Would you happen to have plans for adapting this to a specified mesh instead of the floor plane, allowing the same functionality over, perhaps,a rough terrain?
I just bought today this wonderfull script! This script fix [in position] only one of feet at time, not the both. It helps a lot, but not completely. It is necessary have a way to fix both feets at the sime time, to simulate a movement to lower or even sit. It will apreciate the same script for the hands (both) too.
This is probably obvious but I thought I would just ask anyway I take it that it glues the feet to the grey square and not the ground plane and that square is simply made transparent for rendering? And a G8male version is on its way?
thank you for this script. I find it works great in certain scenes. I am having a bit of trouble when combining walk animation (aniblock) in heels not all blocks are level. When I use the script forward it works but forward motion is eliminated. I think its the applied action. help if you can
Very cool, this is a great step forward :) But I'd like to ask, did u find a way to lock feet and hands while posing? We know pinning in DS doesn't work correctly and this would be gold!
While this utility would work well for hand stands because the hands are acting as feet being fixed to the floor, it wouldn’t work for hand holding as you wouldn’t want the body moving around to match the hand position.
Please could you update this script for Genesis 8.1 because the last version doesn't work :( It tells me to select a Genesis 8 character when a Genesis 8.1 is selected :( Thanks :)
Don’t confuse what this script does with Inverse Kinematics (IK). IK will adjust the joints of a body to place the IK target (normally a hand or foot) in a specific place. It will affect the pose of all the joints in the IK chain. Glue-to-Floor calculates the offset of the hip element of the figure to keep the selected foot/toe in place on the floor plane. It does not affect the pose of any joints - only the hip X/Y/Z Offset. The scripts calculates the hip movement based on the body weight being on one of the feet - with the other foot either lifted off the ground, or sliding along the ground.
Foot-fixing in place has Radio-Buttons and no Checkboxes. That means, its selection is either or. Only one option can be selected. But that alone is not your answer. 3DUniverse, must respond to that.
This is not an IK solution. This utility is designed to keep one foot in place while moving the body - glueing both feet to the floor would be pointless as the body would not be able to move.
That is a very useful product. I will get that one for sure. Thank you for showcasing your new product!
Thanks for the feedback

Please note that this product is for the Genesis 8 Female figure.
any chance to make both legs glue to floor?

DAZ Studio’s IK doesn’t do very well, unfortunately.
@@3DUniverseStudios so there's no way? With a script?
Proper IK would have to be built into the application. A good solution is not possible with script.
@@3DUniverseStudios - "DAZ Studio’s IK doesn’t do very well, unfortunately."
THAT is the understatement of the century. :)
Next I'd like to see a hand/palm position magnet.
Hi Kirk. Would you see it working in the same way as glue to floor? What type of scenarios would you imagine using a hand-glueing utility in?
@@3DUniverseStudios Hand stands, cart wheels, walking beside someone with a hand on their shoulder. :) lots of things.

So this does not work if it is for a walking animation and the terrain is irregular?

is there a workaround to make it work with g8male ? and for what reason is it female only ?
The male and female figures have different leg lengths and therefore require different calculations to work accurately.
Can you glue both feet to the ground at the same time? I like to use combat idle animations from UE4 and feed sliding is a big issue.

Hi, Steve, will this be out soon?
Hi Cris - yes it should be out soon
works with G8M and G3F/M??
As the name of the product suggests, this utility is for Genesis 8 Female.
Can both feet/toes be glued or only one?

@@3DUniverseStudios Yes, pretty much, because it behaves with the Hip.
