If anything the American Indians are the least similar in many ways. American Indians aren’t the only humans that have been on the losing side of battles and civilization.

I feel like the sole characteristic of Milva that was 100% consistently maintained was her fabulous capacity as an archer. This isn’t Mary Sue - it’s a storyline moving to a situation where a very well established character trait could play a significant role.
