- I have obtained exclusive footage from Meeting Room D at Maranello to bring you their first ever post-race team debrief, following the French GP. I think you'll find it incredibly insightful.

Out of everyone in the F1 community, Chain Bear always manages to roast Ferrari in the hardest and most professionally produced ways. And it's not like he doesn't have competition, r/formuladank is roasting Ferrari 24/7
Formuladank is full of Tifosi, so it's more of a coping mechanism for most of the subreddit.
I'm not a Tifoso, I enjoy racing, still hurts to see Charles and Carlos being handicapped so much!
@@sherlockmaverick So true, am a Ferrari fan and i've made at least 10 shitposts flaming Ferrari on race day alone
the mods who run r/formuladank are total tools btw. Long live r/formuladanke!
I remember how he roasted them once in Monaco GP 2019. That was the start of all this lol
He doesn’t even need to roast them after Carlos’ DNF in Austria
As the great Enzo Ferrari once said:
"Consistency, good strategy and reliability are for teams who don't know to build good engines"
Truly a great and inspirsational quote, shows the inspired philosophy held by Ferrari this season.
So when are they going to build a reliable engine?
And that quote is why Ferrari is the best Saturday team in F1. No chance at WCC or WDC but yeah, nice pole lap. 🤷♂️
@@trance9158 tuesday
@@yodaslovetoy but they're not telling us _which_ Tuesday and in what year...
Wow, so Enzo knew his cars were often crap then. Prost should never have been sacked!
I have been part of race debriefs before and I can say that this is concerningly accurate. The odd joke, some self burns, blaming the other factory. If you wanted to make this completely accurate, you'd just turn back the general sarcasm of the video from a 10 to about 6 and it's like being back in the room.
May I ask in which race debriefs you have been in which role?
@@danort17 Just leaving this comment here since I too am interested in their experience in race debriefs.
@@danort17 I used to work for Merc a few years back. Seeing videos like this make me nostalgic
@@Huberman1234 in f1? Cool cool cool man. What job/function did you hold?
@@cambuurleeuwarden Nothing too glamorous, only IT. Narrowly missed out on doing trackside for testing as my passport had expired. I did get to meet Niki Lauda though which was amazing
New Ferrari strategy:
1) develop engine that doesn't catch fire
2) win all the races
3) score points more often
4) stay within track limits as delineated by tyre barriers
5) prepare race strategy before race weekends
6) let the engineers watch race on TV
7) educate team members about basic terminology
This will surely give Ferrari the edge they need going forward. Forza Ferrari!
IL PROGRAMMA
8) Teach the team what penalties exist (don't go making up your own now).
9) have one guy watch the pit lane and let him decide when it's safe/not safe to go out.
A winning strategy would be:
a) Get Vettel to make our strategy... again.
@@Commanderraf yeah Ferrari gotta bring back Vettel and Kimi a revenge tour
Surely it would be:
1) "Be in it to win it" - Race in F1. Drive a F1 car, around the track. On the track. In the right direction. Our car colour is red.
2) "Cross the finish line" - Finish the race. Cross the finish line on the final lap. Of the F1 race. In a car, our red car, that is working.
3) "Racing is a team sport" - Behave like we are a team (even if we pretend...), one day we can learn about racing and F1 teams! Fun!
4) "Finishing first is the ultimate goal" - our best measure of success is when our cars, with our drivers in them cross the finish line before all of the others at the end of the race.
We know that number 4 is very difficult to understand, and even harder to do. But, we have seen it done in "racing", and think that this is what it racing all about.
If you have any questions about racing, or F1 (Formula 1) in general, please reach out to your team "Ferrari"! You will know who we are, because we wear the colour red and our cars are red too!
They will share with you videos called "Chain Bear" on the internet, where racing and F1 is explained for you. It's very fun, we will also provide you with snacks and crayons that are red safe to eat. Yum!
Wow Stuart great job getting Mattia Binotto on the channel, so interesting!
I'm the place to be!
15:45 I was going to point out how there is a mistake and it says "Make us as we go along" instead of "Make up as we go along", but I feel like there being mistakes in Ferrari's presentation just really fits them.
That's the good thing about this kind of videos. If you make mistakes, you don't need to correct them!
2:42 Wrong tires
6:45 Says turn 12 instead of 11
It's unprecidented for Ferrari to give us this behind the scene look! I hope new fans to F1 can appreciate it.
A real challenger for DTS
Carlos's in-race judgement & situational awareness in real time is astounding. He seems to know what's going on all around the track, and sense which strat among the chaos is the one to go with. So impressive. Team principle one day.
he has such great awareness that he didn't even pay attention to the red pit stop light, great driver ineed
Carlos is the new Alonso? Here's looking forwards to another decade of Sainz in F1.
