Joe Henderson's solo is fantastic. He has so many ideas. And he plays a Mark VII Selmer tenor saxophone, not his usual Mark VI Selmer tenor saxophone. It suits him. 😊
Jazz is like a language - you can play it using a small vocabulary. A medium or large or very large vocabulary. This is up there sorted not too shabby at all. You want to hear perfection get Oscar Peterson recordings of when he was 25 years old if you could find them. Not the same to his chubby recordings he was lean and mean then. These guys are up there too. Henderson and Shaw are outstanding.
