Beautiful machine! I've been looking at Softail Slims for awhile now and would love to have one.
Started with an Iron, to a Forty Eight..... and finally got and staying with my Softail that's also a 2016.... I've been looking at those black fuel/ gauge caps you have.... totally dig how they look on your Slim! Ride safe mate, CHEERS!
Cool front lights and signal lights. nice video.
Your bike is my dream bike!
Goodness gracious its gnarly wicked looking!
New subscriber! Be buying one soon, but the the same one like yours 2016 Slim S. Vance and Hines sounds good .
That headlight is beastly
One of the nicer slims I have seen! I agree about a different headlight though.
Thanks Harley Dave Re: headlight, I'm waiting on a daymaker (looking) headlight in the mail. That'll be in my next vid 😀
Ed M What brand did you end up getting?
Harley Dave I went with one of the Daymaker knockoffs being sold on Amazon. I did do a bit of homework on it, and the brand I bought, Neverland, seems to have more than a few happy customers. I hope I'm one of the them!
Great looking bike! It'll be even better when that snow melts and you can get it on the road again! Figured I'd let you know we just recently made a video about installing some ape hangers on this exact bike, so if you're ever interested in upgrading from your current bars, check this video out to see how to install new bars or at least see how some ape hangers would look on your bike. Safe riding!
Looks Great man.
Nice, i have the 2017 FLS. Watched your vid to get passenger peg ideas. I like the location, i have the V&H big radius pipes so i dont want the wife melting her shoes on them if i mount the pegs lower than yours.
Love the bike nice touches.
Where did you get your seat and passenger i have a 2016 softtail slim fls looking to change mine
Sick. Have this bike in olive gold denim, i wish i got all black like this. I think you should use fuel stabilizer keep moisture out, we do in colorado.
Very interested in any information that you could share concerning the passenger set ups you installed...Pad,Sissy bar & the pegs. I loved the look of the whole group you set up.
Hoss TuLL The passenger pegs and passenger pillion are both HD brand, part#s 49110-98 and 52400039. I mounted the pegs themselves on an aftermarket bracket from Kuryakyn (part# 4334). The sissy bar is called the Buck Fifty and can be found at www.tophandventures.com
Hope this helps!
stunning
cool dude!!! congrarts....!
Hi sir can i have the item detail for kuryakyn rear peg passenger relocator
Can I get the same seat for my 2014 softail slim?
Looks really good. That sissy bar gives it the right look. Are you going to lower the back?
Hi there Ed M! I recently bought my wife the denim slim w/ the stage 2 kit, short shots, and mini apes . . . she loves it!! We are thinking of added the passenger pillion for short rides together where she would rather sit back and relax but take her bike instead of my street glide special, she has a concern that the pillion will scratch the paint under it. Its going to be on as needed not a perm fixture. Can you advise had you noticed any scratching or wearing where the pillion sits when you take it off? Thanks
Jonathan Bumbarger The million from HD comes with this protective film that, when used, protects the paint just fine. The problem is that the film is a one-time use kind of thing. You can buy cheaper 3m type film on Amazon that I'm sure will do the trick. As for not using 3m film, I wouldn't recommend it. I have no way of knowing for sure, but I'm pretty sure it will scuff paint on its own.
Pillion, not million. Autocorrect!
Ed M, beautiful bike man! I also have a 2016 Softail Slim. I didn't get the S model because I wanted the Denim (flat) Black Color. I do wish I had the 110 engine and cruise control though! I do have one question in regards to the headlight. I saw on another comment that you ordered the Neverland "Daymaker" off of Amazon. Could you leave a specific link to the one you purchased? Thanks!
FirebladePilot I sure can! Just to be clear, though, I did not receive this part yet and I cannot comment on this product as of now. www.amazon.ca/dp/B01B1ES3ZM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_7jH-ybSMEV5FZ
FirebladePilot One more thing, that link is to the Canadian Amazon site
Thank you Ed!!
Sick bro....
How much riser did you use?
Would you mind posting a link or Model Number of the "Kuryakyn Rear Peg Relocator". Thank you.,...I appreciate it.
yes please I am interested in that as well and also the sissy bar number
I have a 2014 Slim S & loving it !
Hey what relocation kit did you use for the passenger pegs?
Also keen to know? This is a much better position than through the pipes.
Great taste 😉
How tall is your sissy bar?
Ed M
What is the name of the place you bought the foot pegs, cant find creacktive on line.
Jim Eleopoulos The rear pegs themselves are actually Harley Davidson branded rubber ones, don't know part # offhand, but any HD dealership can help with that. As for the peg mounts, those were made by Kuryakyn, p/n 4334.

Jim Eleopoulos oh, and I bought the peg mounts on a Canadian website, Fort Nine.

