@@MaikeOatley It is. My problem with anything is consistency, whether it be knitting a garment, following a healthy diet or doing the chores. I tend to start (too) many things, then get overwhelmed. I’m aiming to be consistent with my daily A6 🥰
What a joyful video! I love your illustrations, your visual journaling style is everything I’ve been looking for 🥰 Girl and cat is my favorite! As a realism artist, cartoony illustration is something I covet and want to get better at so much. Why didn’t the Midori A5 work out for you?
Oh thank you! I’m so glad this video resonated with you! I used to be more on the realistic side as well and it took me a while to be comfortable with cartoony illustration. I guess for illustrative journaling the Midori A5 was nice, but the I also wanted to collage in it and for that I find A5 too big. I just couldn’t quite figure out what I wanted out of this notebook and what time commitment I wanted to get myself into. Overall though I love Midori notebooks. Have you tried them before?
thank you for sharing❤
You are so welcome 🤗
The 2nd one is my favourite 💕
☺️ Thank you!
I love your style! Maybe I will give this challenge a go.
Thank you ☺️ If you feel comfortable sharing, I’d love to see your picks ✨
Ooh this is fun! I’ll film mine today🎉

Thank you! Im so glad you find them inspiring ☺️ Happy new year to you too!
I really want to try that weekly spread comic ❤
It’s really fun! And it can be less time-consuming than daily drawings (but I guess that depends on personal drawing style and journal size).
This is so inspiring ! New things to try and do in my journal this year 😊
So glad you found inspiration in this video! Happy journaling!
Happy New Year Maike! Really enjoyed this, and thanks for your inspirational videos - I’m about to do day 1 in my A6 Avec 😊
A happy new year to you too!! Aw that makes me so happy to hear! I"m glad my videos resonate with you. Is this your first year doing daily journaling?
