My car couldn’t start I had to jump my accord and after it said check/charge system. I then watched your video did the same thing and it doesn’t say that anymore man saved my day
Nice good job!!! But if it come back on check alternator voltage
Did you use a genuine honda part or aftermarket on amazon?
Having this problem right now , no one can find out what’s wrong with my Honda, glad I found this my brother 🙏🏾
Welcome!!
2021 Accord Sport 2.0T: Installed an Injen cold air intake, and immediately got this charging error message. Watched this video, and thought it was worth a shot. Unplugged the module on the negative battery terminal, plugged it back in, and no more error messages. Thanks RB!
Oh nice good job!!! I hate this issue with these Hondas
Unplugging the sensor next to the negative then putting it back on fixed the issue for my Accord2015. Thank you sir for sharing your knowledge.
Nice job!!!!
I did it but then it comes back on sometimes. I already replaced my alternator.
I had the same issue with my 2017 Honda accord ex-l where the red wire of that connector broke off so I had to get a new connector that connects to the battery. I figured it would be worth me mentioning.
Thank you!
This fixed the problem on a customer's 2018 Accord. The wiring to this connector is really tight so maybe that's why it trips on when you remove and install a new battery.
Oh ok good job!!!
Man I was just telling my wife that you are my favorite UA-camr mechanic lol... you've been helping me out big time saving me time and money 💰
That is awesome! Glad to help check out the abs video on this car also. I have video comming in a day or so on this accord idle relearn. Worth watch it!! ua-cam.com/video/ZYoRcWPGbb8/v-deo.html

2015 Accord Sport with this issue. Tried unplugging and cleaning the sensor cable by blowing dust off it (first one he unplugged in the video) and plugging it in again. Solved my issue! Happened when I had a new battery installed. Tech must not have snapped the sensor cable back in fully. Thanks for this video!
Nice u did good job!!!

I took my car in the Honda services, the technician can't find the problem so they didn't charge me. The light came back on again, did my own research and found this video, literally resolved the problem. Thank you so much for this video!

Bad horn fuse also cause this issue
I just detached the connector from the battery sensor and the light went away. I am going to replace the battery sensor still just to be safe and if the light comes back on, I will check for the horn fuse. Thank you so much for making these videos! I learn so much by DIY and save $$$$!

I didn't have the message on the dash but the car wouldn't produce a good enough charge to keep the battery charged. Replaced the battery and alternator but my code reader read good voltage while headlights were working yet the alternator out put would go below acceptable level when headlights were off. Thanks in advance
Yeah it’s batttery sensor it check voltage and send computer siginal for how much power it has and need to be charged

I checked the black fuse box on the battery connector as you mentioned in the video and when I opened it, it was filled with a black liquid like oil 😩 The connector on that side of the battery is corroded too has blue crust around it. How do you ground the sensor?
@@Poosii I cut a piece if 10ga wire about 12 inches long and put 5/16in 12-10 Gauge Ring Terminal on each end and ran it from the new battery terminal to where the neg wire used to connect to the sensor and just tuck the sensor behind the battery somewhere, I forgot to mention that I also added a 36-inch long neg battery cable and bolted it directly from the neg battery post to the engine, In other words, it best the engine has direct contact to the negative battery post, so your alternator can work efficiently,, and the Check Charge system indication will never bother you again... if the Check Charge system indicator does comes back on, then your gonna have to buy the sensor from the dealership, for $42, do not buy aftermarket, but still follow this procedure I laid out or you'll be back to this same problem
Its a very bad design to have the negative cable bolted to (only ) the body of the car and not ground the engine directly,,,,, the alternator is having difficulty finding the negative post on the battery because it has to travel through the body of the car. The engineer who designs this car knows very little about electricity....... (Negative and ground ) means the same thing
Do you have a video explaining this? I think I'm having this problem right now
Where on the motor is a good place to land the ground?
Thank you brooooooooo

UPDATE: Actually that "Check Charging system" sign came back again, I even changed the battery sensor-still the same, after I changed the battery sensor CONNECTOR, sign is still on. Took the car to a mechanic, he said the alternator was bad, so changed the alternator and the battery sensor, because the new battery sensor also was bad-possibly alternator caused it. I drove few miles, so far so good.

Everything seems to be OK since I replaced the alternator. It's been a year almost
Don’t forget there’s another electrical fuse component inside the main fuse box under the hood that will cause the battery drain no start issue too it’s called an ELD fuse or Electronic Load Detector it’s located right next to the battery fuse it’s typically chocolate brown in color replace this when all else fails or has been checked and proven ok there’s a couple of videos here on UA-cam that explains the issue good luck 🍀