Thanx bro, also love what you did, i have a lot of ideas but I'm in another country and going to steal a lot of yours. sorry.
hey I like that passenger pillion seat . do u have a prt# or link
DJorge512 the passenger seat is a Harley Davidson brand, pn 52400039. Matches the stock seat perfectly!
when installing the sissy bars did they scrape your fender? also how reliable is the fit i need something i can put a duffle bag too
I am Albert I have since removed the sissy bar, and I can tell you that they do in fact scuff up the paint on your fender. The fit is super clean and strong, though, so slapping on a bag would be no problem.
Ed M thank you so much i really appreciate the help
It is a tight fit
very nice!
Motorcycle thanks friend, I sure do have fun with her!
Price of this bike??
Awesome bike man. I just bought one a few days ago and I, like yourself, need to bring the bars up a bit. I know you said they were the 3.5 inch (tall) one made by DS, but no mention of the diameter. Did you order the 1 1/4? Link?
Hello friend! I ordered the 1" diameter to match the stock handlebars. The description is "Drag Specialties Forged 1" Straight Handlebar Risers" and the link is here:
fortnine.ca/en/drag-specialties-forged-1-straight-handlebar-risers
Ed M awesome! Thanks a ton. I like everything you have done to the bike.
Ed M my risers came in but they didn't come with a clamp for the top and the holes don't match up with the stock clamp. Where did you get your clamps at?
I have the Drag Specialties Handlebar Riser Clamp fortnine.ca/en/drag-specialties-handlebar-riser-clamps Note that these are two individual pieces, different from the stock which is one piece. The same website sells a one piece riser clamp, but they are out of black at the moment. Also regarding this following last link, I am pretty sure, but not 100% sure, these will fit our bike. Best to email them to ask for fitment.
fortnine.ca/en/drag-specialties-handlebar-clamp-with-skirt
Ed M found them. I got the two-piece scalloped ones as well. Hopefully they come in fast because now my bike is just sitting in the garage with the handlebars off. LOL
Couldn't get both washers on I'll try again thanks
James Munn when I did it, it was one tight squeeze!
Do yo have issues with the rear pegs staying up.?
No, and that's because the kit came with these slightly-bent washers that act as tension. It takes a certain amount of pressure to move them, certainly more than the normal shakes and vibrations and wind of normal riding.
What did you think of the bobber springer seat? Why did you go back to the stock seat?
Ps beautiful bike!
Harley Street Bob I very much likes the Springer seat, both in looks and comfort. I changed it out because I was concerned about riding it in the rain. I'd say there is a greater than 50% chance I'll be putting her back on within the next few years
Thank you!
Nice slim! Could you send me a link for that sissy bar? Thanks
Alex James www.tophandventures.com the one I have is called "The Buck Fifty". Cheers!
What is the part number for that passenger seat?
Hello Potens Pugnator, the number is Part Number 52400129, thanks!
I bought that swing arm bag but don't like how it attaches to bike, may rub off paint.
Fred KE8DKS I agree that the straps that this bag came with would probably rub unnecessarily because it would be hard to strap it tight. I also have the HD branded bag, and use the straps that came with it. I got it cinched tight, with clear 3M tape along the swingarm, so I'm hoping I'm ok 👌
Where did you get the clear tape? I cant find any. I screwed up the tape I got with the bag.
Fred KE8DKS I used regular 3M automotive clear tape that you can get at most auto stores. I got mine on Amazon: (Canadian Link) www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B00WMTNVFS/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1496017298&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=3m+protective+film&dpPl=1&dpID=51BORfs26VL&ref=plSrch
That is what I use on my Fatboy. Scott
did you do the install on your rear signals yourself. if so I have some questions.
Steve Cox I did! Ask away :)
Ed M did u have to cut the end of you strut bar off and grind it down
Steve Cox No, the Alloy Art rear signals for right over the struts, and it screws in with the existing bolts
Steve Cox IIRC Alloy Art has a PDF of the install instructions on their site, although I do not mind answering any other questions you may have
Ed M that's weird they must have sent me the wrong ones I ordered them quite a while ago and never installed them because I would have to cut my strut bars in order for them to fit I figured that was probably wrong but ask somebody on a forum and they said yeah they had to do it too
Cool
Might be a back breaker for the passenger
My setup is NOT meant for any kind of sustained 2-up riding, that's for sure! It still functions as a 2 person bike, that seat just makes it impractical for long-term riding. But it looks good.
like the bike, dont like the red wires,, way to loud
South West Florida Aerial yeah, the red wires aren't for everyone, but I would be lying if I said I didn't like them 😀
Lol are you reading to us
Steve Coak Probably, but I forget. Are you against reading? Lol
