- Some of the more complex shots in the Klaus big final chase required the extra step of Previs. Looks like lot of work, we know. But actually... no, it is . It is a lot of work.

This movie is still an amazing piece of art, all of you guys who worked on it deserve every praise
Ahhh, it's my regularly opportunity to ask the following: When will Klaus be released on Blu-ray please? The viewing experience will be so much better without having to endure Netflix's compression, plus of course I like to collect movies that I love in a physical format, and I really love Klaus. Thank you.
Hi M Jons thanks for your comment! As we said in other occasions to our knowledge there will not be a DVD or a Blu-ray release, but if it happens we will share the news on our social media 😃

@@SlartiMarvinbartfast Netflix rarely does physical releases.
Always struggled to see what's changed in the final comp as opposed to the lighting stage, but this time I can see the lighting on the "lost present" was adjusted to have more of the environment influence it. (As it's lit seemingly with just the torches in mind.)
Guess it goes to show how brilliantly KLaS is able to retain the Colouring Department's contribution instead of having a composting artist (apparently called Director of Photography in Japan?) largely decide the final look. Compositors should keep being awesome though, all jobs deserve equal praise.
P. S. The previs is hilariously jank xD Though of course it doesn't need to be any more polished than that.
One of the best productions I've ever seen. I hope one day to contribute to these projects ❤️✨

Удивил момент, где в постановке кадра участвуют 3д модели персонажей для удобства 2д анимации. Посмотрела бы весь мультфильм в лоу-поли стиле, это было бы ещё больше похоже на инди-мультфильм.
