I really like tour reviews! I’m looking for a small SUV because my Toyota RAV4 lease is due soon. This gave me all the information I needed to make a choice about this car. It’s so honest, and you cover everything anyone would want to know before he or she goes out to test drive. I appreciate it because I’m only 4’ 9”, and I need special features like a heated steering wheel, lumbar support, and room to cart around my granddaughter in a car seat and my dog in his seat, not to mention passengers. Thank you!
There are so many competitors to look at, I’ve reviewed them all in the same 10 categories. Check it out and let me know if I can help you. Just don’t pay retail, no matter what you choose. Thank you for the kind words and subscribing.
Car Coach Reports I will do that right now! Thank you! Any thoughts on a good lease on a car, or is that a dealership thing? Also, I would like to know which small SUVs are available with a heated steering wheel, if you happen to know. I have a thing called Raynaud’s syndrome, and my fingers turn white and get numb in the cold (even in the grocery store!). No one ever mentions it. I do also like the fact that you mention lumber support. That’s one of the reasons I went with a Toyota, because they used to be known for using the Mackenzie seats. You do such a great job! Must be kind of fun! 💕
This is merely a work commuter for me. With incentives and gm rewards all I cared about was AWD and heated seats. Warranty is a non issue as it’s a lease. I like your reviews. No nonsense.
Recently purchased a 2020 Encore GX for my mother, with the GM rebates it's actually quite a value at the price point. Went AWD to get the 9 speed transmission and the 1.3T, I had significant doubts about the power but it can get up at a reasonable clip and the AWD can be disabled easily if need be. At the Select level it's also worth it to upgrade to the power tailgate, can't imagine leaving that off. Hers was also optioned with the panoramic roof and ST package, nice features but not really necessary. Looking forward to taking a road trip with it soon, the gas mileage and interior comfort/sound deadening should make it ideal.
Great feedback, thank you for sharing. There are great deals on the Encore GX as sales are not what Buick was hoping for, glad you got a great deal. Its not a bad car, just wish it had more boost. Let us know how your road trip goes. 👍
I realize that you showed a picture briefly, but I think that the rare flat folding front passenger seat is worth mentioning (because people won't otherwise assume that such long stuff can be put in such a small crossover). I'd seriously consider this vehicle if it had ventilated front seats. Heated front seats is good, but I need both heat and ventilation in my front seats (back injuries in Southwest Florida).
How many times does she has to say this i not a fast car? Yet you people are still complaining about the engine size and speed? It's a affordable luxury vehicle for people who can't attain a new Lexus.Bmw and Mercedes Benz Suv.
I had an encore and now have a Ford escape titanium. I can get a GX for 22g but also have been looking at the seltos. Trying to keep my budget around 23g but I also have 3 boys who are tall....
The best review on this car, I test drove one the other day and every reason you didn't care for it, was why I changed my mind and did not purchase it, but it is a great looking vehicle, thanks again and all the best
Nice review. It is a nice looking car. I am interested in the S, also considering Genesis G70 and Tesla S. I am curious about the rear bias and how the SH-AWD feels. I drive a 2016 M4 and like almost everything about it, but am looking for a replacement in the next year or two. The Acura should be more comfortable and cheaper to maintain although probably less fun to drive. Thanks for the thorough review.
Wow that is a huge departure from a M4 to a Buick, you will be seriously disappointed. On the Acura’s the SH-AWD, they are excellent AWD systems. Going from an M4 to a G70 is not a bad choice if you are looking for a less expensive option that is fun to drive.
The question I have for you it seems like many of the companies who make sub compact suv/cuv are jumping into this in the subcompact XL class. Do you think we will see suv in this class like Buick, Chevy, ford, fiat, Jeep, Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, vw, Mazda? I hear more are jumping into this class . I know a fiat 500XL is coming out at some point.
Fiat has offered the 500XL for years, many of the other brands are offering sub compact XL vehicles, there moving our of cars and into multiple types of SUV and CUVs to meet customer demand. The new vehicles coming out in the next years is impressive
Car Coach Reports I am talking about the larger version of the 500X they got planned. Not the larger 500L, according to Olivier francios he said crossovers are the thing so we need to come out with this and this should. Be the next big thing for fiat. Also some people think with trucks being big many brands will sell midsize trucks to go agains the cuv.
Not a common video for people to make. But you will have no problem putting in 2 car seats. I would suggest bringing one and placing a child in it to see what kind of leg and head room they have once they’re in the vehicle. Always critical to keep them happy and safe.
Standard Encore models.....From what I see in my travels, most drivers /owners are older and the majority are females. They could care less about speed and body roll lets be honest. The majority of the'ir driving is around town too the grand kids house, Walmart, Dr's appt. and lunch stop and their hair dresser.
really? bet they end up loading a ton of incentives to move these. my kona limited turbo 1.6L with awd gets around 31-35 mpg and goes 0-60 in 6.7 seconds! with full 5yr/60 k warranty and 10/100k powertrain warranty for $26.2 k out the door. great review! but, i trust hyundai engineering and quality . haven't bought GM since 1980, and their engineering has not improved at all.🧐🤔😤☹️😣
@@CarCoachReports And me living in Vegas I am sunscreened to the max. I don't get out of bed in the morning, I slip right out. My best friend is a dermatologist . Good pick on my part.

