You know.... your "let's believe" made me think of something... what you made with it being short sides like that... looks like a great basket for a pie taker!!!!!!!! Or a casserole. With those handles.... PRETTY SWEET!

I've used triple strands of yarn with a 9mm hook, and it's almost this same thickness, but easier to work with. If you're still having trouble with blanket yarn, maybe try 3 or 4 strands of 4 weight? 🥰😉
So glad to find this one using this yarn. I have made several blankets for people using this yarn because they love it so much. Making them a nice basket to go with their blankets will be great. I may even make it larger to be a storage basket for their blankets. Great instructions as always.

Hello, I have a question that I don't know what is the cause when I do, the base of a crochet basket after a size does not remain flat and how many times in how many rows do I have to do double stitches, I think it is the problem with my base
My base has started to curl as it gets larger (as in its no longer a flat circle) what did I do wrong? This started round about the 7th or 8th round 😔😪

This is defiantly a beginner friendly tutorial and should world with 2 balls of any bulky (5 weight) yarn.

When you stop enlarging the circle and just single crochet the sides of the basket start growing.

You might be a tight crocheter. Try going up a hook size.

Bernet Blanket it a chunky chenille yarn. It is not wool.
