This is the only way it could have gone - when you give every mutant limitless respawns, then make entire tribes of hidden mutants who are all Omega level, and every threat is world ending/reality ending/universe ending time-travelling fever-dream craziness, the only story thread left to pull is the one that unravels everything so you can start again.
I've enjoyed hearing Rob summarise these stories (and get constantly irritated by Ms Marvel for some reason) and the art in these books looks FANTASTIC, but the story has become so insanely dense now it's completely impenetrable for new readers. If the MCU is finally going to start brining mutants in, the comics are going to have to reset to more familiar territory.
I would love a comic where TOAA just shows up during one of the apocalyptic events like Days of Futures Past or Fatal Attraction and just have him wreck shop on everybody, Sentinels, X-Men, Avengers Eternals etc on some" Yall not gonna keep f-ing up my creation cause yall wanna be childish and fight in every timeline and universe. I knew it! I knew they’d have to reset the timeline before Krakoa. That’s the only way things would work out for the mutants, and it sucks. I hate that they can never live without struggle.
It was a great run, seeing the mutants achieve and live out their greatness after decades of subjugation. 🫡
The struggle is part and parcel of what the X-Men is all about. Get rid of that and you are left with the Legion of Superheroes, the comic book team that cannot stay in print.
They should all move to Arakko

I appreciated this era for what it was. Especially in the beginning. The establishment of krakoa was my favorite thing coming out of X-men in years! X-Men are my favorite marvel team, and their Krakoa beginning made me proud.
I enjoyed the beginning also. I walked away from comics for years but the Johnathan Hickman’s run brought me back to comics. I loved the X-men on Krakoa story lines.
@@demariosistrunk3992 seems like things have gotten all over the place and idk if this was Hickman’s storyline or what. I kinda felt like with the way Hickman writes, he’s good at setting up bleak circumstances within a story that pay off in the end. But this doesn’t feel like that.

3:45 Nimrod isn’t a robot; he’s more of a cyborg. It has a human brain that was attacked by Charles Xavier in the last Inferno story arc.
I thought it was wild that there was an exposed brain. I took it as the brain was also made of nanobots. Dr Gregor uploaded Erasmus using some type of memory crystal but maybe the human brain design was for nostalgia? 🧐😬

Xavier in War mode is a beast! Having to kill someone to save all of mutankind just shows how much "never again" means to him. Wow.
Enigma doesnt kill the universes he just harvests the energy that the individual essex clones would use to achieve dominion into itself. The timeline just resets because when Moira dies or the clones sinister made of moira activates it triggers the affect. A dominion wouldn't care whether a universe lived or not. Essex just enjoys gloating above everyone else
But what is the Enigma? Is it the one in Loki?

Basic breakdown.
Enigma is a mind upload of the original Nathaniel Essex. Sinister, Dr. Stasis, Orbis Stellaris, and Mother Righteous where clones whose purpose was to succeed into reaching Dominionhood along unique road maps. When they each reached the penultimate step, Enigma would basically trip them and cross the finish line first.

2 things.. weird that Essex calls himself Enigma, kinda like early Marvel books that stated Captain Universe was part of 'The Enigma Force' and the second, i felt like Xavier was channeling his inner Don Cheadle, showing us how they need to go back in time and strangle a baby Thanos

Incredible. Just marvelous intricate plotline. When i was reading it i was in awe. Everything weve been waiting for, the time invested, the money in having this on the pull list from the beginning coming to fruition.
I'm not sure that Stasis killed the Children of The Vault, he said that they will be back in control in 30 minutes or seconds or whatever. He said it like they weren't dead.

Actually reality ended because wolverine killed the diamond sinister, activating his failsafe "a moira engine"
which deleted the timeline, but enigma remains
There are several problems with the Orchis plan...
1- both Warlock and Doug are free.m, so that's a threat Orchis is ignoring...
2- Doom still exists, and he is an existential threat to the universe...
3-do you thunk Charles didn't scan Reed for the access codes to the Ultimate Nullifier?

