Andrew Mangalindan and Casey Walker represent A-Train4014 Productions as we hit a brand new location: West Chicago with special guests Aaron Gonzales (BNSF Fan 7695), Andrew Bandur, and TrainFanatic1996. West Chicago is known as one of the busiest places for trains on the Union Pacific Geneva Subdivision because it crosses the Canadian National Leithton Subdivision. The action was consistent on both the CN Leithton Sub and the UP Geneva Sub yet surprisingly not very many Metra trains but the freight trains were the stars of the show. Overall, it was a fun time in West Chicago and we’re hoping to come back later this year. Witness our very first time in West Chicago as we catch trains on the UP and the CN with Metra trains included.

West Chicago is one of the best junctions in the Chicagoland area thanks to the PUBLIC sidewalks that get you real close to the action. Plus since the CN took over the J, the freight traffic is insane here.
It was also even better before the J became a quiet zone.
