Joel, thank you for the devotional. Amen, God plants you where he wants you to serve. In my Wife and my journey, we've had many roles, USAF, Parent, Teacher, Mentor, Neighbor, and Friend. Our ministry changes with the seasons but God's love for us is forever. God's blessings from the Blue Grass.
Thanks Joel! I came to the same conclusion the last year. I could have bought 40 acres in the White mountains last year for $35,000, but I will be 79 next month and like the fact that everything I need is close. 40 years ago I came home after 20 plus years in the Air Force and have been blessed greatly by the Lord. I was told my civilian job was only going to last 6 months but lasted 30 years. Because I work on old cars I wanted someplace with a workshop on a large property but I have a 10 foot by 50 foot side yard with tarp covers that work well for me. Plus my Mother will be 100 next month and still lives here in El Cajon on almost 1 acre by herself, so I am needed here. Jim
