Nice job for Greg but with two farmers standing watching, strange how neither of them had even attempted to try and pull it out themselves. Tractor was there already with loads of other equipment which could have been used around the farm.
Very true, and they were happy to, but because vehicle was in tact they didnt want to take the risk of causing any additional damages. Not worth the risk to save a few pounds, seen it over 100 times when its backfired in some instances. Better to be safe than sorry. Farmers do farming 💪 Recovery ops do recovery 💪
@@GDBRescueandrecovery Farmers also do recovery, just not very well xD I went out to one, high centred polo or golf can't remember, the farmer had come out in a tele handler, installed the tow eye and proceeded to try to lift the car off the block is was stuck on. Obviously that tow eye is now sat on the moon watching down on us and we earnt a tidy sum sorting the job out properly.
You need to keep the beast, the content far outways the trucks, Disco all the way fot your "had,hoc" recovery. Without the disco what would you have used for this in your arsenal? Love the content bye the way..
One thing I'm commenting off my girlfriend's account again and I wouldn't have rang you in the first 😂 Because with all that plants machinery, And it looked like it was a wood factory.So , with the wood it could have been done I think they could of got it out. Without having to call you out 😂 they could have dug away at the ground a bit near the bumper. Or just took the bumper off And put a few logs underneath. And then toaded it out with a Tractor or digger And it was only a stream , it wasn't a bigger river And they must have a 4x4 on that site aswell but I'm only 12 minutes in to the vid but anyway keep up the good work
Fire nd rescue would not even look at that due to flowing water. I know of an exercise where they even stopped a 4x4 club extracting the "casualty " until a fast water unit arrived to sign it off! The stream was smaller and less flowing than that!

Do you know why are used to leave the handbrake on when your part your vehicle? It was an old thing? Land Rover military the handbrake used to work on the prop shaft and the prop shaft will get hot when you was driving it so when you put the handbrake onon a prop shaft when the prop I’ve got cold handbrake did nothing so when you drove the military Rovers you always left them in gear that’s where that come from

mine did, due to nerves i requested extra lessons he took to places way more challenging so what ever test thrown a me it be easy . a load extra hours i asked a load questions, one was useful the first few weeks passing i ended up on forest track what turned to mud on side mountain in winter, 3/4 up before i decided to turn around had to get out car to clear big log out road / walking path the car just slid back with handbrake mud track was to slick , it held but always risk gear popping out, continued up to a Y split in the track did 3 point turn car was on some crazy angles side mountain in the forest and prob track not been driven on for 20 years or very rare. another thing the handbrake was getting useless, took it away before my local mechanic t go over it first car you want to get out drive it, climbing 25% grade a small pull in on climb up the mountain handbrake not hold unless fully on but bad health no way i could maintain good pedal control and release handbrake as that took all my strength and car few inches behind squeezed in to bay to allow cars past. only thing what came to mind heal and toe it still took effort to release handbrake but smokey start a bit tyre slip but got it moving forward. since then my car is working 100% good very well maintained . due to nerves i told ready at 40 hours i added extra 15 id saved up for everything lessons,car,insurance just go full steam ahead get it all done in summer. my test hour long also so the lesson helps keep nerves in check and learned so much extra as i never stopped coming up with situations and ways to get out them , even when road where car goes on 3 wheels a lot, have enough speed to get the front back on ground not to much just right amount or you be high and dry. all my city cars have seen a tad bit off road, bad health and i like taking images i want to get close as i can to limit walking so off road it is , read track right you be amazed where fiesta 2007 or i20 can get you and so far no damage read the track and plan well ahead you know where you need more speed and places slow and steady , diesel fiesta is better one, petrol less weight on the front wheels

Looks like the satnav sent you in circles round the town centre... Have you ever used an airbag jack - might have helped to lift the Audi up over the bank minimising the risk of floor damage and help stability?

just 12 miles from my home town where did most my school, Llangollen a lovely part world very pretty and great driving roads. done the trip you did for decades traveling Llangollen to Kenilworth 4 miles south Coventry a5 m54 m6 but i refuse to take that way anymore i avoid Birmingham all together it hell hole even kenilworth/coventrys way to many people compared to Llan of 3300 people so im in your neck woods the midlands and i escape anytime i can i hate it but dad down midlands mums in north wales. so every trip to north wales from south coventry i head south and west for few hours a46,a44 to crossgates and only then i start heading north staying west and when in line with bala/corwen only then i head east towards Llangollen. i hate city's so i avoid them and after few goes on m6 smart motorway so called i won't use it and one hold up to gt to first services m54 you have to really speed to get to bathroom so through the center of wales pull in to a field entrance if need be, its an very enjoyable drive around 6-8 hours average but as take a new route from crossgates to bala or corwen each time have done coastal route it was 12 hour drive no inc rest stops. a fun stress free drive and as drive older car higher chance breakdown its far safer than using m6 and i avoid Birmingham a place i dread to drive near and only 12 miles south of it , Oswestry that were i had two major spine operations a town i know well spent lots weekends walking around the town far better than zombie Wrexham its gone down hill huge since i went to collage nearly 20 years ago. so one thing i know if i need recovery it won't be you i be to far west sadly as if very unlucky to every need a recovery fingers crossed i don't but a reliable brand , but if it went bad on country road i can always force it in to a field if a very dangerous spot, lot m6 on a bridge you sitting duck

Ive pulled out similar with a tractor and a couple of old ratchet straps. There is no need for any expensive recovery. All the kit was in the yard.
Paying for the knowledge though aren't they, I doubt they'd have the confidence to pull it themselves
