@Simon S Starcraft is also an amazing game to play though! I think for the longevity of the game it’s always important to have a large player base.
What would incentivise you to play? Or what makes you watch rather than play?
No pressure for you to do it, but that will probably be good for the algorithm.
@@SC2HL RTS's in general are very stressful to play, Ive played through the campaigns and enjoyed them but ladder is a different beast. You kinda have to know build orders and execute them well in order to be successful.
Same goes for Age of Empires 2, Im having a lot of fun playing through the campaigns but ranked is hard and it can be really demotivating when you just keep getting beat. I enjoy watching pros in both games tho as its very impressive to see them pull off these high APM ridiculous manoeuvres and build orders while being relaxing because you dont have to do it yourself :P

This is just like my bronze games. Protoss just build an armada and zerg just let it happen. The only difference is in bronze we just f2 attack and one of us quit without gg

The key to this armada is that almost all his workers died so it was super high density and population compared to an opponent with 70-80 workers. 120 supply army vs 180 supply army.

There were like 8 minutes left in the video when the casters start talking about if this game is over, so I knew it was going to be good!
Goblin should have cleared the left two bases when he had the chance, but he ran off to mess around the middle of the map fighting spores.
That's a tall order for a no-scout, F2, a-move skytoss player.

He is boosted by his broken easy race, don't expect protoss to ever make good decisions, they get rewarded for anything they do.
I myself don't get why he went towards all those spores in the middle. Just banging his head against the location with the hardest defense.

I would love it if Raynor made a secret base in the bottom right of the map, just to mine, since all the army was fighting and the protoss was trapped inside home
9000 IQ plays
This is a clear throw from goblin. Not intentional, but he gave reynor 4 chances to come back from certain death because he was engaging static defenses in the middle of nowhere. He got about 50 corruptors that he would never have gotten if the pressure was on top of the bases. Everytime a killing blow could be made, and reynor had 0 army, Goblin stood back and let him remax. Tense game, but it felt really watching a man fail over and over again.
To be fair, i think he was surprised over and over by the massive bank the zerg had and how well he used it. Reynor had already accepted what kind of game it would be and spent 99% of his bank to make sure he'd win the war of attrition, no more bases, no more upgrades, nothing that wasn't directly fighting the air army. So it was almost like he had to face 9000 resources in pure corruptors and spores plus the active army.
Goblin probably believed that if he took a bad fight then the game was over so he was just hoping that Reynor would run out of resources at some point. If he knew what we knew then i would've bet he would've just gone full on attack mode. I think this victory wasn't as much about goblin fucking up but reynor having the perfect response and preparation for what happened.

look at this game everyone, this is how you can get into masters with protoss. failed cannon rush and straight to air, then a+move into enemy base and gg.
the only thing goblin was missing here were a few archons in the mix to clean out those corruptors and a few simple recalls to regroup his army again

facing cannon rushes into double stargate openers every game is so fucking frustrating. zvp is the most munted matchup in the game they really gotta do something about it
@@DeathstarsEG take a good look on those corruptors son; each time those armies clash, the corruptors are clustered together, in a ball-like formation. few hits of the archon's splash attack and their HP melts in no time, they wouldn't even manage to approach protoss air units..

Zerg literally doesn't have units that can actually fight protoss air. Goblin fights over spores against dedicated anti-air units for ages and still almost wins. -_-

The worst thing a Carrier commander can hear is "Mineral field depleted!"
There is nothing more stressful than having to deal with a maxed out skytoss army as zerg. You have to play against it so precisely. Micro your units without making any mistakes. YOu have to target fire individual carriers with corruptors, while trying to fungal or abduct or parasitic bomb without accidentally A-moving your spellcasters to their deaths. (Funny how we give that courtesy to high templars but not zerg spell casters) While ideally being under a colony of spores. YOu can lose your army in the blink of an eye and unless you have a sick eco / larvae bank you will most likely not survive long enough to remax before the fleet sterilizes your infrastructure.
I don't know how anyone can look at a Skytoss vs. Zerg match up where the Protoss are only up by 50 supply and think that the Zerg has any chance of losing.
Goblin should be proud of that game, that was awesome!
No he really shouldn’t, he played like trash and F2ed while he was getting strangled by reynors double sided early harass. The only reason he had a chance is because of his deathball Airtoss army that requires no skill to use.

