Today we will check this new AMG SL 43! How do you like this 2 Liter 4 Cylinder AMG SL?! Would you pay less and get this or would you pay more and get SL 55 or SL 63?!
No, because I’ll never use the top speed of the other two, so what’s the point? Plus, most of the new mercedes are going to use a four cylinder anyway so I might as well start with this.
The thought of a 4 cylinder engine in an SL fills me with dread, but when you factor in that it costs £30,000 less than the 55 and £60,000 less than the 63, it's a no brainer, I'd get the 43.
It looks pretty much the same and it has plenty of performance, even if it might sound awful when compared to the V8s.
I've heard similar comment from a guy which said he doesn't really need all that performance for a weekend cruise with a top down. Price point is a significant difference. Overall to me 55 is a sweet spot price/performance, but this 43 would be a fun car to drive for sure!
@@IvanSensei Agree with that assessment. Some of us don't want too much power in our cars. This will be perfect for most of my road trips. I don't need a big car or carry lots of luggage. I bet its a sipper too.

It would be foolish to buy cars with matted paint finishes they have procedures to care for these types of paints and if you need to get it repaired good luck with finding a repair shop which can match Factory quality results.
Like for the car dislike for the engine
This car makes no sense at all. I'm saying this as I'm currently driving a CLA 45 with the same engine and have test driven the SL63 (and will be getting it in the following model year if the economy doesn't go to shit).
This engine is made to go with a small package car. The CLA 45 is already at the limits of weight where it feels appropriate. However, when you go above 130 kmh, it reminds you that it's a 4 cylinder, albeit the best 4 cylinder you'd use. It's really made to rocket you up and down from 0-100 kmh. However. with the added 300KG of weight, longer and wider body, you automatically get into more gt territory. The 4 cylinder cannot deliver as a GT, nor can it deliver as a pseudo-sports car.
The SL63 however, with it's 577HP, can deliver as both a GT and a sports car. The power delivery really highlights the 4Matic and rear wheel steering that swoop in to assist you. You feel like like a refined athlete on the road. The CLA 45, you feel like a pocket rocket. The SL43, you'll feel like a granddad past his prime. They should've just made an SL300 or something at this point. This could quite possibly be the worst AMG.