Car Coach Reports I asked about leasing and saw that you have videos on this. Sorry and thank you!

I love my Encore base GX ST 1.2l in steel grey. It’s perfect.
I had an encore and now have a Ford escape titanium. I can get a GX for 22g but also have been looking at the seltos. Trying to keep my budget around 23g but I also have 3 boys who are tall....
Thanks for popping the hood.
Thats what we do
Is the 2020 buick encore base model worth a look?
Nice video and review 👍you review it step by step
Thank you so much 🙂

Bought a new 22 gx preferred and after owning it a short while we discovered no cup holders in backseats who makes a suv like that in 2022 !!!

I hope the new 2022 is good-looking at one

i'm opting for the ST package in 3 weeks when i get mine, the black body panels are hideous
Would two car seats fit in the GX? I can't find any video that shows 2 car seats, just one.

X3 baby...2023
Interior is best
Roomy is too small
Gas mileage is medicore.
Uber and lyft would love it
Yes I agree
When I looked at this last year they wanted 38k, I got a 2020 Hyundai Tuscon loaded, for 32k.
I love the Tucson
The problem I see with it is the 3 cylinder engine
Yup agreed
I'll take a Hyundai Tuscon Ultimate instead, better warranty
I agree
Thank you for not making average a 9/10.
Could you do a review on the malibu?
no more rebadged opels, so now just a rebadged chevy. gm just bought a 2018 kona and tried to copy it. 🙄😣
They certainly noticed the Kona’s success and tried to follow.
Blue haired old ladies luv the original Encore..
😂
you gotta have lumbar
Yes that is true 😁
1.3L and CVT .. ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww !!!!
😂😂
The AWD has a 9 speed
Needs the 2.0 4cyl or something bigger. It looks good but the engines are a fail. This car tops $38k not $30k Lauren
It really does need a kick in the pants in the engine department
Only if you are the worst consumer in the country. Massive discounts on these -- like $9k off MSRP.
Dirk Diggler obviously only idiots pay msrp. I was just pointing out she quoted the wrong price. So calm down.
And incentives for leasing or buying
It's an older persons car perfect for older demographics out there far cry the Buick grand national days 1.3 turbo no way typical General motors
So true

Lol good and accurate observation
Another thought, this honest review does not help Buick GX sales ?
Too many gizmos, gadgets and buttons for older drivers to comprehend .
All Buicks look round and bubbleish
Now they do, they lost their way, sadly
Its like the chevy trailblazer
really? bet they end up loading a ton of incentives to move these. my kona limited turbo 1.6L with awd gets around 31-35 mpg and goes 0-60 in 6.7 seconds! with full 5yr/60 k warranty and 10/100k powertrain warranty for $26.2 k out the door.

I love the Hyundai Kona, it really is a great value and one of the best in the segment.
Piano black and touch screens are terrible ideas.
I agree, natural oils on your skin just make a mess of the screen.
