the great Leigh Bowery
Ne znam sa ovim porukma a gugle prevodi na crnogosko turski ili sam ja pijana pa ste me zbunili do pocetka
Can't thank you enough for posting it :-) All the very best, pal!
music is william basinski's disintegration loops
He’s jacked
@merfwriter makes it all the more gutteral though..doesn't it..

yea, pretty annoying
the music is from "hey girl" by Romeo Castellucci
Jup who was first 😊
Does anyone know the name of the background music in this part? It's actually used in the beginning of Romeo Castellucci's "Hey Girl!" too!
Uh...a lot late, I know, but it’s one of William Basinski’s Disintegration Loops.
And this is why r entire world is heading straight to hell if we don’t change and turn away from our bad ways
Hell doesn’t exist. Quit your bitchin.
What is bad about this?
D:
And all the creeps commented,
"This is Art!"
it is art if you have taken a theater class dummy
@@sketchyanimation8539 never been in theater and I even know this is art👏🏾
You don't know shit, you are just a lemming following the crowd off of a cliff.
What's art for you ?? Cute paintings and pretty statues??? Please, spare us your ignorance.
Bye bye pretention.
Is there somewhere I can find the full performance?
Patrick O'Connor In hell.

Satan is not your friend and you will all lose God wins he made everything
Amen, prayers for our Christ lovers
Sounds like they're using Basinski's Disintegration Loops as background music, and that's pretty cool.
I was thinking the same thing
What a bullshiz
Uau!! That is so amazing!
Leopoldo Vaz Eustáquio
Look up spirit cooking. ..not so great
oh, robert wilson...
watch it one and had this song in my head for days! love it...
Amazing
Sickos
This is the scene of the murrala China?
The set is cool...but is this performance serious?
pretty cool. Melody goes on as a Bruce Springsteen tone I liked that a lot.
Very Alien scenery [magnific]

Yes.
And it's nothing like that. Sigh.
When you only watch and hear this song it doesn't make sense at all but in the context of this beautiful opera it fits perefectly.
@cmbrosteanu Thanks a lot!!

This is amazing! Wish I could see the full performance
where aND when?
koja primitivna baba
Robert Wilsen singing very well