IEM Katovice champion barely won a 6.2k protoss. Zerg is so imba.
The funniest thing that start was perfect for Reynor, he was light years ahead, but toss can just assemble a tier 3 deathball even with inferior economy, imagine if zerg or terran played vs protoss that had 5k/5k bank.

Wow felt like that game shouldn't have been close at all. Thought Zerg had it, there weren't much high templars during the earlier parts of Protoss' all in and I thought he could just wittle it down well with the vipers, but I guess losing those overlords and some other small mistakes caused the game to go longer than it should have.
or, and just hear me out. 3 ultras 40 lings and 25 queens arent the answer to a 3/3 160 army supply of protoss capitol ships.
@@StepM4Sherman my point was that while useful in other aspects. In the main fight those were dead supply. About 70 ish army supply for reuniting was useless

I'm definitely no pro or anything but can someone explain why reynor kept all his zerglings and ultras at his bases when they weren't capable of doing anything instead of just counter attacking goblins base?
I think at this point if zerg commited with that ground army and Goblin recalled, it would be gg for Raynor, because he wouldn't be able to deny third bases anymore. But I'm kinda of a noob. I would love to see someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Played so many matches like this except just burn out against toss trying to multitask endless different units and spores. Nothing is worse than a toss that cannon rushes into skytoss. This is why I ling rush toss every game.

Almost only 2 Base Skytoss and even good players like Reynor (85 Drones, +2 or 3 Bases, a lot of defense) struggle to beat that. Skytoss is still overpowered!

Around the point where Raynor lost his main base why didn't he just take his lings and ultras and attacks goblins base? There was nothing there to defend but one High Templar, he could have easily forced him to defend his base and buy a minute which would have easily won him the game and wouldn't have made it so close. (or did I miss something?)
Apparently two cannons with batteries and one Templar is enough to stop three Ultras and lings? I dunno, pros play weird, just walking away as soon as they see a battery. Why didn't goblin push his advantage and instead screwed around in the middle fighting spores?

They are making a lot of mistakes, yes, but there are reasons for it.
First, protos has a mothership. So if raynor tries to attack the protos base with his ground army, the protos recalls the deathfleet but leave the mothership in the corner, kills the ground attack, the mothership recalls back for a super quick counterattack.
And if the protos tries to attack with the deathfleet, the mass corrupter and accompanying spores will probably win, or kill so much stuff you can't clear the zerg stuff before mass ling or muta washes over you.
AKA, they are making calculated decisions, not just flat mistakes.

there was a wall with cannons and a templar.
Reynor's ground army was "blockading" protoss in to prevent protoss from grabbing another base. Reynor couldn't afford to trade his ground army for the canons.

Interceptors vs Corruptors? Corruptors are tier 2, not tier 3. And they had no support since that game got so scrappy so I fail to see the issue. Mass corruptor against a more balanced army composition SHOULD lose. Not to mention the fact that the corruptors only had 1 armor upgrade to the carriers 3 weapons.

isn't Zerg a tad too powerful compared to others? Ravagers are like walking mini-nuclear strikes, and Ultralisks go thru buildings like butter. Not even Archons or Siege tanks can do that. Battlcruisers against a flock of Mutalisks prob will lose too.

No. Ravager biles are nothing compared to disruptor novas and high templar storm. Immortals hard-counter Ultras, and chew through buildings even faster. A flock of mutas will die to Battlecruisers if upgrades are equal.
Currently balance is reasonably good at the pro level.
Zerg is OP for years now. This game is pretty much dead because of that. Korean scene is practically over also. Games are stupid as fuck. Blizz knows this they said there won't be any more content for the game...

@@v3g374 i just hate how queens work, they stop all early aggression against zerg and force late game, then lots of zerg complain airtoss dominates them... i say make queens faster especially off creep and have a heal over time instead of a flat heal, let zerg be aggressive with queens but also force more interesting early game
i also totally disagree with ravager bile being weak, its just never cast correctly since most zerg players would rather get good at bane usage and splitting, where protoss really have to be good at storming or novaing, we've yet to see bile used to its full potential, which i think is devastating
the gold league strats are at it again and almost winning with a thenths of the effort required to defend against this shit. dude is just f2'ing, letting void rays fly through 20 spores because f2, meanwhile zerg needs to reposition spores constantly to even have a chance to survive
