I’ve seen this series 4 times through. Whenever it gets to Opie or Bobby, their deaths always STILL get me. I think the cruelest thing about both those characters is not only the fact that they were my two picks to survive the series but in both scenes, for a brief minute, it almost feels like there’s a chance for survival.
@CornholioPuppetMaster yeah it lost its momentum after season 2, picked up again in season 4, 5 and 6 were kinda lackluster then collapsed the whole way through 7. Major plot holes and too much women and not enough MC which is crazy because it's a show about a goddamn MC.
It's really clay he corrupts Gemma long ago leads to clay killing jax's dad to becoming president & taking his once good friend's wife/widow & then their decent into darkness since.

Man one of the hardest deaths in SOA! Up there with opie! Bobby was Jax moral compass! Ultimately all this ends up on Gemma and juice for the lies!!! Show was a tragedy
I don't know, in the last 2 seasons Bobby wasn't all that morally correct. Just remember how they killed the two rednecks, one of them being Jury's son. The whole SoA crew went pretty dark, from only killing when a gang conflict required it in season 1 to just casually killing people whenever it is convenient to them in season 6/7.
This was the hardest death in the series to me even worse than Tara simply because they made it seem like we would get Bobby back just to have marks shoot him right in front of Jax
Tara's death was crazy. I always thought if her and Gemma got into a fight it would be exactly that, a fight. Nope. Not even close. It was a brutal execution.
For being the chosen one Jax made a lot of mistakes, which in turn he was able to take revenge on, the series was entertaining so you cant ask for much more.
Jax was ruthless after Opie dying. After Bobby he just didn't care. After he finds out what Gemma did to Tara, he felt how Opie felt in his final days. Looking for an out.
Best series ever, already watched 2 times! Can't wait for the sequel or movie in SoA world, that's what Charlie Hunnam said, he have something big in his mind and he's working on it, maybe we'll see JAX TELLER again or maybe not but we gonna see more SoA cuts riding around!!

Besides, the reason Mayans is getting cancelled after this last season, is because Kurt isn't writing or directing anymore. That show started to suck the moment they let him go.

Bobby was the wisest and most rational out of the Sons he was practically the only thing keeping Jax and the club from destroying themselves any further the way he was killed by August Marks is so heartbreaking
Jax let his ego and his IDGAF attitude dominate him in the last season and Bobby was sadly one of the casualties of this. Despite being warned numerous times by August and the man clearly admitting he made his fortune being the deadliest person on the street (Pope being the smartest), Jax did not listen.
@@anthonycampos8057 yeah and Mayans mc is drowning. The ratings were close to sons in the first season or so then Disney fired Kurt, now the latest premiere only had 500,000 viewers. Which is about 1/8th what every episode of sons had. They don’t do anything unless it’s profitable.

I always felt that Sons of Anarchy was Romeo and Juliette with guns and drugs. It was one of the best shows ever. So well written and acting was phenomenal
I didnt get one moment, if Bobby knew about the gun, why he just didnt laydown, it would be a problem for August to lift him, or act suspecious, you dont need mouth to show that something wrong...
Marks didn’t want a war with the Chinese cause it conflicted with his business assets. He told Jax to wait and Jax didn’t listen. There was a priest and his mom that Marks was hunting and the club protected them against Marks’ orders and tried to pull a 180 on him and make him think they had nothing to do with the protection. Both of these things caused Marks to hunt for them
The think is yeah it's sad seeing loyalists like bobby and Opie but the thing is it's jax that started the whole thing cause he thinks he better than everyone else and killed the Chinese which was huge for august business of drugs and guns so we need to blame Jax for all the killing that happens
August Marks was not Damon Pope. He was never anywhere near the level of Pope. I hate that Kurt Sutter decided to turn this glorified body guard into the final villain of the show.
Jax will never forget this.
