    Fair review. You should be more thorough by identifying the models available and the specific model that you are cooking with. Which size is this oven?

    Why have a flue as all the smoke is pouring out the front

    I have a similar oven, mine says dont put the front/lid on while theres fire or lit coals in the box. Looks great. We did some cast iron steaks as well.

      I've seen them where you put the door diagnol so that it can breath, but this door has holes in it for the same purpose!

      @@daleandersen9579 it says clearly in the directions do not use the door while a fire is built in the oven. You may be able to use it when there's just coals

      @@ss70chevelle85 No offense! I'm in the market and trying to decide which one is best. Very little info available, IMHO, which brand do you like best and why??

      @@daleandersen9579 honestly, I use the NXR oven. Truthfully I bought it because I got a really great deal price wise from sams club. Its the only one I've used. But it works great for what it is. I've cooked other things in it besides pizza. Cast-iron steaks, cookies, garlic knots. Its versatile, just takes a bit of messing around with it to get a feel. I like it. But most these types will likely be the same. Its a sturdy model i bought a char king (BBQ grill cover) that works great for protecting it from the elements while not in use. Its fun to use. No problems I've had it for about 2 years now.

      Great vid. Can you get any more heat out of that unit? How long did it take to get that smoke stain on the top? Was that on your first cook?

      It appears this exact model is no longer sold. The closest match would likely be the “Fun” listed on their website at $1699.

    How hot do they get and how hard is it to keep over 750?

    • @perrybrauner6727
      @perrybrauner6727 4 роки тому

      The oven can get well over 1,000 degrees if you build a huge fire. It’s not that difficult to keep it over 750, you just need to keep feeding it wood.
      I’ve been preferring NY Style, so I’ve been building the fire and waiting for the floor to come back down to around 600F and baking for closer to 4-5 minutes

    2 mins is too long and you can tell the dough was dried out....need flame when cooking neopolitan, 60-90 seconds max at 400-450C.....nice oven though.

      Mario Montagliani I welcome all pizza lessons. I’ve been steadily improving, though not necessarily Neapolitan style.