@@-PVL93- Who said he was a great driver?
@@-PVL93- so did Lewis so what?
It's really annoying that this guy has been able to do videos like this, about my favorite team, for YEARS, and NOTHING changes at the team. I think these types of Ferrari videos go all the way back to 2017 or something. You would think that being a Ferrari fan since 1982 has accustomed me to things like this with the team. Truth is, it still hurts.
As a Ferrari and a Leclerc fan I'm both laughing and crying 😂😭
Same.
This video needs a sequel.
I think Ferrari will get themselves in shape around the time of the German GP.
Wait, there's no.. oh.
Can't wait for Ferrari to be a championship contender in 2032 WOW
I think it must be really comforting for Ferrari to have have fans with so much unfounded faith. I have always followed Williams but really since Jaques left we have to celebrate the odd point not expecting wins, Ferrari is heading in that direction.
@@philspencelayh5464 then spa last year would've been gold for you despite the sh*t of a race
I have to say, watching this after the Hungary Grand Prix makes it even more funny, I do hope we get another debrief
This is amazing. The turnaround time is mind-boggling, the content is hilarious, and the info is all too accurate. Great stuff from Chain Bear, as always.
What's funny is that the script for this video could have been written at any time in the last several years, and just a few lines changed to fit the recent events.
This is pure gold. Thank you for all the effort you put in.
"I'll see you all back here after Hungary"
Lol.
A thorough roasting in disguise. I love it.
Ferrari team radio is always my favourite.
When something happens on track that forces a decision or warrants a question being answered, most of the teams have a quick answer for the driver, or if the driver does challenge them, they have the response prepared to tell the driver that they're wrong and to get their head down.
But with Ferrari, every single time, the engineer will say "Checking, we will get back to you", then they get back on the radio with an answer they're only half-committed to.
Carlos is more likely to challenge the team's decision, and he often ends up having to make the decision for himself.
They really sound like they have no clue what they're doing. Of course someone at the team must know the correct call, but for whatever reason it doesn't end up being the call that gets made.
The team is so full of indecision, secrecy and 'holding face', it hurts them time and time again.
Sitting at home, I saw the team radio from Carlos suggesting he pits with what, 15 laps left? That might have given him enough time to catch up and pass on fresh tyres.
So many little aspects of their strategy just didn't make sense in France. It was really like their strategy team was watching a totally different race.
Sir, it appears we're going to immediately need another installment of these debriefings because the messages were clearly ignored the first time.
Years watching presentations and debriefs at work and I can say this is 100% on point and I can definitely imagine it happening IRL. also Enzo Ferowny. That will haunt me for a while.
Ferowny was very tasty.
Just a week later, after Hungary 2022, and this video already needs a follow-up.
the projector being misaligned with the screen is really the icing on this video's cake
As well as the atrocious mess of a desktop after the presentation in the credits
About the one thing missing was a 3-box management summary slide at the beginning...
I’m here in Japan on 5am in the morning suffering from side effects of Covid vaccination. You just served me the BEST entertainment of the content of Motorsport.
I was panting because of my body temp. is around 40 degrees Celsius, just as hot as Ferrari PU for human being, I was smiling and laughing like a hell.
You literally saved me and uplifted whole of my emotion.
Thanks a lot.
Good humour, Get well soon

Ferrari saw this video and said "you thought France, was bad wait til you see Hungary"
"It's never too late to learn better race practices, even after 72 years in the sport!"
I'm crying
That's an arrow straight to the heart!
If Ferrari hired Wheatley from Portal as a middle manager for the engineering team.
Hi Mr Chain Bear, I work for a small engineering company out of the idyllic Italian town of Maranello. I was hoping to use some extracts from this video in a work presentation this week . Would this be OK. Yours Humbly
might need another one of these for Hungary
This video will age well
This is exactly how meetings at the pitwall, at the race control centre back at Maranello and post-race debriefs play out in my head.
Thank you for this!
no if it was this organized and effective, they'd actually have strategies
It's really tough being a Ferrari Fan.
Last time it was easy was the Schumi days...
@@adenkyramud5005 yeah but that was more than a decade ago...
@@adenkyramud5005 What was the exception again? oh, they didn't have Ferrari-natives leading the team.
On the other hand, if you're a masochist and also a Ferrari fan every race weekend is the best weekend ever.
Except for the Schimi years, Ferrari has been shambles since the 80s. Been a fan since 1982. I SHOULD be used to this type of thing. Truth is though, IM NOT😭
i don't know if i remember another time when a team was soo far behind so early after looking like the faster car for most of the year
frr. it looks like they tried really hard to fuck things up
If you put this out on Sunday, Ferrari could have used it. The time saving from creating the PPT could have been invested on more espressos and arguing on whose excel spreadsheet made the most sense for next week's strategy
I feel like another debrief is incoming
"They come prepared" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 nearly died laughing. Fantastic video. Keep up the good work.
