Using a blunt tool will do little to no damage to the belt like others say it will. These belts are incredibly durable, after all they run many pulley like AC, alternator, powered steering, water pump and vacuum pump off of the crank pulley. These commenters are over exaggerating about how much the belts durability is affected just because the creator decided to not follow manufacturer’s procedure and do the job in an easier and more efficient way.

@@thebaronwatson4610they think that using a blunt tool to disengage the tensioner by pushing on the belt will cause damage to it somehow. Maybe they think it might cause a little nick in the belt but they clearly don’t understand how durable these belts are
If I was going to do that with the tool he's using I would have pushed on the aluminum arm that's holding the tension pulley not really right in the center of the belt I don't really think that's a good idea.
my vehicle is made in America and not from 2024 where my tensioner actually has a way to lift it with a half inch ratchet so you dont have to do this bullshit

Процедура производителя очень сложна😂😂😂. Гаечный ключ на 30, вот и вся процедура без повреждения ремня. На этом двигателе простейший натяжитель.
С учётом того что на ремень летит песок и вода,думаю от монтажки он сильно обидится😂

If he had pushed it on the aluminum part of the tensioner, the car would not come back for a new belt. it's called job security..😊
There’s a nut on the tensioner that could be turned on this engine, but the way demonstrated is exactly what it says to do in the manual.
