I really can't understand why people hate this like he's literally pouring out all his feelings combining them with gorgeous lyrics and people still find something to moan about -.-
While I love the song whole heartedly, sometimes I hear it when I’m in a different mood and it sounds whiny. So I can get why some people are just like nope without giving it a fair chance
i have a very close friend who recently just passed awaya few days ago in a car accident he was only 19 and only video i got of him is him singing along with this song and i look at it now n it brings me to tears thank you guys for being part of an awesome memory
Josh Lucer I love you I'll send you all the vibes I can I am pleaged with death it haunts me in my nightmares I know and I'm sorry I wish you the best if I could hug you I would
All people do is bitch and moan and call him names..are you serious? He pours out his heart and soul and makes it into a beautiful song to see if anyone can relate, and all in the comments it's just people bitching.
i was crying to this band all night last night, hes so deep and in his voice you can just tell hes hurting. its so skillfully crafted as well. nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands
Small hands opens the album. This one closes it. They actually do flow together seamlessly right after one another. Small hands presents hoplessness while this one resotre hope. I love these two songs. They're brilliant.
I remember hearing this song for the first time. Sitting, feeling in love, while gazing out the window and seeing snow, gently cover the earth. Everytime I hear this song,it brings me back to that moment. Happiness.
I listened to this album for the first time a couple days ago. I was still reeling from the ending of The Last Lost Continent, and then this comes in and the realization hits that it's a rhythmic and lyrical bookend of the opening track-- except with an uplifting guitar pattern and words. Instant tears.
At first I didn't like the whole vocals and screaming, but I fell in love with the lyrics. But now that I can relate to what hes saying and connect to it, I realize there was no other way but to do this song the way La Dispute did it. It's perfect. I love it so much.
I couldn't agree more. When I cry and when I fail at being able to talk and say what I need to, he can. He captures every emotion perfectly. His music speaks when I can't and I love it.
When I say "No singing" I mean "No singing" There's no hidden meanings. Also I'm pretty sure what he's doing is rather rhythmic spoken word than singing.
+Spencer Cowan It depends on what you define an singing. For example some vocalists and vocal teachers say screaming as e.g. in metal is singing, since it's elongated speech with a certain technique behind it. Just like singing is elongated speech with a technique that needs to be practiced. So, looking at it from that angle, every kind of singing, screaming, making noises with your voice is basically talking. And since there's a technique behind his singing (if there wasn't he would've stopped doing what he does by long by now because it would've damaged his voice too much), you either call it singing, or you call every singing "no singing"; looking at it from that angle only, of course. (:
I think that one of the reasons this song is so beautiful is because it's so short. You just crave for more but nope. It's just this little piece of heaven.
I absolutely love La Dispute, and i a big fan of post-hardcore, but i do actually understand why a lot of people dislike this, especially because of Jordan's voice. This is one of these bands that you most likely are either going to love or hate.
his voice gives me chills, as soon as i heard his voice i was in love. how someone could dislike la dispute is beyond me, the lyrics are hauntingly beautiful c:
This was writen in my Notepad on my phone October 22, 2009... I just got around to checking it out, boy do i wish i could have realized how amazing it was.
i was just trying to find a song ( not this one) and THIS came up ( and i know the poem) .. i mean this , really this , it's just MESMERISING!! completely amazing and WOW!!!!!
I like to think of The Last Lost Continent and Nobody, Not Even The Rain as one singular entity, beyond just the fact that the former leads into the latter. As one, they create possibly the best finale to an album that I've heard yet. The Last Lost Continent is an absolutely epic piece, and more than that, it's a journey. Both instrumentally and thematically, The Last Lost Continent slowly builds up to a fantastic and emotional climax to perhaps the entire album, then fades into Nobody, Not Even The Rain shortly after, giving closure to not only the album but more specifically to the previous track. In addition, it also serves as a reprise to the first track, not necessarily coming back around full circle but perhaps resolving the tension brought forth in the beginning of the album.
this song reminds me of when i was in hs and i would tell myself it would all get better. it still hasn't really but i still have hope lol. this is one of the few songs that can actually make me break down and cry. so much emotion
I love when people fight over UA-cam comments because its like literally impossible for people to just listen to a song without having a story behind it or someshit like that and then when they tell their story thing someone has to reply and put them down like good job you're all A+ people I can tell you're all gonna get far in life.
Exactly, fighting over who has the bigger problems is THE worst. Why anyone would want to compete to have the worst problems is beyond me, that's an argument i'd like to lose haha
The titles to this song and 'such small hands' comes from a very famous, very amazing, EE Cummings poem called 'somewhere i have never travelled, gladly beyond'. (i do not know what it is about you that closes and opens;only something in me understands the voice of your eyes is deeper than all roses) nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands
I really can't understand why people hate this like he's literally pouring out all his feelings combining them with gorgeous lyrics and people still find something to moan about -.-
I like this certain song because of how raw it all seems
sung with conviction.
bc people are afraid and jealous of powerful emotions that they aren’t capable of experiencing
While I love the song whole heartedly, sometimes I hear it when I’m in a different mood and it sounds whiny. So I can get why some people are just like nope without giving it a fair chance

i was crying to this band all night last night, hes so deep and in his voice you can just tell hes hurting. its so skillfully crafted as well. nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands
Darlingcore
This comment really made me chuckle
Real
the emotional depth this band expresses is just sensational i just cant get enough of them