Your videos are always amazing but this is just gold.
Different but the same, amazing job!
This is not a roast.
What he said was a factual description of events. No need to speculate on this.
I think the best part of this video isn't even the sarcasm ot humor. It's how SCARILY accurate your "business casual presentation speaker trying to be chill and relatable" impression is.
This is so good. You would think that after 4 years of the Ferrari 'strategy' team being the joke of F1, they would do something. Change anything.
Chain Bear, the art of being savage(against Ferrari) without being well... savage.
As someone who has seen your videos for years, I just want to give you kudos on being in front of the camera so much. I assume it wasn’t easy.
This is SO well done, and to do it in a long take like this is impressive as heck!
I'll never know how you managed to deliver that with a straight face. Fantastic!
The sad thing for Ferrari, is that was probably closer to the actual post race briefing than people think...
This season has been a masterclass by ferrari in how to cock up a championship. They've got the chassis, the engine and the drivers. Theyve also made a pigs ear of the whole season so far.
Talking about creativity in making content, that's an awsome work there Stuart!
Yes, his name is Stuart.
Stuart Bear?
@@dennispaguio no, Stuart Potter and the Chain Bear of secrets.
I'm a long time subscriber, but this might be my most favorite video. It has everything I like about the channel. Some numbers, some theories, great visualisation and some great humor
Brilliant, please continue to do this format.
Entertaining, informative and funny as.
There is a real chance Ferrari may just use this as their actual ppt debrief deck as I doubt they can do a better job themselves ..
Informative as always and love the presentation approach. Spot on imitation of teamboss. Bellissimo!
I was just thinking about this video and how it was the highlight of F1 UA-cam commentary last year (maybe ever). Just wanted to say I hope you're well and the content was really appreciated!
That was brilliant! Funny and making the key points. Maybe my favourite Chain Bear video.
He really does look like a British Binotto lmao
My god the sarcasm is bloody brilliant.
The business legaleaze does kill the pacing a bit.
Very well done.
This is SUCH a brutal roast!!!! Love it!!!!! Please do more of this style as and when appropriate!
This format is great. Good job on video
We need one of these for the Hungaroring GP... Just saying. Maybe for every race from now on. Seems like there are infinite content to implement, and they keep coming
Loved it!! Please keep this format!!!
Brilliantly put sir.👍
Lovely format for this video.
Great job! Really fun to watch.
Might need a part 2 now, just to stay updated👀
Ferrari would've had a better Hungary GP if they had this meeting instead of their actual France Debrief.
Extremely well done, great idea and perfectly executed 👌👌👌
Fantastic content, please make more of these
This has made my day. Thank you chain bear
I do watch people play the F1 video game competitively, and when it's a relatively important league, each team will have one engineer that works with both drivers. And their strategy calls are on par with, if not better than, Ferrari
Absolutely brilliantly framed video
Brilliant Video! Thank you!
Ooh… this is a new type of creative content. Incredibly insightful and quite revealing. Thanks for sharing this leaked footage with us.
Great video, you even slightly misaligned the projector to make it look more real!
lmao this was amazig, id love to see more of these! great job!
cant wait for the next video!
Brilliant stuff. Keep it up Chainbear
Can't wait for the next video. You have got to make one of these after Hungary.
Great as always !
Thank you for your post race meeting, Mattia Bearnoto
I bow in reverence for the commitment, delivery, and execution.
This is bloody fantastic. So funny and entertaining. Great job!
This is so great. I love the creativity
That quick view of the desktop at the end is just the icing on the cake.
Man, this is a riot! Great work!
Really like this format 👌
This is a MEGA video, super funny and creative!
You sir are a legend.... priceless "briefing".
Little late to the party. Truly an awesome video! It doesn’t nearly have the likes and comments it (and the effort put into creating it) deserves.
Excellent job :) do more, we will watch more :)
Absolutely fantastic!!
Can’t wait to see the next one.
Savage as deserved. Keep ‘em coming.
This is awesome! Please do more from other teams
This was amazing haha I loved it!
This is the most entertaining and comprehensive shredding I've ever seen. I sincerely hope that someone at Ferrari will watch this :D
this video hits even closer to home since hungary 😬😬
You never fail to amaze. Love!
I thoroughly enjoyed this. BRAVO
Fantastic observational comedy mixed with a great factual recap. Brilliant graphics. Just a sensational bit of UA-cam all round.
We need this every week , hilarious
Great new format :)
