Just a note, not ALL of them have a zipper. I just got a 2007 RAV4 and needed to air up the spare to get the TPMS to turn off and found this video. After an hour of work I found, no zipper, just two elastic bands, one on top, one on bottom, and the cover was stuck to the tire due to it having not been off it in who knows how long. The bottom elastic is stiff, but eventually got it off, filled the tire, and spent quite a bit of time trying to work the cover back on, did not slip over from the bottom due to the stiff no longer elastic bottom band, but eventually got it to roll around the tire and in place. Broke a few nails in the process.
TIP to all, rotate it once in a while on a warm day so it doesn't get stuck to the tire so when you really need it, you can get the cover off.
I've had this car since 2011 and I just learned more about it in your video than I have ever learned. Tire pressure light is on. Checked air in all 4. It maybe the spare. Didn't know how to get to the spare. Thanks

Ive got a 2007 Rav4 and Im upgrading from 225 /65/17 tires to 245/65/17 tires after a 2" lift.
Id like to put a 245 spare on the back but i noticed the body is contoured. I see about an inch space with the 225 on the back now but would it fit a 245?
Thank you, helped me out.

Most people that search this video can’t get the ZIPPER OFF because it’s frozen. What a piss poor system Toyota developed on these.
Thanks! Just got a 2012 and was not sure about pulling off the spare tire cover
What do you do to get the nut off if it's seized? The rav4 tool doesn't work its completely stuck even after using pb blaster and a cordless impact wrench
what size lug nuts?
now i know theres a zipper i am good thanks
"Not really that easy..." Yeah I think that about does it...
You need to do it wit the door open
Same rip on our 2010 RAV4. Ha!