Why I love everyone that listens to La Dispute, because you can always relate with each other in some way.
Nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands
Oh my god... You just blew me mind 😱
@@stefaniesioux8274 it's a poem, it's beautiful, you should read it.
I remember hearing this song for the first time. Sitting, feeling in love, while gazing out the window and seeing snow, gently cover the earth. Everytime I hear this song,it brings me back to that moment. Happiness.
i've literally listened to this song at least 500 times and I still get chills
"Your hands still catch the light the right way and our hearts still beat the same"
Its such a sad song, but still so amazing.

Spoken word at its finest. Show me your SCREAM i want to hear the broken crackle in your voice when your pain comes out
I can't explain how many times i have played this song..
It still gets to me.. every single time i play it..
Made me cry... something about the sincerity in these lyrics, and that voice!
LMAO
Is this like a part two to such small hands? I'm confused
Yeah, there's an E E Cummings poem that ends with the quote "nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands"
it's a really great poem
Blair Carlyle it is called Somewhere i have never traveled, gladly beyond
Why this song hit so hard iv listened to like 3 times in a row now thank you bro
Deeply touched me. Bawling my eyes out.
+Austin Rowe no no square
Love the lyrics! Pairs beautifully with 'such small hands,' of course...
open your minds and expand your musical horizons. if you don't understand it there's no reason to be mean
This song brings out things I've not felt for a very long time...Things I thought I had buried, a very long time ago.
This song always reminds me of you...I wish you hadn't left...
These guys are so deep. Wow. I think basically everybody can relate to their songs. It's great.
His voice shows raw emotion. His voice shows despair and it is so powerful. This is an amazing song. It truly is!
This is comforting because it's raw 🖤

This is probably my all time favorite song. I can't tell you how much I feel whenever I listen to it.
I love his voice, I wish the song was longer.
I couldn't agree more.
When I cry and when I fail at being able to talk and say what I need to, he can. He captures every emotion perfectly. His music speaks when I can't and I love it.
this song is helping me through such a horrible time.
I hope things get better for you❤️🫶 love you/p
This song is so fucking good oh my god I get chills so hard
Is this a continuation to such small hands?
Yeah.
So beautiful. So much passion and love for what he's talking about. This is true talent.
This was always my favorite of the two similar segments. The poetry is fantastic. and It still makes me cry everytime I listen to it.
I can't even bear to read comments on la disputes songs, peoples opinions bring tears to me eyes.
Such beauty. You can hear the emotion. It really helps me process things when I'm having a rough time emotionally. Thx la Dispute.
This is easily my favorite songs now. Its my first time hearing it and I cant even begin to describe how amazing and poetic it is...
I honestly can't decide if I like his voice or not, but it doesn't really matter...he just shows so much emotion
i really _don't_ normally listen to (scr)emo, but this record is a totally twisted work of fucking art.
I wish this song went on forever.. its purely amazing
I love how broken and sad and desprete he sounds through his voice. Is Amazing yet saddening at the same time. I love it
EVERYTIME HE SAYS DARLING..... MY HEART STOPS
It's cool how there's no singing yet they manage to sound so amazing!
What do you mean no singing... Just because it's a more alternative voice, doesn't mean it's not singing...
When I say "No singing" I mean "No singing" There's no hidden meanings. Also I'm pretty sure what he's doing is rather rhythmic spoken word than singing.

I think I may listen to this song at least once for the rest of my life
This song is a little bit over a minuite long, but I've spent hours listening to this.
Time well spent.
the voice of your eyes is deeper than all roses,
nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands.
He may not have the best voice but he has such a way with words
This song is amazing.
rarely can a song make me cry. I love it.
This song is so beautiful, So romantic
The lyrics are truely amazing.
God his voice, I love it.
so inspiring, this song helped me in darkest moments of my life.
exactly, they always make songs with something that you're afraid to say and then they say it perfectly
Its so much pain in his voice, nearly crying!
This is really so beautiful. I just can't function when I'm listening. I can't do anything else.
Exactly, fighting over who has the bigger problems is THE worst. Why anyone would want to compete to have the worst problems is beyond me, that's an argument i'd like to lose haha
Favorite one.
Nothing left to say, it's epic, if it was possible to marry a song, trust me, I'd choose this one.
Who's hating on this song?
Nobody, not even the rain can hate this song.
Wow, I wasn't prepared for this.
This song needs to be longer.
I love thissss❤
