I’m bothered by this. There’s was a comic in the 70’s where they went at it and the whole point of the book was that they were an even match. The Surfer can withstand direct hits from meteors and comets. He can’t beat the Hulk but the Hulk isn’t isn’t just killing him by assumed default either.
I have loved "What if.." for the darkness of it's many time lines. It's a great way to look into the creepy corners of Marvel. Also.... thank you for that Juggernaut story. I've never heard that one before.

If Reed Richards didn’t have to have Charles Xavier and Uatu the Watcher step in to stop him from going crazy with the Gauntlet during Illuminati, he’d still be a chronically horrible father. Hank Pym is a misunderstood genius and I’m not trying to cancel him by any means, but Jan is far, far away from the only realm he’s jacked up in life. Ultron was a failure of overzealous idealism; almost all of the other stuff related to him traces back to Hank too for other reasons; and Civil War is a great salient example of him screwing up in a way that didn’t have a massive amount to do with that writer’s miscommunication.

The funny thing about What If stories is they're often more realistic and believable than what we actually get in the mainline Marvel and DC comics. And not only that, but they're often far better, improving the schlock we tend to get with current comics. For example, 'Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow?' to me is one of the greatest superhero comics of all time, and that's a What If comic. Another example of a great What If comic is a post-Civil War comic that showed Tony Stark an alternate future where the Superhuman Registration Act was never passed, and the world is in an era of unprecedented peace, to the point where Tony actually wept at what he gave up when he supported that bill.

Magneto is usually proven to be right but often goes to very extreme dark places trying to do good for his people and family. One of the best stories I ever read was Alan Moore's whatever happened to the man of tomorrow in his opening prologue he explains that the stroy does not fit in the Canon it is an imaginary story a dream he finishes his prologue by saying this is an imaginary story aren't they all? That actually let me just read the story and enjoy it. I feel the same way about Marvel's What if...storys.

The marvel zombies was pretty clean though. They turned it into a generic zombie apocalypse rather than superhero zombies that exterminated the earth. They kept the T'chala bit though, sort of lol.
Also to give an answer to your question. Sentinals can be upgraded. I feel like apocalypse could beat the juggernaut. But he lost to nimrod when powers of x hit.
I remember when I was a wee lad and just started being a comic book junkie and when I was browsing the racks at my local comic shop I saw “what if…. Wolverine became lord of the vampires” and Wolverine was my favorite character for most of my childhood and I discovered the concept of the “what if…” comics and it was so cool to me. I vividly remember that and it was about 32 years ago.
WWH and the What If story kind of hit me too personally... The older I get the more I realize I have what seems like an endless well of rage to get past, and I really have lost everyone close to me because I don't control it and I'm too stubborn to accept them back after they left.

For the first, now that I've read them both myself i think the reason they decided to go with galactus being called over just hulk destroying everything and vice versa, was exactly as you put it, the tone and timing. In one its a raging hulk in the time of huge action but in the other it's a defeated self hating one in times leaning more to reflection. . I can't say it's how id have wanted them to go slowly reading the releases as they came out but i do get it i think

My favorite was Wolverine becoming "War", going nuts and murdering the piss out of Apocalypse and then everybody else. then, just vanishing,FF to the future and he's in a monastic order, giving advice to a young cop in the "war watch", which is a kind of police force created as a societal response to wolverine's wholesale mayhem. it's a MOSTLY peaceful future

The marvel zombies was pretty clean though. They turned it into a generic zombie apocalypse rather than superhero zombies that exterminated the earth. They kept the T'chala bit though, sort of lol.
Also to give an answer to your question. Sentinals can be upgraded. I feel like apocalypse could beat the juggernaut. But he lost to nimrod when powers of x hit.
My favorite What If is…”What If Spider-Man Saved Gwen Stacy?”.
That had a horrible ending, you really feel sorry for Peter.
I remember when I was a wee lad and just started being a comic book junkie and when I was browsing the racks at my local comic shop I saw “what if…. Wolverine became lord of the vampires” and Wolverine was my favorite character for most of my childhood and I discovered the concept of the “what if…” comics and it was so cool to me. I vividly remember that and it was about 32 years ago.
WWH and the What If story kind of hit me too personally... The older I get the more I realize I have what seems like an endless well of rage to get past, and I really have lost everyone close to me because I don't control it and I'm too stubborn to accept them back after they left.

It's kinda funny how Rob always "asks the audience" about whether a character blows hard or not. It's like unless a character is being written by Hickman, John's etc, then he defers to everyone else on whether he likes said character or not

For the first, now that I've read them both myself i think the reason they decided to go with galactus being called over just hulk destroying everything and vice versa, was exactly as you put it, the tone and timing. In one its a raging hulk in the time of huge action but in the other it's a defeated self hating one in times leaning more to reflection. . I can't say it's how id have wanted them to go slowly reading the releases as they came out but i do get it i think

Wolverine would regenerate as long as his Adamantium exists for all intents and purposes. Why would they fight anyway?
@@princeharris2660 actually his healing factor is in his brain, which is why he can be killed by drowning. Dennis is right in that if he just froze his brain the healing factor wouldn’t exist and Logan would be easy pickings
Yeah his skull is encased in adamantium protecting his brain... that's why he is constantly referred to as unkillable..... this has been argued to death but in the end... this is what the artists and writers say.... so we can't really argue with that... it's pointless.