I was suspecting of Stasis involvement with the Children for a while, specially because he's the Essex of post humanity and they are the peak of the post humanity concept.
I just got myself a hardcover of the full Dark Angel Saga like a few days ago Rob, it's a sign from beyond for you to cover it
I believe this is as close to Hickman’s original plan as we’re going to get. In HOX/POX it was hinted that Moira needed to rely on her x-gene activating to keep her plan in motion. The only thing we probably won’t get is a Franklin, Galactus, Phoenix Vs Dominion battle.
If the X-Men travel back to kill baby Moira, I won’t be disappointed but I honestly think that Moira will take matters into her own hands and be absorbed by TCAA…the one thing The Librarian didn’t want happening 📚🧐
The mutants finally won in a timeline we don’t get to see
If he kills Moria that early as a teen, it doesn’t just change Krakoa….it changes a ton of things all together.

Remember what Destiny said back when she first met Moira: 10 lives and perhaps 1 more.
Even if they kill Moria something of the timelines will spill over. Timelines are the hardest thing to wipe out in their entirety.
So it ends in a "What if we kill Hitler/Thanos as a baby" story. Given that, except for Iron Man this whole arc does not seem to affect the other Marvel story lines - no indication of ORCHIS in Avengers, Fantastic Four etc I guess we should have seen this coming.
Actually they don't need to kill Moira they just need to shoot her with Forge's de-mutaniser gun.

This is insane, but also I just realized something. If they go back and they kill Moira, that's going to do a lot more than just undo Krakoa. Knowing just how sewn into history she is a knowing how much of her meddling has shaped the universe, if she didn't exist, it would basically knocking out the bottom support beam of a Tower.
Theoretically, it might not just destroy the universe. It might cause the Multiverse to collapse AGAIN.

@threedoubleyoudotcom751I agree. I’ve found myself enjoying these stories, but at the same time wanting some continuation or closure for our main timeline. A hard reset is fine by me when the web of one storyline is this expanded.

Maybe they don’t kill Moira, but rather just prevent her mutant power from ever manifesting. It would leave an opening to reset something in the future

Great video! With everything that’s has been shown I have a theory about it all. The new big bad seems like it is tapping into the power of the Phoenix force. There is only one Phoenix in all of the realities. At some point Jean is going to come back and set everything back to how it should be.

I understood that Sinister’s failsafe was that when he died the Moira’s in the engine would die and reset the timeline.
I'm going to say this right now if Marvel suddenly pulls a stunt where all the clones of sinister that basically were playing cards King of Dominion, Queen of Diamonds, Jack of Spades, Ace of hearts, Ten of Clubs. Cuz I know that there is supposed to be a giant Crown that's supposed to appear on this, but if I find out that there's another artificial intelligence of sinister and it happens to be the Joker and he's only says he's the Wild Card I'm done with any X-Men comics.

Enigma doesn’t stop anyone from become a dominion just the Essex clones. Whenever one of them tries to gain dominion a fail safe triggers and summons the original Essex AI mind to take that power instead.

It’s not that he’s preventing them from forming. He is, his whole plan relies on them forming dominions. He lets them get ripe and juiced and then consumes them adding their power to his.
Also Stasis formed another worldmind from the death of the children of the vault and added the energy to the dead dominion doubling the energy that enigma ultimately consumed.

They all die in the end tho. It's a constant loop created by Moira who keeps messing the timeline, she's the very instrument of their hell.

One could complain how Hickman has been given the power to erase/alter the worldbuilding of those before him, but it is what it is.
Good thing others have been given a 10 year timeline to finish their stuff before reboot.

These writers keep making such a mess with the stories and editors simply allow them to. Aside from all other inconsistencies in the stories, they also do not decide on what line of thinking about time traveling and the multi-verse they want to adopt.
