Appreciate the great video. Currently have a 2017 Buick Regal that I need to turn in 9/20. I love the 259 Turbo engine on the Regal and not sure if I will be happy with the 137 HP of the Encore GX. Watching you merge onto the Interstate was helpful. I do quite a bit of Highway driving. Because of your video, I am still considering the SUV. Thank you.
I got the 2018 Buick Regal Sportback with the seats down it gets 61 cubic ft of space and yeah I gotta agree I’m in love with the turbo charged 4cyl in it But I gotta say it doesn’t feel as padded or loaded in the material department compared to your regal generation
I have a Essence trim “with all the trimmings” and love it. It’s rated for like 28 combined with the 1.3 FWD but I’ve been getting about 36 mpg and I drive mostly non-highway. And the engine is peppy as hell.
Simple Shopping Showoff I’ve done two road trips; one to Tulsa from home in Cincinnati and most recently between Cincinnati and Tampa with my dog. My only complaint is the adaptive cruise is, to put it mildly, aggressive. If I change lanes or the car in front of me moves it floors the accelerator. Now my only other experiences with adaptive cruise have been radar-based (which is laggy) and on hybrid cars (which also are laggy). So maybe my beef about the cruise control is just that it’s different from any other experience. I do enjoy the full-speed cruise. Was very handy in Florida in that horrific traffic.
I looked at these last weekend. I noticed that the 1.3 turbo that is available on higher level trims gets considerably better gas mileage, and it comes with a 9 speed automatic. The price difference isn't too much higher.
He said it was a little noisy and bumpy. When he scrolled through the display the indicated tire pressures were 45 psi!!!!!!! When I picked up my new GX, I checked tire pressures after sitting for 3 hours. All tires were 42 psi. Dropped them to 34 psi. Major difference on noise and smoothness.
GM = Made in Korea-Korea-China - Encore-Encore GX-Envision... Sad when Toyota is making most of their SUVs in the US. Monster Toyota/Mazda plant going up in Bama.
This is Buick’s idea of luxury? Cloth. Underpowered engine. Poor mpgs. Noisy. Bumpy. Cheap materials on the interior. Good luck to them trying to sell this when a much nicer Lexus UX is only a few thousand more. This isn’t a bad car, I guess, it’s just not anywhere near luxury or even premium. I don’t care how many features it has.
JC6817 I’m totally not defending the poor powertrain choice Buick made here, but the Lexus UX is just as disappointing, honestly. 161 HP in a “luxury” Lexus suv is embarrassing. Kia Seltos delivers a better powertrain than either of them for less money. Makes you wonder...
Jason HN I believe the Lexus UX hybrid is somewhere in the 180s in terms of horsepower. And the interior is much better appointed. I should know because I just borrowed one a month ago. I’ve driven the Encore and I’ve driven the UX. Both are nice, but I give a solidity and quality to the UX. The UX is a bit more lux.
That doesn't sound noisy at all for a small SUV (as you first said).

Would you recommend this vehicle over a 2020 mini copper S? Great review thank you!
It's not just Buick, but why do so may car makers have heated seats but not cooled seats? Not all of us live in the colder climates.
Thanks for that mate
I REALLY wish GM would get rid of the dials on the steering wheel and go to a full 4 way D-pad like everyone else.
Buick is always a good vehicle for you
Did they for get about the design of the antenna??

The main things I don't like are: The 3-cylinder engine, the CVT, the electronic parking brake and the keyless ignition.
Whats the problem. Even the gamera has a 3 cyl eng.
@@gamerg9420 If you studied engine harmonics, you would see why. They aren't the smoothest engines.
THANKS GREAT NEW LOOK I HAVE ONE
Front passenger seat folds for loungers items.
great review
At highway speeds what was the rpm?
Brad Yakubovic 2k-2.5k
3cyl T motor?!? Reminds me of the old Geo's Chevy used to sell. A turbo Sprint, 1.0L 3cyl turbo. Those didn't sell very well.
Nice car 😍😊🌷
Snow in North Carolina

Super excited about the 1.2 turbo 3 cylinder.... Said no one ever in real life....
I'll stick with the new Nissan altima since the Nissan has more power
no one cares
Rear looks like i20.

Pure trash
Go buy a rolls then.
I have one all wheel dr. Love 💕 it
White socks ha ha ha
Can't think of a reason to get this over most of the competition.
I agree. Who would? Pop a few more bucks on the competition and you have a much more worthwhile investment than this.
