- In this video I will be Putting together the cone for the top of the main pot body. In this video you wil need 4-6 clamps including your long clamp and small clamp previously described on the first video.
i am following the process used here ... one day i will make one for my self.
I would scotch brite all joints, a cold-water rag dragged along the soldered joint....right after you solder.....would tightn up the appearance.
Seems odd to have that top not line up to me as well. Oh well I guess. Lol
To use a triclamp on my cap of my pot I am think of getting a 4 inch 304 stainless compatible ferrule and plan on soldering one to pot and one to cap with silicone gasket and triclamp.
Can this stainless be soldered to copper and is 4 inch going to be big enough?
I ordered the exact still that you have.
Edit: or should I get the compatible ferrule in 6 inch since the diameter of the collar and cap are 6 inch?
Thanks in advance
Yes it can the stainless takes longer to heat up so have your flame focused on the stainless. Also I would put it between the collar and cap
You can tig braze it together
Where do I get this kit
