Sorry to hear you guys dislocated your knee .. I did mine April 2023.. I’m still in PT.. and still have swelling.. so disappointing.. I didn’t know it would take this long for swelling to go down.. patella dislocation worst pain ever!
Yeah Brother I Got It On 11-11-2023 But I Can Not Bend My Knee Man Should I Try To Bend Or Should I Rest More And The Swelling As You Say I Can See Mine Too For A Long Time 🥹😅
Sorry that you’re going through the injury. But Appreciate the kind words!! Dr. Zach is one of our best! If you don’t mind me asking, how did it happen?
when i was 10 i can’t remember what it was but it was either a sprain or a minor dislocation, i did it on a trampoline and i did this sprain on my left and right knees acouple times from 2018-2019. when suddenly in 2020 when i was 11 is the first time i dislocated my right knee on a trampoline and the pain was a 10/10. also didn’t even know at the time that you could do that type of injury and the look of my knee on the side of my leg was scary. after a few months i went back to sport and over time forgot about the fear of doing it again. i played tennis for 2 years, basketball for 2. and now onto aussie rules football. it’s been 4 years since that and i maybe thought abt the fear of doing it maybe a few times but had full confidence. that was until 2 weeks ago at training when a ball came short to me and i went to go stop and turn and my knee gave out and next second im on the ground with my left knee cap on the side of my leg. at the time it didn’t hurt as bad as last time and i wasn’t freaking out and had a few laughs with some team mates while it was out. i waited a hr and a half for ambulances. now thats once on each knee. idk what to think but im seeing all these negative comments abt how they have done their knees over a doven times and thats my worst fair.
Dislocated my knee back in January from wrestling, after I recovered i got myself into kickboxing and mma. I was working out earlier today in the morning and my knee buckled and gave out almost out of no where. I went to the er to get a mri scan and turns out my acl is torn. I'm a senior in high school and these sports are the only thing I have going good in my life currently and now I'm afraid i have gotten it all taken from me. I feel lost

I dislocated my knee on 2023, I decided to take a break from soccer until i recovered fully. I felt like my knee was doing great but unfortunately i dislocated it again a few days ago and I’m devastated thinking about how I might not ever play again. 😞
It's been 3 monthsss since the injury and now I can bend it 90degree ...my surgeon said to forcefully bend it otherwise I would have to get a surgery to bend it :) im so worried

I dislocated my knee in June 2023, and its currently December. It was my transition from Senior year HS to Freshman College. I did rehab up until I went to college and then was unable to find time to continue rehab (even though I must have had like 1 more visit left) It has been plenty of time and I have no discomfort, No symptoms, and not weak in my knee whatsoever. However, I have just purchased a ski season pass, and I am worried about if It is too soon to go out on the slopes. Should I be worried that it will pop back out? I am going to wear my brace, but I still feel like I need some reassurance on this. Should I see a doctor? or should I be all set?
Hi it's been 1 month to my dislocation and i had braces for a month i can bend it know but somedays i have pain can i you. tell that i can get back to my normal sports and dancing or not
I got kneecap dislocation 2 days ago and i wanna ask will i ever fully recover?? I do hip hop dancing that uses a lot of knee energy exercises and if i can when?? And any chances i can have you as my PT therapist?
My doctor said in can never get 100% like it was before but he said that optimzing everything around the knee could make it stronger than before but my ligaments would never fully be as good as before. Good rehab and stability training has been key for me to return to sport. Be patient it takes time.

Hey guys, I dislocated mine in October 29th. Seemed like it would never get better but I'm doing amazingly now. Flexibility is the same as before but my leg has very Little strength. I can't even extend my leg without support! Anyway, things are improving incredibly fast now. Good luck!
@@Maniman786 I'm absolutely not the person you should ask advice. I will share my experience though but please take it with a grain of salt. My traumatologist had advised against bending my leg to any degree whatsoever, and I had to go through four weeks of using a full leg splint/brace. During this time, whenever I tried to bend it (when not wearing the brace) I couldn't get to 90°. Any time I would stretch my leg back I would also get a little pain from my quad to my knee. After the full leg brace, I was told to buy a smaller one that stabilized the knee. I once took it off and started to do a few reps of slowly bending as much as I was comfortably able to, then stretching back. Next day I had recovered a lot of mobility. Not really sure whether I acted correctly but it worked, not sure how much of the recovery was thanks to the repose and how much thanks to the exercises. But two days ago I started walking like normal and everything's been normal since. My injured leg does get tired easily though haha. Anyway sorry for the long explanation hope you can make some use of it.
@@Maniman786 coming from a fellow knee dislocated partner, I believe it is normal not being able to bend your knee till where you can touch your foot to the back of your thigh. A doctor who I had talked with had said not being able to bend is a part of a good body's reaction to coping up with the patellar dislocation. And you can't bend whatsoever due to the restricted feeling so don't try and bend it, you'll only end up straining your leg even more which is the opposite to what you should be doing right now. Take plenty of rest and consult a doctor if you haven't already. Hope you recover soon and take care
