Loved your video! I use Krylon UV-Resistant Clear Acrylic Coating first, it doesn’t ruin the design and protects it. I wait 24 hours after spraying and spray with Krylon Triple Thick Crystal Clear Glaze, it gives it a really nice shine and a little depth.

1st video I watched that actually showed how to set (or dry) the tiles with the fire. It made total sense to me. Going to give it a try. After you lit it on fire and applied the colors again, you used a heat gun, but how long would it take if you didnt have a a heat gun?

Sue Bowen I set them on fire cause I it sets the color faster. This was very early on for me actually my first week of alcohol inks. I just like how the fire dries the ink.
I use Kamar Varnish as the first spray coat. It does not alter the pattern. I let it sit for 1 hr. then do 2-3 more coats in 1/2 hr. Then finish with triple thick or I prefer to finish it with a coat of resin.

Hair Dryer? Is that just as good as the fire? I have seizures so the fire would be extra dangerous for me. I would most likely end up setting myself on fire!
You only know you are getting it right when potty mouth comes out.... Beautiful coasters. Have you tried resin with the inks??? I never have, so, don't know if the inks will bleed. Just an idea. Good luck
I like the techniques, but was watching it with my young daughters! Never thought to look at reviews first, so was shocked by the bad language and had to turn it off. So sad.
I usually not offended by a little swearing but normally somebody that makes a tutorial has some respect for their audience. Sad that moms and their kids cant scroll through craft videos without having to hear cuss words. There is a time and place for everything and making a video for all ages to see is just inappropriate in my opinion. Somebody can be real or funny without it .
I don't care for the language either. It shows you don't have an extensive vocabulary. There's no need in this day and age to be offensive and inconsiderant to others. Sure hope there's no children watching this. I know I won't watch your videos again!

And do you cover it with any type of sealant or glaze?

Gail Clark I sealed them with epoxy resin and oh my gosh, they are stunning. Am going to figure out how to make a video collage of the pictures
Hot drinks cannot be put on these coasters without a resin sealer...cups will just stick
